Ron Bouchard piloted the #47 in 193 starts from 1981-1986. He is most famously remembered for earning his only career win in an upset victory in 1981 at Talladega. Bouchard, Darrell Waltrip, and Terry Labonte came out the trioval 3 wide, and Bouchard beat them by inches to claim the win. ... Bouchard owned several car dealers in and around his hometown of Fitchbu.y in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until his death on December 10, 2015.
Thanks for this video! I think that this kit's dice was loaded. It seems to be intended for US oval R/C racing, which I think had limited appeal in Japan. Problem was that the American R/C oval scene was well and truly dominated by the dependable American brands, particularly Associated, Trinity (I understand that was a subsidiary of Losi specializing in road cars!) and BoLink. So that explains the American body and the reason why the kit was short-lived. I doubt they will re-release such a kit. I don't know if Parma are still around, and the fact that the kit was effectively a hybrid might raise copyright issues etc.
That C11 you showed was in TAM TAM near Machida in Tokyo. It was only 140AUD but with that the ton of hop ups I brought and Candy Green Frog I could not fit it in. I dont know if the C11 was a re re but it looked amazing.
@RCKickschannel my Candy Green Grasshopper was 65AUD and I got TRF shocks for 57 AUD. The B7 Team Associated B7 is 57,600 yen or 576 AUD and I brought a ton of cheap hop ups, wheels and tyres at Tam Tam and Suoer Rajikon.
Nabbed that off Buyee ? I had my sights on that ! Had one as a young lad. Since I stick to collecting 4wd buggies., I tapped out at 350usd., 410cdn... Awesome bit of kit ! Mount the body and it will cover the wheels. Trace your wheel arches from the outside. A soft pencil and a math compass will get you 95% there .
I had one….shelf queen sold it. But the three things that made it special were the 01R, Parma shell, and the Mod .04 gearing. I don’t believe any other Group C car came stock with the parts for M.04.
The car I saw has a yellow body with the stickers in the correct place and has No. 47 on the door but has white down the sides from the window line downwards. Could this have been the one this was based on. Maybe?
Usually I'd do box art but this one is pretty naff. Closest predominantly yellow NASCAR cup car driven by a Japanese driver i can find is Hideo Fukuyama's Camel sponsered 23 car from the 1996 suzuka thunder race. The front is purple though.
I would like to send a photo of the car I think could be the the nascar you have but am haveing difficulty with the process of how to go about it. Might try to do it another way. 😊😊😊😊
Huh.. that's an interesting one. Pretty cool vintage kit!
I was eyeing this relatively cheap kit on Ebay Uk last week, and it disappeared 😊 Happy building and painting 👍🤝
How much did it go for?!
Shake n bake
I piss excellence
That is a cool kit, can't wait to see you build it Rckicks. 😊
My guess why Tamiya used a Parma body is because there was a racing class in the US that used Parma stock car nascar bodies.
Such a nice kit! Stop doing such great videos. I try to reproduce it at home. My wife are exceed, there is Tamiya kits every where.... lol
Okyes

I can’t find any images or info on Ron driving a Ford Thunderbird in 1993-1994
@@RCKickschannelJust Google ''47- The r/NASCAR Historian'' then scroll down till you find the images below the script I sent earlier.
Vintage kits are always special in some way!
I've seen a couple of videos of this car, really stunning looking car, but as you said a real pain if you need spares at all!!!
Can't wait for this one!!! Have you still got the old tamiya f1 williams to build as well???

No, not from Buyee
I had a RC10L with that body. Not sure if it was exactly the same but most likely Parma. I think it was a T-bird/Lumina. Back around 89-90
Could be

Wish we could get some Nascar shells in the UK. Only one I have seen is for the Infraction and only in the US

They probably ditched the cigarette advertising because the kit would have appealed to children and teens.
Looks gorgeous 😊❤️👍
I was thinking, if the body said T-bird, it might just be that ford t-bird (Thunderbird) 😊🤔
F40 please... just saying... great vid as usual!!!😊
I always wanted the Honda NSX on that chassis.
Vary nice.
Strange how the outsides of the video in the car were all out of focus, like it was filmed with insta360 camera or similiar garbage camera.
Was this comment for this video or the Drag car review video?

Tried using your Facebook page but it just flashes up a blank page continously and won't let me use it.😂😂😂
Just post the link to the picture if its online. :)

I'm glad Tamiya never made another NASCAR kit. Uuuggh.....SOOOOO BORING.
