My highlight of semi 2 was hearing everyone clap along to Serbia! And Romania too! I'm so glad they both qualify

Poland has the most beautiful beginning of all, it's raining, I lost my breath! A very atmospheric performance showing the fight against our fears, demons. I feel it 100% !!! For me, this performance is the greatest experience !!!

In the Polish performance, the moment when the dancers bump into Ochman was an element of the choreography. The dancers are demons symbolizing the hardships of life and attacked Krystian. This song has tremendous symbolism. I also don't agree that Krystian doesn't feel this song. He wrote it himself and each of his performances is always full of emotions :) best regards!

@@lenalena6019 I really don’t know what wiwi had said, neither I care. That song is simlpy generic. Last night, it the room of 12 people everybody was asking where did we hear this already. Also, those shaking effects and pouring rain were just bad. So cliche.
I'm glad I am not the only few who appreciate and like Stefan's (Estonia) and Andrea's (N.Macedonia) performances.
I personally voted Estoniia, Belguim and North Macedonia. My sister voted Poland and Azerbaijan.

I’m so proud of Brooke. She grew so much and in the end arguably deserved a qualification over some of the others but well done to everyone that qualified. It’s a shame we got so many ballads in this final and lost quite a few of the great bops. The second half of the grand final is just filled with slow songs again like 2015 was. All great songs, but we could have lost a few of them to make the final more entertaining

I honestly love Brooke but the ballads were also very beautiful, I enjoyed the Australian, Azerbaijan and Polish performances so much!!

I liked her way above many other qualified artists. To me 🇨🇿 was probably the best of the night.
Romania 😍catched me immediatelty.... what a magic great song, then those ethno disco vibes... and his outstanding great dancing.... i just felt happy - he got the latin countries and all the balcan and mediteranean countries

I disagree when its about Polands dancers routine, as Ochmans said its resembling fears, demons which we are struggling and fighting with so them touching him in any way Id say its on purpouse, cause struggles and demons are trying always to gets in our way
Yep it was on purpose, I mean come on so many rehearsals, everything had to be perfect for the actual performance, who would actually think that there was place for such a rookie mistake xd

So strong semi final, and my favorites here are so many. Some unfortunately must go, and fortunately it doesn't mean that they were not good enough, to be really good songs. Some of these I enjoyed the most, was from Georgia, Cyprus and Ireland. Romania surprised me a lot. And I believe it was qualified instantly, and this is all about achieving a good performance with the audience included. This semi is among the best semi finals ever, if not the best.

Israel had so many Eurovision drama in the last weeks, I did not surprise his NQ, I also liked the performance of Andrea, but the song was weak. Romania & Estonia are good surprises where Belgium & Finland not. I mean I love the Rasmus but his voice is so dead. Also Belgium hit no note that he did in the music video just like Cyprus which make me think that they both played very much on their vocals in the video because the fact is otherwise.
I already do not really like the song from Israel to start with and hearing some of the crazy stuff he has been up these past weeks and seeing him harass the presenters last night was the last straw for me....he was horrible.
Yeah Cyprus were really disappointing I bit like Albania.
@@EmoBearRights funnily for two opposite things. Albania did too much and it was messy, Cyprus was just kinda dead on stage.
@@mjm3091 I agree with you actually. I think the staging in both cases wasn't great something that captured more the feel of the videos would have been great.
@@EmoBearRights Tbh - I loved the Cyprus staging, it was actually giving me Birth of Aphrodite. But they shouldn't have put her in a dress - instead make her move and express more and definitely sing louder (or boost the mic). Or at least put a mask on her face so we could focus on dancers (who should have been given better choreography). I genuinely wonder what happened. Did she just flop, was she nervous or was she hurting?
So sad for Cyprus - should have kept it all in Greek. Andrea's sooo much better than Circles.
I gave Australia 10 votes as Sheldon is my fave in the whole competition, big Sweden fan as well.

I will be suprised if he pulls a good placement in top 10. If we won't change the tacky graphics, I don't see it. It's the redo of Michał Szpak, a fan-liked dude with great vocals singing mediocre song with unimaginative staging. I still think we should have sent the sign language song instead - at least it would make history for the competition.

They also speak french because it's the second official language of Europe. In fact when the countrys give the points in the final they can speak only french if they want.
I think they also do French because there are a lot of French speakers across Europe, like in Belgium, Switzerland, France etc.

I wrote this on Luke’s channel but here’s my initial reaction to all of the qualifiers:
Belgium: WTF? The staging was meh.
Czech Republic: Good
Azerbaijan: Not my favorite but not surprised
Poland: Good but those effects are tacky
Finland: I guess there’s room for a rock song
Estonia: Good and I hope it closes the show (it is closing the Final)
Australia: Good. It came alive today.
Sweden: never a doubt but I feel it lost its intimacy
Romania: Spanish fans got this through!
Serbia: Phew!!! I’m still waiting for the secret to Meghan Markle’s hair!
The only one I’m sad for is San Marino but it’ll leave in Eurovision infamy for years to come.

I only like 4 songs from semi final 2. Btw, i really like your videos of Eurovision.
You’re not the only one, my top 10 is made up of just one semi 2 song (Serbia) and the rest are either from the big 5 or semifinal 1. Semi 2 was full of songs that I found pleasant, most of my least favourite songs, and a couple or two that I was rooting for, out of which only Konstrakta qualified.
As a show though, I have to agree that this semifinal was generally more visually spectacular

I dunno, I felt this semi-finals was underwhelming compared to the first one. There were some good songs, but I found myself forgetting them almost as soon as I heard them for the most part. I had to pay attention to the recap to make my top 10 (and for the most part I couldn't even order them) and I did guess 8 of the 10 that got through. Overall I felt the songs in the first semi-finals made more of an impression on me. My favourite, North Macedonia did not make it through, while the entry I didn't like at all (Serbia) did. So go figure... Come tonight, I think Portugal will remain my favourite this year, and the overall top 6 list I had from the first semi-finals will probably remain mostly unchanged. Perhaps France will make it on there somewhere, that one looked promising to me. I have deliberately stayed unspoiled before this week, I hadn't even heard my own country's entry until I heard it in the semis (Norway - currently it's number 5 on my own list) lol

Not bad I guess - but I've never liked Popular, I think Euphoria is overated, Undo just isn't my cup of tea and nor is Sanna's style of singing, never cared for Franz's If I Was Sorry - very bog standard, I don't really like Dance You Off or Benny boy's cocky attitude or its staging not bad as souless as all hell, Voices is very generic - Tusse is great though..
You was ok, but otherwise very average songs from average preselections.
I would say Sweden doesn't necessarily have good songs (or bad songs), but their performances are made well, they are good enough to push to the finale. But aside Euphoria, Undo and Hold Me Closer, I don't really think the songs or singing was good enough to be in top 5, like Jury loves to put them.
Isreal and ireland should have qualified instead of belgium and azerbaijan

But Krystian Ochman has an incredible voice, and the performance was great too! So for me San Marino isn't as good as Poland
@@patrickb1811 I didn't know it was the pitch perfect contest. San Marino, for me, was the most entertaining act of the night. Far better than Rasmus that were pitchy asf and went thorugh just because of their name, or Romania, again another pitchy one. I'm fine if you don't agree with me but please don't tell me what I should think.
@@twiceonce444 and I'm perfectly fine with that. I found Poland and Australia insanely boring, a nice toilet break. I can admire their skill in singing but it doesn't change the fact that I would never go to see a gig of them
Tbh I thought Poland would make a better staging. I was hoping we will finally show Europe something classy and great. Well, that didn't go well. The staging was cheesy. It's like they had so many ideas, but instead of selecting the best ones, they decided to do little bit of everything. And all that it did was to to drag the attention from the song itself instead of just creating a right vibe for it. Also Krystian's outfit didn't suit the story they were trying to tell with this performance. I no longer believe we have a chance to win. All we have now is Krystian's incredible voice and a quite good song. So disappointed because I think there was so much potential.

Why do i get the feeling that Il Volo is the eurovision rip off of the famous quartet, Il Divo.
Let's be honest this contest is all over the place as far as rules go, There should be no fav 5, who buy their way into the final, who gets the money and what is it spent on? , Also its the Eurovision, so why are outside countries in the contest. Oh wait yes there is more money, the more countries , and the voting is a laugh each country's votes should be broadcast from that country , Its no longer the Eurovision song contest , It's a stage show from around the world, A joke.
That was the worse semi final ever in terms of quality songs. So many generic amateurish performances. The results are a big shame.
