Such an awesome package. Exactly what I’m looking for. I had an M3P and just got a long range RWD with the basic system. Just picked it up Thursday, getting it wrapped now. Will prob order this week. Dopey question, are there other speakers in my car that aren’t unlocked because it’s the basic system? Do you have the kits to unlock them, and is it ok to use with your bass package. Thanks for the content.
Thanks for the comment. As far as your LR with the basic system we don’t have a harness that unlocks the unused speakers (if there are any)… you can check hanshow … but if you have a 2024 make sure it will work for that year. 2024 is much different then previous years.
I purchased this with the upgraded sub (R2) and the upgraded amp (81U). While I should have looked at this sooner, I now see the 81U amp only goes to 600W at 1ohm. The sub included is dual 4ohm coils so it can't be wired down to 1ohm. That means the 600w amp is now 400w (at 2 ohm). Is 400W enough to adequately drive the R2's 750w RMS?
I'm probably going to order this kit soon i just wanted to double make sure this works with the base model 2024 without the rear sub speakers? do i just connect it to those other wires the yellow blue and the yellow stripe and blue stripe like you said in the video?
Would love to see an installation of a base model system, on where to grab the inputs. Is the factory amp in the base model in the back like the performance in this vid ?
@@BreakersStereothank you 🙌🏼. I’ll be ordering as soon as you do a base model system, whether you put a video about it or not (but I hope you do though, I really enjoy watching the vids). I left my phone number with you guys, as soon as you get a definitive answer. 👍🏼
@@BreakersStereoalso, not sure if you watch “Out of Spec Reviews” EV channel, but the just picked up a new long range rwd model 3 with the non-premium system for their fleet. The kid who drives it in their fleet likes music and the stereo is his only gripe with the car. If you did a collaboration with those guys, you wouldn’t be able to keep these things in stock. He’s got a big channel and a reputable name in the EV game. Don’t mean to pry, just seems like a no brainer to me. I’ll link the vid below.
Are the stock rear deck subs left playing as well as the new sub in the trunk, or are the stock subs disconnected when the new sub is hooked up? As I understood the stock subs are in "free air" arrangement, i.e. using the trunk space as the enclosure, and I would assume the trunk is pretty well isolated from the rest of the cabin with the back seats up, to isolate the front and back sound waves from the deck subs. I noticed in the video that the sound test was done with the back seats down. How is the bass response with the new sub with the back seats up?
Yes the back speakers subs are still hooked up. The trunk isn’t sound proofed or sealed to accommodate the free air woofers. It’s not like a Mercedes where it’s tough to get sound into the cabin when there is a woofer in the trunk. Even with the seats up there is a significant amount of bass. Hope that answers all your questions.
I would only hook up the door speakers and rear deck to the 4 micro84U. I would replace the door and rear deck speakers. Run all the other speakers off the stock amp. Would that work?
When I asked Tesla they said " this would void the warranty on any concerns relating to the woofer, and any components that were touched during the installation."
Also very interested in the wiring of the base model 3. Please do a video 🙏

Hi great video. Do you need to hook up the amp remote wire or is it continuously powered? Thanks

We haven’t got a 2024 base model 3 in yet so I’m not sure

What size ANL fuse do you use for the power?
25
Could u use the diamond audio micro81U on a 2022 M3P and add the diamond audio micro84U?
Yeah you could but there are lots of speakers to put on that 4 channel amp….
