What would be really nice is in the description of the video to have a list of ingredients (like in an online recipe) and ideally even with a link to the product in the shop, inc. glue and varnish in the spray mix.
It’s about himself, not the diorama.
Omg you are a terrain Legend !!! So easy so cheap so fast and it Looks so good !!!!!
All these boards together is going to look amazing. Can’t wait 👍😁
Great idea to use tile grout as a binder/hardener and for the pigment, I usually just do like 3+ coats of watered down glue to get everything solid which takes days to do.
I've been watching you using these tiles with great interest. Much quicker, easier and more flexible that sculpting huge tables. Also if you get fed up just chip bits off and restart. I'm a convert.
Link to the music : Life in a Box and as the terrain came in a box there is the link BOX! Cheers Luke.
Makes it look so easy yet incredibly effective can't wait to get paid and start my own board
These are awesome! You’ve quickly become one of my favorite tabletop crafters! I can’t wait to try something like this out for myself
And I just ordered some scenery components from your American site. Nice, nice stuff and I was surprised how low priced they were. I don't know if you get much call for it, however some 6mm flock over here would be awesome! It's really cool to see your product line on a site for the USA. You're doing all the right things. BTW, you seem far more comfortable mentioning your products these days in your vids as you should be, they look amazing. I hope you're making some decent bank from your efforts. Keep after it. The sky's the limit, young man! ;)
Really enjoying these tuts as they make the process of making terrain boards much easier! I’ve seen other vids from other sites that are just ‘shite’ in either describing or they recommend really hard to get and expensive materials (I live in New Zealand...the only thing south of us is Antartica!). Keep up the great vids, looking forward to the next one!
Luke you are an F’ing genius. I’ve never seen a scene done so quickly, easily and with such natural results. I’m so glad are doing more videos these days. You really inspire me. Love, love, love as you say! :)
Reminds me of the rock outcrops in Kilnsey in the Yorkshire Dales. There is a pub just off the main road, right in front of the big rock face. Beautiful place!
The video I was waiting for!!
Thank you :P
I'd love to see how you would tackle a fantasy volcanic range themed board. That I would be very interested in :D
Sounds like Abroad in Japan's Journey Across Japan theme.
It definitely is the same song!
Yessssss
I am so glad you have an aussie supplier. ill be looking at getting myself some of your stuff!
Looks great, quick, simple and easy to follow, thanks for sharing
Cracking job!
Looking forward to the forest tiles.
Very important to keep the same color palette and surface texture across all the boards otherwise they will look ... off... when put together. They look awesome!
Fantastic result
Awesome!!!! Looks so real...and so beautiful, most impressive close ups, excellent job!👍👍👍
Dude, your videos are hilarious! also great job with the molding n terrain hobby, of course
Epic work as always..... really need to sort my man cave so i can build terrain.
You make it look so fun! And achievable
Where do I get basic hill Tiles?! im so confused cant find them anywhere
These look excellent. Bring them over for war!!! Great video mate.
If you want some good cactus for it, Pegasus' two sets are quite good to add to it
Just looked at the hash tags at the top of the video. Don't like the selloutshill one.
Just made me frown a bit.
By the by, I've just tried out your Arid Grasslands base ready stuff. WOW is that a brilliant product. I'm 100% getting the rest of the range.
Great product fella.
They look really nice
Looks really good as always! Nice video!
Amazing as always! I would love a board like this!
Love the sound affects
Excellent, keep up the good work.
these look awesome, nicely done!
Another awesome job.
Luke, love the channel. Another great video
Awesome work and great tutorial brother
Awesome video as usual sir! And thank you for your feedback, I hadn't thought of inks. In the spirit of modular, could you do a video or two similar to the video of the ruined church a month or two ago? I'd really like to see what other kinds of 40k things you've got up your sleeves!
Oh man just what I needed, I only have limited space and these are spot on. Could I use kiln dried sand instead of soil as per one of your earlier videos? Forestry next, cannot wait.
@@GeekGamingScenics Cheers Luke, off to the garden to dig up some lol. Look what you have started.......
Thanks Luke.
You made that look super easy... but you should seriously offer them for sale in your store (premade) they would sell like rock-cakes.
It looks F' in great
I swear I thought I was watching Abroad in Japan for a moment with that music 🤣
Any links to the pigments you mentioned using in your grout and soil mix?
ahahaha living in a box. what a jam
I was expecting you to play the theme from "Rocky"
Love it!!
Awesome stuff
I know you've been doing a lot of scenics over the years but have you ever considered doing a lighting tutorial? It would be really good for people doing ww2 scenics doing street lights
KILLER MUSIC TOO BRO
Just brilliant mate. I nicked your Whoosh on my 1k subs vid. Hope you don’t mind lol
Hi Lee, loving all your tutorials, they are fantastic. What ratios the you use for the Desert Sand mix?
@@GeekGamingScenics
Apologies for the silly questions, I'm new to this level of baseing, I was a GW texture guy lol
What soil do you use? Its it just really fine sand?
@@GeekGamingScenics 😲 well I would have never guessed lol 😆
@@GeekGamingScenics where can I get the pigments you used for these boards?
hi, can you put that tuna mayo stuff on top of a piece of plywood im thinking of using as a board
These are amazing. I’m in the middle of my own desert board- What kind of varnish do you use in your 50/50? Cheers
thats cool
No shill shirt? Sell out now a cop out? Great vid. What pigment you using?
@@GeekGamingScenics Ta Luke, keep selling out, you seem to be doing pretty well at it :)
U FUCKIN ROCK!
Ace!
Can you use Lukes APS modeling compound to make rockfaces in woodland scenics rock molds?
Ah...so here is the video. Come on Luke , cough up a couple of pence for a new spray bottle. 🤣 Nice.
Perhaps a silly question, but when using this technique on flat pieces of MDF (say 6mm) should I be concerned about the wood absorbing the PVA/Varnish mix and it warping or swelling as a result? Is it beneficial to seal the MDF before beginning or does the modelling compound do that for you?
Hi just wondering where I can get that board from with the hills shaped into it
woooooshhhhh How does one break a tripod? also, I like them hills bro. woooshhh
Love your videos mate, long time follower. I used some sculptamould and plaster sheets to cover my layout. After a few days however they are still a bit soft. I put a layer of acrylic paint over it as well. Do you have tips to make the surface a bit harder?
Lukes Aps no worries. I seen the video on how you make your own, I might give that a go. Thanks mate and keep the content flowing! Inspires me a lot!
Lukes Aps oh nice I’ll check it out, thanks!
What's the pigment you use in the soil and tile grout mixture? Brilliant work...love the vids!
Also what is the soil you use? Just some actual soil from outside?
Beth Anderson yeah check an older video on this. He bakes and sifts it. I used it and it’s great
The washes that you use on the cliffs/rocks, I see you use the technique all the time. What do you use for the washes? Is there a tutorial on this because they always look amazing when you do it, and really simple.
Lukes Aps As simple as that? That’s amazing! Thanks for the reply! I’ll give that a try.
Can you use Resin in the Woodlands Scenics Molds?
@@GeekGamingScenics thank you
Where do you get those boards??? I need them for my newest board
Where do the hill tile bases come from?
How do you store this? Any trick, shelves?
0:17 did we miss the "How Do" ??
Could you share the exact ingredients you used to make your sand?
@@GeekGamingScenics thankyou how much on the ratio of pigments did you use bc that stuff kinda pricey.
How do u seal ur rocks if u make them from insulation foam ready for painting?
@@GeekGamingScenics I heard if u spray them it eats the foam
Hi, i want to order some of your products but there's no Australia option in shipping, is this something that will happen soon? been enjoying your videos getting ready for a HO scale train table build :)
just seen the end of the video ;) Question answered
Hey Luke what's the best way to secure white packing foam to foamex?
@@GeekGamingScenics thanks Luke!
I have no comment about this video until 15:11 on the 2nd of July.
@@Orionneb A little,ssssssss funny,?

It's ok.
@@GeekGamingScenics My comment is modular. Check under your next video for further sections.
BTW , Hows the Helms Deep coming on?
Why do you add varnish to PVA ?
That looks like sculptimold...why is your product superior?
@@GeekGamingScenics - all good mate. Wasn't a criticism, just an observation and a question. I dig the work you do for the mini community. keep it up..new sub.
Where do the tiles come from?
Your audio is amazing. And you have holes in your ears.
Looks Great!

@@GeekGamingScenics Luke: thanks very much! Missed that - will watch again.

I got the same; added it to my watch later for when I got home. 😁
@@Velobetty 🤣🤣 I'll be honest, I watched it whilst having a skive at work 🙂
