    Cut-Rate Commander - Precon Upgrade Guide for the Creative Energy Precon from Modern Horizons 3 & its commander - Satya, Aetherflux Genius. #mtg #commander #modernhorizons3 #edh
    Hey folks! Submitted for your approval, we have the 1st precon upgrade guide for Modern Horizons 3 - this time covering the Creative energy precon and its face commander - the creator of the Aetherflux Reservoir itself , Satya, Aetherflux Genius.
    In this upgrade, in order for us to get the maximum usage out of this ability, as well as to build upon the core builds overall energy focused gameplan, we’ll be refining the base builds creature lineup with a new suite of ETB focused energy generators to kick our energy production into overdrive, as well as adding in a handful of non-creature focused energy generators, energy consumers, and overall energy payoffs to make use of the gigavolts of energy we’ll be able to generate by turning it into additional board presence, value, and utility. And then using the remainder of our budget, we’ll augment the builds somewhat lackluster targeted removal lineup with some staple entrants to provide the build with more means to interact with our opponents, as well as terraform our mana base with some faster lands to help us bring our gameplan online even faster and more reliably - providing Satya with all the tools that he’ll need to turn our deck into a lean, mean, energy generating machine that will electrify any opponents we face.
    Let me know if the comments below if you agree with my choices and/or what you would add to the deck instead.

    not an energy card but eomer marshal of rohan seems to work well. he is legendary but when he sees a leg die you get another combat. so copy him the original sees the copy legend boom and you get another combat. then next combat you can copy him again and legend boom the original and the copy will give you another combat. seems decent

    This is such a great upgrade list. Really focuses on what makes Satya so powerful without breaking the bank. The only real thing I disagree with is taking out Combustible Gearhulk. We have a high density of high mana value cards, so it becomes quite the gamble for opponents to repeatedly take the burn damage. Although I have also adopted the philosophy that milled cards may as well have been on the bottom of the deck instead of the next card I would have drawn, so it makes it easier for me to justify its inclusion.

    Another upgrade that fits and goes along with “Aether Revolt” is “All Will Be One”. Deals x damage to any target when you get x counters.
    Good upgrades and combining the two decks is great! Though personally I always keep Universe Beyond cards in their own deck/set.

    I'm looking forward to picking up some singles from this deck amd MH3. My Dr Madison Lee deck basically has 3 commanders depending on my mood: Lee for slower value and consistency, Liberty Prime for voltron-y smash, and Satya for go wide ETB value smash. It's been great fun

  • @VinceOfAllTrades
    @VinceOfAllTrades 19 дней назад +2

    I've noticed in these precon upgrades that you tend to keep the backup commander in the deck but cut most of the support cards for them. Is this an intentional decision? It seems like we don't lose much by cutting Cayth.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  19 дней назад +2

      Depends on the backup commander honestly. In this case Cayth, while not what I would consider the "best" 4 drop we could run, still is serviceable enough in this deck as a means to get extra permanent token copies of our creatures alongside our commander while staying within the $35 budget of our upgrade. But in the case of the commander having little or no synergy (AKA - wanting to do its own thing completely independent of our commander), I would then cut them so they could helm a build of their own.
      Hope that helps explain my reasoning.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  16 дней назад +1

      That's fair. They were more of an example of what direction we would need to take the deck in if we wanted to get any more mileage out if it since we've more or less run out of "good" energy cards to add to the build, but you are correct - Bondlands, Slow Lands, the other filterlands, etc. would all be fine, more economical additions to the deck to help us get more mileage out of our landbase without breaking the bank.

  • @chrisgebben2043

  • @alexanderspalding3541
    @alexanderspalding3541 18 дней назад

    I would hesitate to cut Jolted Awake so quickly, for just a single mana it is an extremely flexible recursion spell and at its very worst it will always still cycle even if we're energy-starved. I would maybe cut Roil Cartographer instead, as it's a very slow way to generate energy and we have more than enough ways to spend it at our disposal.

      @GrazzetMTG  16 дней назад

      Honestly you're not wrong. The Science! Precon as a LOT of energy support that is simply better than what we got back in Kaladesh, so we'd be severely hampering ourselves if we don't take advantage of it - but that does end up making this more a of combination of 2 precons with a handful of MH3 cards sprinkled in.

  • @Josh-Fischer9804
    @Josh-Fischer9804 19 дней назад +2

    I've already said it straight to some people for fun but buy this deck creative energy, the science deck from fallout, a booster box from Kaladesh and a booster box from aether revolt and you pretty much have an energy deck set for life as you can effectively get every energy card your heart desires with these four boxes alone but we may be set back $500 so be careful about that little hiccup when executing this idea as I said this is for fun but I'm not wrong

    • @liveanotheranime3526
      @liveanotheranime3526 19 дней назад +4

      This energy and Science Deck and singles is enough. Why would you recommend to someone new just wanting an energy deck to waste money on a booster box of Kaladesh and Aether Revolt when everything is in one of these decks or cheap singles? XD

    • @Josh-Fischer9804
      @Josh-Fischer9804 19 дней назад

      @liveanotheranime3526 because I didn't study the decklists and Kaladesh and aether revolt are the two sets that introduced energy counters as well as dominated with them and you are right cheap singles is both the way I go and the way to go as booster packs NEVER work in my favor and it is a money saver to buy singles rather than booster packs for me

    • @howtyplcal350
      @howtyplcal350 18 дней назад

      @@Josh-Fischer9804honestly I don’t think we run more than MAYBE 1 energy associated card from either of those sets that wasn’t reprinted in these decks in Grazz’s list. Most of the singles we have are the new ones from MH3, and I think that’s only maybe 10-15 dollars in singles

    • @Josh-Fischer9804
      @Josh-Fischer9804 18 дней назад

      @howtyplcal350 what this essentially means is that out of all four decks that were made and printed is that creative energy is the most budget friendly and most affordable of all of them that should be noted by all who play magic and all energy players should really rejoice.

      I have dabbled on wrestling before, mainly WWE but I fell of for the past 2 or so years. If I were to get back into it though, it would probably be AEW though, since WWE has had some... Issues - mainly involving Vince and a LOT of allegations, but also the booking. WWE Attitude Era wrestling was a gem though and I still remember it fondly (there was something in the water during the 90's man).

    You've gotta tighten this script up. I should be able to understand which cards and what set they're from are going into the deck just by listening.
    Once the listener understands the cards that are going in and coming out, you can move into whys and what the new cards do in comparison from the old ones .
    As is, I'm not able to clearly understand by solely listening a single card that's being added because you immediately go into card text and use cases.
    Slow it down, put more focus on the cards and that the script highlights them, and not necessarily what each individual one does so quickly.
    Putting additional adjectives in front of and behind card names, in a game where card names are already flooded with adjectives, really fails to make clear the actual name of the card you're presenting.
