The Nautilus reef project

- The Nautilus Reef is a champion-themed artificial reef, which now resides as a place for marine life to grow around in Moreton Bay, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
It was made possible thanks to the Oceanic League of Legends community rallying together for the in-game event Ocean Week 2015.

You know, I had doubts about it being in the area they specified so i took a trip from Syd to Queensland to try and find it via Scuba Diving/Radar. It's actually there. Took me almost 7 Hours to actually find the damn thing but its actually there. It isn't down very far though, Scuba'd to it. I cant imagine what people will think when someone who has never heard of League actually scuba dives and spots this.

It is off the coast of eastern Australia, the closest is several species living in the Great Barrier Reef, but that is more than 500 km to the north of the spot.

It's a project back in 2015 called oceania week and players on the oceania server could earn points by doing something I forgot. By earning 3 points during the week, your summoner name gets carved somewhere on the statue. I think it's on the boulder that his anchor is attached in.

It's been 8 years and it's still there.

I feel very happy with this. This is just a beautiful way from Riot to left like a legacy of their game. Imagine in the future when maybe we tell our kids: I used to play that champ and had a lot of fun with my friends and now it is such a beautiful reef. I dont know its just so amazing... and also it's helpful for the little creatures in the sea :333
