The postcards before each number are not from the country performing, but from Italy, the host country. This is usually used to do tourist advertising for the country.
The reason why the presenters interrupt sometimes is because some countries have a commercial break at that time.

Snap was so underrated in the contest, it was a crime. I also had a heart attack when the door ripped.
Also, during the bridge of the song the whole room turned around. For the majority of the song the public could see into the room.

My favorite of this semi finale was Portugal, it's about her missing her grandmother that passed away, if I remember correctly, and you can hear how heartfelt her performance is, and it sounds so good with the harmonies from the backup singers she got with her on stage, and Siudade I think is a portugese word for the feeling of longing or something like that, that she felt was the best word to describe how she felt. I never really liked Give That Wolf A Banana that much as well, I always thought it was annoying but non the less a creative interpretation of Little Red Ridinghood. And I just thought Albanias song and performance was a mess, sorry. I'm gonna look forward to see your reactions to all the shows, I just hope you don't stop at 2004 which was the year they introduced the semi-final concept, but you will go down to even the 90's, 80's, 70's and even way back to the 60's if you can find recordings of it. The 60's/50's was really old school classic with mostly the performers concentrating on the song and mostly letting the song speak for itself not putting a big effort on dancers and big stage production, but from what I've seen, it was great non the less. I can understand if you might feel like taking a break from this now and then, because it's a lot to go through, but thumbs up for you doing this 👍😊

So many Norwegians that competed for different countries this year. Half of Subwoolfer (the other half was Ben Adams from A1), Amanda Tenfjord from Greece (lived in Norway pretty much her entire life) and in the other semi final two thirds of the group We are Domi are Norwegian (the guys on instruments).

The Dutch girl actually started crying at the end of her performance. She actually told that in a Dutch interview (i'm Dutch).
I would recommend watching it from like 2009 onwards instead of watching backwards so the winner would still be a surprise

For me(!) the red haired girl from austria(Pia maria) was the best contestant in history i love her music. They did her dirty with not unveiling her performance in which she got selectet to represent the country. She sufferd from covid right after getting announced which caused her severe vocal problems thats why her voice wasnt able to sing the song in the original much higher key for 3 minuites straight. Shes actually releasing her 5th single in about a week and un hyped for that. Hope to see her in the contest again in the future

It was "Fai Rumore" from Diodato, the artist who should have represented Italy in eurovision 2020 before it was cancelled.
The performance is truly amazing and the whole crowd was singing with him because it became a sort of anthem during the pandemic and has now a more deepful meaning to us after corona and after he sang it in the Arena di Verona in 2020, completely alone (also an outstanding performance, I suggest you to watch both).
Hope you'll read this and do the reaction, at least I hope you'll listen to it by yourself because it is really beautiful.
