This version really makes you listen carefully to the lyrics and I love it for that.
Especially the *"Foresaken I am awakened"* part.
Not to mention, if you really listen to the songs, each of them represent their mentality.
Bury the light and Subhuman - Vergil buries his pain, loss and what remained of his humanity (his light) after Eva died and thought Dante abandoned him. It took separating his demonic and human halves to realize that he was always in the wrong, that he was so wrapped up in power that he didn’t see the pain he was causing Dante and to the extent, Nero and was becoming the very thing he despised.
Dante is the total opposite. After Eva died, he rejected what he could of become and learned empathy and forgiveness after meeting Lady and Trish. Even the name, Subhuman, shows that Dante considers himself more Human than a demon. While Vergil handled his pain the wrong way by being total obsessed with power and trying to make sure he never relieved the night his mother died and didn’t confront his pain head on , Dante handled his by meeting The girls, Patty and Nero.
Pull my devil trigger!- the song literally describes that Nero can’t control what he is sometimes and cares about family more than power. Dante calling him deadweight and Learning Vergil is his dad, he was pretty much scared about becoming like his dad until he talked to Kyrie at the end of DMC5.
Capcom did a really good job of the songs and the little messages in them.

The light has been buried COMPLETELY in this version.
It's incredible how slowing the song down just a little changes the entire way I view it. It emphasises the tragic side of the song that's normally covered by the epic instrumentals and intensity of the song. It causes me to actually listen to the lyrics and what they mean making it emotionally heavy instead of rock/metal heavy...reminds me of a lot of Linkin Park songs, bleed it out being the most noteworthy
Yeah if Crimson Cloud was V's point of view of this whole mess. Then this should be post DMC5 Vergil (The unedited Bury the light feels more like Vergil's final stand against Dante, fitting for mission 20) , a being that was so full of himself and oblivious to the consequences now realising that the path he lead himself to was pure madness, saw Nero's pleads to stop and afterwards went to ironically, dig up the light remaining in him, seeing Dante as a rival and not just an obstacle to him related by blood.

Edit (14.04.2022): Still listening to this song. It helped me to go through some problems in my life, especially when i felt like a Vergil: alone and like i was abandoned by everyone. It still helps me. But, i'm glad that people agree with me about this version of BtL. I want to recommend you group Distant Dream, this is not an ad, i just really like this group, it also helped me to went through hard times.
The other one fits Vergil more in 5 although in 3 this could have worked very well or in a cutscene of 4.
I totally agree that this sounds very cool, but with all the fast paced clusterfuck happening in their surrounding at DMC5, i’d say the pace this song in is pretty slow

I love listening to bury the light when I play air arcade games. Especially in ace combat 7, I went through the story on all difficulty levels and knocked out all the content. There is something in it when you climb out of the clouds under this track and pour lead and missiles on enemies.

Other than it being slowed, the pitch down and echo also fills this song with even more depth and whatever emotion you feel when listening to the original (Motivation). The lyrics being stretched out here also helps to understand and digest better the true meaning behind the lyrics than in the original, that being, the story and darkness Vergil experienced (since he was young), and sought out (the Power he sought after since then). Last but not least, because it's just that good.

Motivation with the depression
At first, it will hinder you, slow you down. But then the post-depression will only Motivate you further the way it did Vergil.
The last few lyrics to this song have a completely different meaning to me now, because of a heartbreaking event that happened just a month ago.
In August, one of my cats (they're both indoor cats) got out of the house, and never returned. Over the next few weeks, we looked and looked, but we never found him. Now that it's the season of Autumn, I'm even more worried about him because it's gonna get cold. And this evening, I've been reminiscing about him.
One of my cats is a black cat, and she's a gremlin, but she's really sweet. The other cat, which went lost, was a sand-colored tabby cat with a heart of gold and the most precious squeaks. But once the zoomies kicked in, he could get pretty chaotic. They were the Yin and Yang to our home. And now we've lost our other half.
Which brings me to now. The lyrics in the last part of this song have a completely new meaning to me:
"Bury the light deep within" (Let go of the memories of him, because thinking about them will just cause me more pain)
"Cast aside, there's no coming home" (It's better to let go now because he can't find his way home)
"We're burning chaos in the wind" (Because of the world humanity has created, it's a loud and chaotic place, which is very overwhelming for just a cat...)
"Drifting in the ocean all alone" (...Which probably means he feels so alone, so afraid, that it feels like he's drowning in an ocean of fear and sadness all alone)
That must be a lot for a kitty.
