My ga 2000 suddenly shut down. I just put back into the box and leave for 2 months but when i check while ago, its turnoff already. Any idea about the issue?
Great that you pointed out the silver oxide battery faults. Amazing Casio actually designed their movement to resist damage to the main board from acid leaks. Educational stuff!
I have this model. The bad: 1. As soon as I wore it with the black band, I got asked if I'm in the military. I'm a fit guy with short hair and don't want to look like I'm LARPing. 2. Negative display readability issues. 3. No lume on the indices. 4. The most comfortable band is the nylon, but I have to worry about getting it wet. 5. No part of the watch says "Protection." The good: 1. Watch fits great. 2. Tastefully styled. 3. You can read the time while using the stopwatch. 4. Lume on the hands. 5. Analog light and separate display backlight.
Hi bro! I own blue ga-2000 and its 5 days with me already...I waited it since it's released and I didn't expect how small the watch is. bcoz I like much bigger watch, But I still love it maybe bcoz the design and the feel was superb and still can't believe how much I love this watch..for now..😀
The atomic updates are very hit and miss depending on where you live. Where I live I don't find that it connects more than once a month and I leave mine out on my window every day. The solar....ya maybe it's a cool thing to list as a feature. But I'm gonna say that this battery setup is going to last more than 5 years and for the price of the watch - even if you toss it and don't replace the battery you're doing pretty well. It is an understated face which is not the norm for most G-Shocks....good looking watch.
Dude . 10 good points. Outstanding watch. Check this watch carefully man. To me they send u a used watch. Based on A) sweat deposits on back cover at time stamps 0:08 and 4:22. B) at 6:15, there is a chip off area (black palstic around 8 o'clock of the button) at button rim.
i love the design of the watch..somehow it looks like a futuristic garmin watch..this watch will be more awesome if it is equipped with 'tough solar' and luminous indices.

The only thing pull me off is the lack of Solar power function. I believe G-Shock is kind of watch that once you set it, you should forget it forever, grab and go anytime. So the battery changing thing just pull me off. I know some of you might say something like: "Ohh dude, solar powered watches need to change battery too...yadayada", but the things is, I never change a single thing for my solar powered G-shock for more than a decade.
#4 & #5 is an issue of Casio's own stubbornness with custom lug designs, forcing us to use those stupid adaptors. They could've simply use standard lug design and sell us a bunch of straps. I'm glad Casio finally hired some designer that could convince them to change their underwear. Now let's see this trend continue with their other G-Shock. And make me a Carbon Core Frogman!!
Great video. I like the overall design. I like G-Shock's, but some seem a over designed. The back design is great, but I go back and forth on rear metal plates. My top like is the interchangable banda. That alone gives it more versatility. I can't say I dislike anything because I've never worn one.
I have that watch and I think it is nice and good looking, only downside are pin holes in the case. They made simple holes in the case without any metal part in it. If you change often the strap I think that this holes will be destroyed, they don’t give me confidence. That’ s my opinion. Futhermore everything else is very good and functional. And maybe the dig display for date and day is too small for reading.
I won't buy negative displays usually anymore as they're hard to read unless reflecting direct sunlight or bright indoor light, so this analog is ok, but those 2 small circles with digital information inside are both very, very small, AND negative. They're unusable.
Very informative. I just bought the GA2000HC-3A, beautiful watch. It's not all the time a Casio G-Shock comes out with a very nice color combination and especially in matte clear material. I sweat a lot and mostly ruin my watch so the extra protective backplate is the answer, so I bought two!! 🔥🤟✌🙌🤘👌👍😎 BTW. Probably a 22mm NATO or ZULU strap would fit if I get some extra spring bars.
I have 1 GA2000. love all the features and practical use. 1 big negative thing is the negative digital display. Unable to read many times in low light conditions. Also, viewing it at an angle, the digital display is hard to read. Casio should put a positive display with a slightly bigger size for digital readouts.
I love the design of this watch, and it almost has a perfect (for me) module. The only things I'd add would be positive LCD (maybe), auto light (but then you don't need the cool as light button), auto repeat for the countdown timer, snooze alarm, and a programmable hourly chime like the g-7710. Those complaints apply to loads of g-shocks and are pretty minor. Solar would be nice if they kept the alarm loud. Overall, I'm struggling to see how you would get to 10 things you 'hate' about this watch haha!
I have this exact watch and run a nato watch strap! It was a little tight to get the strap between the watch and the spring bars, but it is worth it! Great watch and great video!!!
Like the GA2000. I wish it had screw back like GMWB5000. Also digital window at 3:00 position needs to be circular like the mode circle and seconds indicator, which I now prefer to having a second hand.
You just compared a metal swiss type watch size that has zero padding or protective layer to a G-Shock that has them. Not a fair comparison I would say.
I'm in love with this model since it's first release. I like the all black faceplate with extra 2 straps to choose with and it seems like it is limited model at that time. However, I still can't buy it yet until recently on February 2021 when Casio introduce Skeleton Series featuring this GA2000 SKE-8A. It seems that GA2000 SKE-8A looks more futuristic and sexy maybe because of its transparent bezel and band. The price is also affordable and without further thinking, I purchase that GA2000 skeleton series. Would much appreciate if you can make a video about GA2000 Skeleton Series.Thanks!

Great vid and very informative (especially the circuit board battery part) also some great reasons! I like the changeable strap set up and digital/analog be fit, but lack of solar, multi band or Bluetooth is a negative for me. Hates : priced high. You can get gba800 for lesser price thats offer alot more. 2 batteries means more maintenance costs. Digital display very small. Light not good. Bezel a bit thicker and disproportionate compared to inner dial size
I only but tough solar with multiband 6 or Bluetooth. The means I never have to worry about anything. I requiere clear Day of the week and Date. I am dyslexic and I need constant reminding.

Fake gshocks are easy to spot, no. 1 the quality is way off and poor 2. If u set the time, and if you go back in time, the hands go counter clockwise, in the fakes, it goes full circle and doesnt go counter clockwise 3. If it says japan on the buckle(although debatable) cause 90 of gshock is made in thailand, vietnam or china, except for the MTG and MRG series 4. The strap, fakes either have a soft silicone feel or hard plasticky feel, real gshocks have a soft/hard medium kind feel of strap
Good explanation. Overall you’ll need experience to tell the difference. Try holding onto an original piece more often, inspect all the detailing, then you could tell the difference from a fakes instantly.

You could customize the invoice a but before delivery but the country of origin address will be listed as Japan for sure. The purchase price will be listed on the invoice, your custom could charge you tax based on those accordingly.

I usually will asked them for papers of proof to how they get the 140 values from. Like the equation/percentage/rules/fees. Once they explained the calculations, I’ll ask for conditions of which those rules could be applied and how they be avoided. I managed to save hundreds of bucks from imports tax just by understanding them first.

GLS-5600 does have cloth band. The new DW-5600 does have them as well. No Master of G with cloth band yet though. You'll need to custom swap them on your own for that.
To me, Casio made its name and reputation with digital watches. They have their place as great beater watches. I would never consider buying a Casio with analog hands. Once you move to analog, there are better watches out there with automatic movements like Seiko, Orient and Citizen for a lower price.
But..but you're disregarding Casio G-Shock long life span, time accuracy, low maintenance cost, convenience functions, anti-magnetic, etc. Thats what you're paying extra for right. If you're willing to sacrifice Casio degree of reliability for sleek, metal, and good appearance then sure, other brand wins.. any day. + -
@@gshockhighfashion No I'm not disregarding those things. I have cheaper non-GShock digital Casios that do all those things. Solar power or 10 year batteries, stopwatch, timer, 5 alarms, world time, moon phase, tide, etc. You don't need a G-Shock to get those things. As for long life-span, I have Swiss, Japanese and even American automatic watches that are up to 70 years old and never serviced that I wear. My point is, other than getting a bulkier watch, there is not much more you're getting by moving up from a Casio watch to a G-Shock Casio watch. Even if a regular Casio does bite the dust, so what. $20 gets you a brand spanking new one. For digital, I'll stick with regular Casio but for analog, I'm going elsewhere.
I see, you already got a beater and other watch collection. Then in your case, there's no need to buy these big G-Shock anymore unless just for fun, curiosity or hobby. ..which is what this channel is focussing on. I owned GA-2000WM-1ADR and it's really comfortable, not to big, and the marble colour is unique and feel different for many G-Shock in the market.

GLS-5600 does have cloth band. The new DW-5600 does have them as well. No Master of G with cloth band yet though. You'll need to custom swap them on your own for that.

Casio normally use Panasonic brand battery in their watches though.
how sweat could penetrate those watches? they are 20 bar water resistant.
To me, Casio made its name and reputation with digital watches. They have their place as great beater watches. I would never consider buying a Casio with analog hands. Once you move to analog, there are better watches out there with automatic movements like Seiko, Orient and Citizen for a lower price.
But..but you're disregarding Casio G-Shock long life span, time accuracy, low maintenance cost, convenience functions, anti-magnetic, etc. Thats what you're paying extra for right.
If you're willing to sacrifice Casio degree of reliability for sleek, metal, and good appearance then sure, other brand wins.. any day.

@@gshockhighfashion No I'm not disregarding those things. I have cheaper non-GShock digital Casios that do all those things. Solar power or 10 year batteries, stopwatch, timer, 5 alarms, world time, moon phase, tide, etc. You don't need a G-Shock to get those things. As for long life-span, I have Swiss, Japanese and even American automatic watches that are up to 70 years old and never serviced that I wear. My point is, other than getting a bulkier watch, there is not much more you're getting by moving up from a Casio watch to a G-Shock Casio watch. Even if a regular Casio does bite the dust, so what. $20 gets you a brand spanking new one. For digital, I'll stick with regular Casio but for analog, I'm going elsewhere.
I see, you already got a beater and other watch collection. Then in your case, there's no need to buy these big G-Shock anymore unless just for fun, curiosity or hobby.
..which is what this channel is focussing on. I got another RUclips channel where I review all those entry non-G-Shock Casio watches though. 😆

That is the thickest band on a gshock at this price.
