- Check out this clutch three pointer from Paul Pierce as he pulls up in the face of league MVP LeBron James and sinks the BIG shot to give the Celtics a four point lead in the final minute of Game 5, lifting Boston the win and a 3-2 series lead!
pierce is one of the most underrated clutch players of all time
+2RaWLuke Wouldnt call him underrated, he's really well recognized for this.
I went to a game at the Garden when he dropped 42 on Dallas and we heard nothing of it on SC smh
not true
everybody knows about the truth
He’s not underrated but he says dumb stuff
Lukeyylu the most underrated
Lord could you imagine if the Heat would`ve lost this series after this Piece shot? Lebron would`ve never heard the end of it
MrNBA2KHighlights dom yo is that you? Ur so young bro at the time
That's why LeBron went off so hard in G6. Because his legacy was essentially on the line.
This was more important for his legacy than 3-1
Here after your video on it 3 years later.
Robert Phillips yes really lol.
i cant say how much i miss these boston teams
Hassan Elzeeny I’m a lakers fan but this Boston team is one of my all time favourite teams! Damn I miss this era of basketball!
Hassan Elzeeny what you think now.
how about now?
Yea this team had so much heart, grit, and savviness
OR DO WE LETS GOOOO
The most clutch shot I have ever witnessed. I know they didn't win the series, but at this moment PP was immortal, having made the most clutch play in C's history. This play guaranteed the Game 5 victory and looked like a huge swing in momentum for the entire series.
Yeah then he disappeared the next 2 games. So much for clutch.
KillaSin515 Are u saying PP isn't clutch ??
Maybe in past series but not in that series. One lucky shot is not clutch. Clutch is going on the road and scoring 45 points while being down 2-3 in the series facing elimination.
KillaSin515 Clutch is to to play great when it matters most.. Making the big shots that mean the most. This shot wasn't lucky... PP was at it his whole career. But I agree PP had such a bad game6........
Clutch is all the time when your team needs you. Game 6 and 7 PP was needed by his team and he was no where to be found. So yeah that shot was lucky in game 5. Why couldn't Mr. clutch be clutch in game 6 and 7?
To this day, I still find it impossible to believe that Pierce wanted a screen to go at LeBron instead of Battier. Nuts to think about, but it worked and he hit the dagger right in his face.
cus lebum's defense is overrated
@@dingykixman get yo goofy ass out of here who has probably not touched a basketball in his life. Just shows you did not watched this series at all.
Battier was arguably the better defender. He wasn't flashy like LeBron, but A LOT of NBA players said he was their toughest defender. He not only blocked shots, but he had a technique of contesting where he would outstretch his huge hand in the shooter's face and block their vision when contesting shots. Battier was never an all star, but he was on some all defensive teams and his specialty was lock down defense and doing the little things that lead to winning consistently. He was an underrated defender and player overall.
Paul pierce one of the best players ever . He did that move plenty of games
This series was must see tv every night. The old Boston Celtics vs the heavily favored Miami Heat. The heats roster was stacked, including the bench. First guys off the bench for boston? Mikael Pietrus and Greg Steimsma. If Avery Bradley was healthy and Jeff Green, I 100% believe the Celtics would've won this series.
Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
KillaSin515 its def a possibility they couldve won. i remember game 2 was a garbage call on rondo to toss the game over to the heat. it was a great series regardless, the better team won. would've been a lot more entertaining seeing jgreen and bradley out there though thats for sure.
I'd say Bradley or Green and C's win
@joseph ofori people really like to leave that fact out. We all know what happened in 2011.
@@seanandrews5099 nah. The officiating was even.
Boston was old but they managed to push Miami to 7 on pure hatred 😂
‘Pure hatred’ This comment got me dying 😂 but it's so factual. Celtic really had no business taking this to 7 games. The motivation was strictly to dismantle Lebron.
😂😂😂 that hatred made them all 5 yrs younger
I can’t even begin to fathom how much Pierce would be talking about this today if his Celtics won the series.
Ohhh man considering the fact that bron legacy was on the line not just this series the season but bron woke up though dawg but pierce would’ve became a superstar if he won this
Paul always been a superstar
I think him pushing lebron to the brink of elimination made lebron a better player he wasn’t afraid to take shots in the clutch
They would have won the title this yr if they won this series.
@@brenttenorio9265but the Celtics superteam of 5 guys didn’t work
This series was better than Cleveland vs Golden State
L
^^ you took the L tho
TheEndermanGaming I TEG that L goes to you! Lol.
Michael Terrell dang your so late
I agree they weren't jacking up 3's the entire game in this series this Celtics team would make the Warriors scream in submission with their ferocious defense lol.
Pierce was an absolute unit. What an amazing era of the NBA.
People don’t understand forreal
this shot woke up the sleeping giant.
Lol
It’s true. I’ll never forget that Game 6. The most dominant game of basketball I’ve ever seen. Man was on fire, hitting contested jumper one after an other. Awful to watch as a C’s fan.
Dude only got a great game bc Bosh returned. That move KG away from the Basket. Gave the Lebron a free run to the basket.
The truth hurts.
I remember this like it was last year. I was so hype when Pierce hit that 3... damn near heartbroken when they lost the series. I loved that Celtics team.
A lot of people write Pierce off because of some of the (admittedly) dumb things he’s said on ESPN as an analyst... but make no mistake, Pierce was a cold blooded killer on the court; was damn close to having 3 rings rather than 1. And even just with 1, and Finals MVP, it cements his place as a legendary hall of fame player.
It's moments like this that defined Pierce's legacy. He will be forever missed in a Celtics uniform. I think I speak on behalf of all Celtics fans when i say this, thank you Paul, for everything.
Pierce is a very underrated player but very dangerous 🔥
Celtics should have won game 2, refs blew calls vs Rondo down the stretch...... if we were able to beat the Heat, then they would have won the championship in 2012....
idk about winning the whole thing...but yes we wouldve beaten the heat at least
bleedcelticgreen34 the thunder played like some pussys that year, celtics most definitely would have won it all
u are confused, okc would have won
alvarolokuk heat won in 5. Celtics would’ve won in 6 or 7.
Exactly
This moment created one of the most legendary performances next game😈
WATCHING THIS AFTER KG EXPLAINED IT IS CRAZY, P SAID IM COLD BLOODED AND KG FACE SAY IT ALL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Paul Pierce one of the best clutch players in NBA history!!
For sure top 5
"One of the most underrated clutch players of all time" That's a FACT
"He can't hold me he can't hold me" !
I'm from Chicago and Paul Pierce is my favorite player, he had a game against the New Jersey Nets in the playoffs. He was like
0-17 in the first half. In the 2nd half he scored almost 50 points. Paul is the man
yep. 2pts in the first, then 48 in the second half
idk why but it seems like when pierce play lebron face to face, he always owns him
lol what do you mean Lebron dropped 45 points on pierce in game 6 of that series
Pierce is 7 years older than LeBron this was LeBron's prime so I'm not surprised LeBron dropped that 46, he should have. That was a career defining moment, they lose that game 7 and its 3 times Pierce has knocked him out of the Playoffs.
daang you just got owned by a giiirl!!
Abigail Weller But you have to remember that Pierce was still putting up 19 points a night when this happened. He was still a quality defender as well.
86SuperRay and Pierce dropped 41 or did that little fact slip your mind
He is one of the greatest players of All time
top 30 maybe i guess
top 60 no doubt, maybe top 50, and my fav player of all time that's for sure go c's
hof yes
still LOVE watching this in 2018!!! The Truth!!!!!!!!!
"Way downtown" lol he was right at the 3pt line
How times have changed lol
that really was cold blooded as hell tho
The truth I BLEED GREEN!!!!
LOL
Most clutch players in NBA history:
1. Micheal Jordan
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Paul Pierce
If pierce was the same age as lebron then I think pierce would beat him any day
lol, keep lying.
probably not, but it'd be a good game.
bruh I'm dying lmao
Mystic Mac naw
Pierce without KG, Allen, and Rondo on his team would never beat LeBron.
Pierce wanted the match up with Lebron , because he knew bron cant & could never guard him.
So why was he 6-19
The fact that Boston almost won this series goes to show u how good pierce was
He was literally 6-19 from the field that game😂
STILL LOVING THIS IN 2022!!!!! 💚💚☘️☘️💪💪
thank you!!! Pierce is so underrated and I think one of the best PF to play
Just love it when the HEAT crowd gets quiet.
Cold blooded
I remember loving Big 3 Boston and being Lebron bandwagon at the same time and being scared that this was it for Lebron and the Heat again.
But The Truth was that he awoke a sleeping giant in Lebron in Games 6 and 7.
Does that epic shot turn out to be the last great moment of the Big 3 Celtics?
Pierce said "Im Cold Blooded!!!" Heat cant handle the truth!!
Mike Breen : "one of the underrated clutch players in the NBA." QUOTE FOR TRUTH
what a moment to witness was that
As a Heat fan I can say that was a classic moment
dude was a legit menace, people don't give him enough credit
Mannn the fact that the series was tied 2-2, game winding down to the last minute, shot clock winding down to the last 10 seconds, the play doc drew up was broken the players didnt properly execute it, AND BRON FOULED HIM (WITHOUT IT BEING CALLED IT WAS A SUBTLE FOUL), And PP still hit the shot ... he's a true legene and all time great !
even though they lost, this still gives me the chills
that slap on rondo was ridiculous, i nearly punched the wall when they didn't call it. lebron in 6 bro, there are no words, he absolutely took over and there was nothing we could do, really impressive
Paul is soooooo clutch
You gotta have balls to take that shot!-Paul Pierce
That what you call CLUTCH! . . .struggling all night long, then comes. . .Boom!.
Underrated the truth was a baller n clutch as hell
I remember It well, that was a awesome shot, It can make his career highlight video.
Just gotta love Doc's face at 0:44. He was like "Yeah that's the way it has to be!"
He is underrated. He doesn't get the respect he deserves for being one of the best players the league has ever seen.
THANK YOU PAUL. CELTIC LEGEND.
pierce never gave a F that lebron was the declared king
I just remembered being shocked. It looked like Boston would take the series and break up the Miami BIg 3 before they ever won one title.
I thought we were going to the finals that year I was so happy
iMAJESTiC me too
I thought so to
Lmao The truth hitting this over someone that people refer to as the Goat and there’s weird internet nerds that disrespect his legacy smh
Paul Pierce is one of the most underrated clutch players in the league.
Pierce is so underrated bro
If the refs didnt screw the celtics on game 1 or Bradley didnt injury his shoulder, the Celtics would have won the series.
Without a doubt, Celtics were facing two opponents
Refs screwed with them in game 2. They just got beat in game 1, though
NBA GodFather stfu
If if if if
one of my favorite shots ever. if the refs didn't steal game 2 from the Celtics, this shot would have won the series.
Pierce not afraid to shoot, not afraid to miss.
who else remembers this like it was just yesterday? about to be 5 years...
you know what happened in game 6 😏
Then LeBron came back with the legendary game 6
I can watch this on loop all day.
damn this is basically the al Harrington shot but over lebron james in the nba finals...pierce was such a goon in his prime very underrated
Cold Blooded..
All you fans sayin LeBron is better than pierce are just stupid, yes lebron has better stats, and now is a better player than pierce is, but The TRUTH was in Boston since 98' and didn't have anyone good to play with the whole time until KG and Ray Ray got TRADED to the celtics, and he still never gave up on the Celtics organization, his ring is EARNED and well deserved, Lebron took the easy way, and even THEN he need help from Stern to actually win the title, stats don't mean shit! Pierce is a delight to have as a part of an organization, Pierce>Lebron
Lol. Ok.
KillaSin515 www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/22369617/lebron-james-says-paul-pierce-is-his-biggest-rival This is respect right here
So you're saying players should wait and see if they're lucky enough to have a smart front office that signs good players?
LMAO
That man called a pick just to get lebron on him and made da shot over him ! Pierce was cold blooded frfr
FINALS BOUND AGAINST THE HEAT TOO I CAN FINALLY GET OVER LOSING THIS SERIES
Some say he's too old to play
FUCK EM'
I'm just swinging by to relive. Oh yeah while I'm here. Dont discredit paul like he was a bum. I mean dude was stabbed 11 times. Played. Got pantsed made a three over artest. Hes probably hit a game winner va your favorite team. And he pit the three right in Harrington's face.
You my boy for this comment lol
Such a legendary shot
Moments and Headlines like these are what I'm gonna miss about these celtics. Its only been a year since, but it already felt nostalgic!
Hopefully he's doing this kind of stuff in a Wizards uniform
Lol you got your wish
Yup...see bank shot. "I called game"
Clippers now
All clippers need is a clutch scorer and they just got it
that moment...
it was like 6 am (where I live) and 1.5 hours left for school. I hadn't slept whole night waiting for this game. honestly I didn't expect celtics to win as a celtics fan. but as this moment came, I leaped and I was like "woooooaaaaaaaahh" like other celtics fans.
and speaker said: "in clutch moments, big players get bigger. however, small players get smaller"
I apologize for waking you up dad. (again)
8 years later and I still enjoy watching this and come back to it
He's the goat
I'll NEVER get tired of watching Paul Pierce pwn LeBron!☘☘☘
Crazy you say that when bron Carried the heat back in then won the finals. Not to mention he dropped 45 on his head next game and like 30 the next. Stupid ass boy.
i missed this game and everyone's been talking about pierce's three so i just had to check it out. i'm a solid Lakers fan and i've hated on the Celtics on principle but this guy is showing LeBron how clutch is done
the three's even tougher than i expected since it was a face-up jumper, not a bleed at the corner or desperation throw or even off a pick and roll. that was one on one wow
This is a really important game for Celtics. Great victory.
Paul pierce is the Truth!!
we don't need an Answer, nor a King, either a Mamba. Boston, we've got the Truth!!
paul pierce's proudest moment in his life lol
He is definitely not underrated...that has been his perfected game for years and years
LeQueen can't even block the shot of 35 years old Paul Pierce 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mj trash
DAMNNN Pierce just took Lebron to school: clutch 101
As a Heat fan and Miami Native. We have no excuses. Boston Played Harder, Smarter and more Team basketball. Series isnt over but it will be hard to beat a championship team in their House with momentum like this. But nothing is set in stone until the end credits start rollin so dont count them completely out.
Kobe and Pierce are the most clutch players in game, they can go 0-whatever and hit the go-ahead basketball. Thats why they have rings.
Favorite moment of your career from you. You will be missed boss man ):
paul pierce has been doing his in his entire career , young nba fans always talk about how kd and melo where great scorers , pierce in his prime was a beast , 6'6 230 , cant run as fast as lebron cant jump as high as vc but paul is still there , no doubt HOF ,
WTF underrated clutch player lmao hes one of the clutchest in NBA history lmao
“Cold Blooded” - The Truth
I was freakin out big time when he hit that! It was amazing!
I'm surprised. I'm actually seeing Heat fans giving props to Pierce? Instead of some stupid hate comment? .... Wow. Props to you guys. Finally being mature about a loss.
never gets old
that was straight up ruthless, talk about rippin a guys heart out
Paul Pierce an underrated clutch player? U kidding me? He's the Truth
Boston is getting their ring this year .... Paul Pierce said before the playoffs it feels like 2008 again ... I believe it .... Boston FTW
Best series of this seasons playoffs by far, shame the Celtics didn't win :/
