If you look carefully, there is a Goof seen on the far left side between 1:59 - 2:07 with late 1970s - early 1980s cars and trucks seen in what is supposed to be 1961.
For me, it is embarrassingly hypocritical. He goes on and on about bringing freedom and wealth to people of other countries while thoroughly ignoring the horrific conditions African Americans and other dark skinned Americans had to face at home. And it would not have been revolutionary for him to address that, because the past two presidents (Truman and Eisenhower) had.
One of the best presidents that I admire, did a lot of research years after he was killed, I remember the 50th anniversary of his death on cbs, in 2013, it was really sad to hear from what I heard in school in the late 90s to early 2000s , he was truly an amazing, charming president who really did a lot for the country and to heal the world. Rip my friend.
Martin Sheen is a great actor but I think he wasn't the best choice for JFK. But it wasn't a totally bad portrayal either. His voice was too high in my opinion. To me he sounded more like Vaughn Meader who used to impersonate John F. Kennedy back in the day.
Check out William Devane as JFK in The Missles of October; he sounds like and personifies the man to better degree, I think. Still doesn't physically resemble him to a great extent, but his performance made me forget that. But Sheen wasn't bad here, I thought; a partially compelling performance at any rate.
I think robe Lowe looks the most like Kennedy out of all of the men I’ve seen play jfk. But yeah I agree a lot of the men who play jfk don’t seem to cut it in many movies for whatever reason. I believe that Blair brown does look like Jackie however
@@Steph-lc7hy Check out William Devane as JFK in The Missiles of October; he doesn't look much like him (except the hair), but somehow for me, always captured something about JFK that was just dead on. It's a great movie; if you get a chance, I think somebody may still have it up on RUclips.
Bruce Greenwood did a fantastic job as JFK in Thirteen Days but when this was made, Greenwood would have been in his 20's. Maybe James Franciscus would have been a better fit.
Martin Sheen is a great actor but he isn't cut out for the role of JFK. He was pretty good as Bobby Kennedy in The Missiles of October. William Devane did a better job as JFK in my personal opinion.
well she did focus her years as first lady to restore the WH and defend the preservation of hystorical places/monuments. it’s thanks to her that the current WH museum exists. so maybe the place wasnt at its best when they moved in 🥴
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES MADE ABOUT THE KENNEDYS

Possibly the second best inaugural speech ever, second to Lincoln's 1865.
It was a beautifully written speech. Almost entirely a foreign policy speech.

I like the actress playing Mamie Eisenhower, spot on.
Carmen Mathews I believe
The actor playing Pieer Salanger is great !
I like Sheen too but have to agree that there could have been a much better JFK choice for the part.
Personally, I think Martin Sheen was the best portrayor of JFK.
Agree
I like Sheen, but here he reminds me of mayor Quimby of the Simpsons. Lol!

Powerful man
I think Sheen is not was apropiateď to get JFk character...He's good for other kinds of movies
MrLGC2011 the song is Mr Wonderful from the broadway show on which it originally performed.
Has this been on Television since it first aired ?
Very dismal that place. Jackie was before her time with taste and fashion. Gave it a great timeless look.
10:11
I recall that pic was the entire Family and was taken in the Springtime
does anybody know the name of the song from 11:00 ahead? im crazy trying to find the name,,,,,

Well, at least Jackie wasn't quite as nutty about the WH interior decor as Mary Lincoln had been. Or was she..?

JFK wrote the speech with TS
