- From the creators of Alfie's Story, we introduce Control feature film from Not in our community based on real stories of victims of grooming and exploitation.
This series-come-film following the story of Sarah and her stepbrother Kyle as they are groomed by a gang after a vulnerable period of losing Sarah’s dad. We see how sexual (CSE) and criminal (CCE) exploitation impacts their friends and family as both of them become increasingly tangled in the manipulation of gang-leader, Sami, and exploitative couple, Lee and Nikki.

Any parent that allows children to hang around with adults and know what is happening need prosecuting as facilitators.. I know the scenario in video isn't about parents knowing.. But it definitely happens

@@sarahwynn6486 that isn't what I was meaning I said about other situations not the scenario in video... some children parents enable abusers Access to their kids..for eg 13 year olds going to drink/drug fuelled parties with adults without parent present but with permission..I was pointing out other ways grooming happens..

It's a way to make you complicit with your own abuse. It's a form of manipulation. When a pedo gives you "candy" then guilts you into doing disgusting things... that's grooming. The most disgusting form of abuse, in my experience. It'll destroy you mentally for life.
Grooming is a technique used to get someone to trust you. After gaining your trust, they exploit you and make you do things you don’t want to do. Lots of love bombing and lies and manipulation and deception and storytelling is used. When you are inside the manipulation, you don’t see the manipulation and that’s how they trick you. (If you saw the manipulation, it wouldn’t work.) it happens a lot to children because they haven’t had enough life experience to see the manipulation. But it can often happen to adults, specifically someone who is vulnerable (just experienced a big loss of some kind and doesn’t have the support system they need).
