In the raid there is a mural which depicts lubrae (Rhulk’s homeworld) it depicts three little blobs of color, each being blue, orange and green. I think this may be a hit towards potential darkness damage types. (Stasis, Orange stuff Rhulk shoots, Poison)
My best guess for the names would be: Stasis, Blight (poison), and for the orange stuff I would call it just Null which would synergize with Solar, Arc, and Void (get it, null and void)

It's possible, but I'll just mention that Rhulk describes Lubrae as having had two suns, one orange and one blue, and the blue sun was destroyed for power.

Imagine a memory's mission where you use the darkness to see through time and get an exotic or the backstory of a certain place.

Now that I played the Witch Queen campaign, was Savathun really the enemy here? Or was she just trying to help.
I mean, from the travelers perspective? Maybe not. But make no mistake, had she succeded, the city would've been left completely defenseless and would probably fall basically immediately. Our allegiance is to the city, not the traveler.
From the light's point of view? She and her hive were the replacement for humanity, just like humanity was the replacement for the eliksni. The traveler decided that Savathun and her throne world was safer that earth and ditched us.
This gives the theory that the only reason the traveler stayed after the collapse was because Rasputing crippled it a lot more plausability.

Would you say that the third darkness subclass is the blight (black light) subclass previewed with the Witherhoard.?
I imagine the Traveler is going to drop Savathun's ghost on us in Lightfall or whenever the Witness shows up to kick our butts, just so he can revive Savathun to tell us "I told you so!"
As far as who's gonna give us poison subclass, my best bet is on Nokris, alive again. Or maybe other Hive who turn friendly, but if Oryx is coming back they're gonna need Hive necromancy to pull that off. So the Hive necromancer who keeps coming back has gotta be involved, right?
Wouldn't it be funny if Sav saying the Taken King will return she's referring to King's Fall coming back into the game. We've seen 4th wall breaks in lore more than a few times. What if she knows it's all a game and knows the what's coming?
For the hive there is still the hive god of war Xivu a wrath. She’s still out there.

I personally think the Witness is a great looking vilian less about the scare factor more about the mystery of the unknown and the intelligence required to be that strong also side note if the darkness has a mastermind controling it does that mean that the travler could be a ship eith its own entity inside or perhaps its l8ke the pyramid ships one of many ships controlled by an entity like the witness just food for thought

@@itookashittoday1146 they already made it clear multiple times ingame that there is no way to bring Cayde as we knew him back.
His brain scan from when he was first made an exo is still in the deep stone crypt, you find it in a mission, but ghost tells you that even if you found a way to do it, you'd have Cayde, the worker from the golden age, not Cayde-6, the guardian. So Cayde as a character is gone for good.

As goofy as I find the look of The Witness, I really want that mirage or afterimage effect to be a part of the raid set for whatever raid we fight him in. Or maybe as an exotic shader.

i highely doubt they would make it a shader but my god would that be awesome as a hunter i hope they make some sort of darkness cloak from the raid

He more than likely would be a campaign boss, not a raid boss. Bungie stated they want to avoid putting the big name villains as raid bosses to prevent more casual players from being locked out of such a key part of the story. It *kind of* gets contradicted with Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, as the Vow of the Disciple raid shot the lore forward a shit ton, but at the same time he wasn't so much as mentioned before the raid began. There was no hype to fight him specifically before the raid actually launched.

I feel like the witness doesn’t need to look scary. Their supposed to be this all knowing god type, so they should look if ethereal and not “right.” In that case I think they did pretty well
I think the best part of this amazing expansion is the lore and story! Finally! For like literally the entirety of this franchise, the main plotlines have always been good at best, but the lore was really where it was at, but now, we're getting that type of storytelling and weird crazy world building in the main plots as well. So good.

The problem was all the good plot were just in books that most of the players don’t read. Now that they are taking the efforts to use more of that lore there are already YEARS of content that could be made🙂

To me it seemed very obvious that they cut "Poison" from the Witch Queen. The mission where you get a "new power" has light wells all over it as if you're meant to be testing out a new set of abilities. Just like the other times you got a new subclass, and the next mission had them too while you fought a seemingly worthless boss. Just me though, maybe I'm wrong about that.

I'm pretty sure this was heavily alluded to about 5 months ago when the light rework was announced.
They still need to do Arc 3.0 and solar 3.0 update before they release another Darkness subclass and I think Statis need more Supers types
My guess, and it's a pretty out there guess, is that we will get the new darkness subclass on the 4th season before lightfall. The first 3 seasons is about fixing the light subclasses then we will get poison in the final one. They probably have most of it finished, just need the extra time to make it not as broken as stasis was in Beyond Light. Just speculation tho.
@@CollectorsTeam I'd be very surprised if they gave a whole new subclass before the expansion. They want to use that as a factor for paying up for Lightfall.
This campaign was a breath of fresh air at first I thought it was just me being happy that we got new content but some missions I'm witch queen were different from last like one mission needs deepsight another you face a giant riven then like fighting savathun her boss fight is a challenge I waited years for a challenging boss fight overall I loved this expansion story was great as well
I looved the fact that Savathun's bossfight was a series of "fuck you, i'm not dying yet". She got the guardian tactics down to a T, from camping behind her guardian hive, to kiting around buildings to break line of sight and dodge projectiles, to aping close to you and panic spamming supers.
The first phase when she spawns the 3 lightbearers at once felt like a straight up lighthouse match in solo legendary.

11/10, if Bungie keeps releasing bangers like this from here on out (which they prolly will especially with that Sony bank coming in) then I really don’t care if they remove some boring, underused older content! I haven’t felt this invigorated with Destiny in a LONG time and i’m loving every minute of it!
The feeling of the new areas and the raid especially is great. The story is great and it’s wonderful to have it front and center.
its been pretty awesome so far. although i am hitting a point of burnout and the same monotonous ways of doing pinnacles is getting old, the content throughout the campaign was absolutely awesome. admittedly, i haven not had a chance to run the raid yet. if im just judging it off of witch queen tho, there is no question its the best expansion theyve done thus far. the legendary campaign alone makes it not a snooze fest, as well as the rewarding gear at the end making my time feel valued. id say ive been semi hardcore about witch queen, havent seriously played in a few days but currently at 1567. while the expansion has been amazing, i feel im gonna fall back into old trends and just play the new content each week (if there is something) and just enjoy it casually.. although i may go after conqueror again since theres some new strikes. sort of out growing gaming but destiny will always be part of me. this expansion brought me back after a 7 month hiatus, and i think ill still be popping in here and there throughout the season. i too feel this is a new beginning for bungie, i expect the last 3 expansions to be great if not better than witch queen with the story actually finally going somewhere. i do hope that savathun returns next year so we can have a continuous storyline, or at least shes involved in some way.
my biggest gripe with destiny in general tho?

bungie i am suffocating when i do play lol it is a 2nd job playing inventory management simulator. ive already deleted a bunch of old weapons i swore i wouldnt, i will literally pay in silver to increase vault space. 1000 a page. for the love of god. please lol
Honestly it’s marvel studios level good. Getting a lot of wholly crap moments and jaw dropping lore as well as some closure on things. 30 thumbs up

Witch Queen is a 10 for me it is a fantastic expansion and I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign!
I cannot wait for to see what is in store for us with Solar & Arc 3.0 which will probably release over the course of the year and maybe we'll see a 5th super ability in next year's expansion!
I just hope at some point Bungie finally gives us a 4th guardian but I won't hold my breath on that one lol 😅

I love the witness’ character design. Them being a gray alien fits so well with them being the most alien and different from everything else we’ve seen so far in Destiny.
Yo that's literally what I thought when I saw it. It's a Grey alien which I agree is cool AF considering it's an arguably real phenomenon of unknown origin. Some people don't like the big eyes but again Grey aliens are always described as having big eyes and they are certainly creepy/unsettling looking...
His appearance definitely works for the mystery surrounding him, and it conveys how dangerous he is too

They've said Destiny is going to continue even after The Final Shape, but they are moving onto other IP's.

I always thought Oryx looked really cool and had a really cool atmosphere despite him being the weakest sibling. It would be nice to have him back. It would be cool too if this all connected to the Nine because there isn’t a lot known about them. There is also SIVA, that could be a new villain in a future DLC.
I don't know if Oryx was the weakest sibling though, Aurash was the eldest of the three original sisters and it was also Oryx that would come up with the plan that would lead to the slaying of the worm god Akka, which required the death of the other two sisters to begin with to grow stronger via the Sword Logic. We've seen in the story probably the actions of his brood (Omnigul, Crota, Nokris if you want to still count him & Hashladun the most) followed by Savathun's hive so far. They're all strong in their own ways, and we should remember it was a guardian fireteam that took him down compared to Savathun. Whether it's something to do with Touch of Malice, Resurrection which Nokris dabbled in, or one of the other sisters invoking his 'nature' he could come back I feel maybe. Xivu Arath and Savathun had both died and Oryx brought them back by an act of war and deception respectively at an earlier time. Either way the hive are my favourite faction and I can't wait to see more of Savathun & Xivu Arath eventually.
A season with Siva is something that would have been cool, but based on the current direction of the story by this point I don't see there being time for it until maybe the whole Light and Dark saga is finished. Nessus would be the place that would have made the most sense for it because of the crashed Exodus Black ship and there were hints that Siva could have been present if I recall.
You make several good points, and now that I think about it did take a fireteam of 6 to kill Oryx and even then it was hard, but with Savathun you just needed 1. Though we still haven’t seen Xivu Arath yet. I like the fallen the best in my opinion. The Hive still has a really cool concept though
@@moth3349 Ty, for an even shorter answer than my original, I just think with his title of 'The Navigator' it really implied he really helped keep the Hive together with a purpose and again he was the first to acquire the power to Take (although physically Xivu I would say is probably still strongest being their God of War afterall, and Savathun the wisest).
I really like all the races but the hive are just my favourite with how much interesting lore they got. Lightfall is I bet when they'll reveal Xivu Arath. We definitely need to see more of all of the other races though, I'm thinking in the smaller seasons we'll see figures like Eramis again, The Fanatic, Calus, definitely Savathun and maybe even Siva again in time.
The hive do have a lot of lore and I’d say the fallen come in second. I always wished to see the fallen shock rifle and hive’s shredder as a primary weapon. I have a feeling the Nine will get involved at some point, though they might stay neutral

@@rinzler9726 when Savathun described the taken king will “rise again” I don’t think she is referring to the witness, oryx is the only “taken king” that can “rise again” because he died, it would be cool 4th wall breaking since kings fall is supposed to come back later this year so even if he does return it won’t be canon to the story at all similar to how the vault finds glass is just chillin there lol

i wasn't so hyped till around 2 weeks before hand, I wasn't going to make the purchase at all, I hated beyond light, I disliked everything from it.
Now, I feel like I'm back in destiny 1 again, it's amazing, the only downside is I wanted more strikes, 2 strikes plus them other thing from a season ? not thanks, the strikes are great from the campaign just wish we had a few more.
I expected a little more from craft, maybe seeing a cosmetic difference per added trait ect but that was something not given.
overall it's a solid 9.5/10 for me.
I definitely can see a Destiny 3 so much more to show. Betrayal is something I'm seeing a possibility to happen. Guardians switching to true darkness and possibly a civil war. More of the Witnesses subordinates showing up. What or who the traveler truly is and can it be trusted because remember it would have ran away from us if it wasn't wounded.
The only reason a destiny 3 will happen is if they want to create something that is too demanding for current gen.
I can see the final shape being guardians forsaking both sides and adopting their own dogma. After all, the only way to win the everlasting game of light versus dark is to not play at all.
To be honest I do not know were we are going after final shape dlc but I don't think we going to be seen Destiny 3 ang time soon because. Bungie is working on new IP

I'm sure The Crow will be the one who will taught us Soulfire / Poison Subclass. He said it in Season of the Hunt, that someday he'll teach us how to use Soulfire. That's why The Crow is one of important NPC in Destiny 2 now.

D3 most likely isn't happening, and I hope it doesn't. We don't need everything taken away again.
In the Warlock raid gauntlets The Witness (or Rhulk) talks about Oryx as if he's still alive. It's a small line and guess you can choose to read it that way, but that's how I read it. Also the power to move planets is an extreme version of Oryx's Taking power, kinda implied in the recent lore.
There has been a lot of speculation about what our third darkness subclass would be.

Anyone else think the traveler looks like some form of ship or craft which would kinda give the idea of there’s some being inside running from the darkness. It would be crazy if he’s the same race as the witness and could be like related to him which would have this brotherly rivalry kinda feel. I’m just hyped for some juicy lore for the feature of the franchise
Yuno savathun did say the witness wears darkness like a cloak he’s not darkness so that’s honestly a big possibility since they were the first 2 beings in the universe
Regarding The Witness not being scary. The scene in the original Men In Black movie during the shooting range bit where Will Smith shot the target of the little girl with the physics books, that is the vibe I get from The Witness.
What I would like to see if we can actually go to theses planets an actually explore the whole planet. They instead make us go into separate parts of the planets each campaign. Like let's explore the whole planets of Saturan not just the rings with the dreadnought. Like bring back events into Mars were you have to kill hive under certain time limits. I just wished they would stop taking out content that we pay for. Like all the new players have yet to kill Xol the worm God from the Warmind DLC.
Not just one, but multiple literally planet sized open worlds is not feasible, especially since file size is already an issue
Aside from the Darkness the only thing I want now is for Shin Malphur to make an appearance at some point, give him a season to finally make an appearance like season of dawn Saint-14.
Some say he’s retired but he’s mentioned time and time again by drifter who he’s also keeping a watchful eye on regarding their history. There’s a lot of things that align with his best interests like how there’s guardians wielding stasis, hive light bearers and the darkness is knocking at our door.
Another thing they could do is say we get the new poison darkness subclass from Dregen yor(who was killed by shin) the original creator of thorn. I think that would be fucking epic and really could make the drifter relevant again maybe w the revamp of gambit lmk y’all’s thoughts

It would be interesting to see how Shin would react meeting Elizabeth, knowing he was right about the dark and light, and how we need to learn to find balance between without corruption, and seeing if he’d actually be willing to learn how to use Stasis. A Hunter with a golden gun in one hand, and a icy Kama in the other? It’d be a deadly combination if it were possible.
I hope that bungie does a poll for which planet to unvault. So I ask to everyone, which of the three planets do you want unvaulted: Io, Titan or Mercury.
Personally I would choose Io because if Bungie is smart they could implement the ruins of the whisper mission as an easter egg or memento while also showing the ruins of the pyramidion.

In regards to the part where you are talking about “The green eyes, and the Hive giving us the “Supposed Second Dark Subclass” which would be that toxic/acidic like bullets, but in Subclass form (I would assume)! But what if we learned it from Eris Morn, since she spent all those years down in the Hive “Lair” if you will! Lol *Side not I just think this is funny, but the idea of the hive having like different “Houses”, so they have to go to the equivalent of the “Gryffindor Tower” and all that! Idk anyways sorry* So back to what I was theorizing lol, what if Eris Morn is the one that teaches us about the new subclass and or she is like the one that gives us the subclass, but we have to use other hive (or that Toxic/Acidic Subclass) users to teach us more!? Idk just a thought I was having! I think it would be cool! I’m not very good with the lore in games, and this is the game I have played the longest and the game that I have kept the most knowledge about, and I still don’t know if it says where we learn it from if it even does say, or hint at it! But yeah, this is my World Of Warcraft! I mean I was born in the early 90’s (I won’t be any less vague than that) but I never had a computer otherwise I probably would have gotten hooked on WoW too, or a litany of other computer games on top of the console games I was already hooked on! Lol If you read this far thank you and please let me know if you know for sure where we are getting my this new power from (Like if it says it somewhere), and or please tell me what you think about my theory and if you agree or what your theory is! I’m really intrigued to know and I appreciate the interaction! I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and trying to not be so anti social and depressed and anxious and just I have a lot of health issues on top of all that! So I’ve been goi to a therapist and she recommends that I try reaching out to people and she said I might be surprised to find out that I’m not alone on this journey in the way I thought I was! I know I’m not alone I’m being depressed, but the side effects of what all the years of severe trauma, severe depression/Severe self hatred, and severe anxiety (I was diagnosed with all those) and then I started having kidney failure when I was 10 and they kept telling me that I had the flu for 2 years and by the time they found out I had renal disease, it had turned to full blown end stage renal failure! And they told me I was going to die within an hour and a half, two hours tops if I didn’t get on dialysis! And I remember distinctly throwing up all over the doctor because I wasn’t prepared to hear that and I was 12 by that point and I just remember throwing up and breaking down crying! And I was at the closest hospital that was specializing in kidney care (with kids in particular, the hospitals name is “OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital” in Portland Oregon! And I have had a battle and rough life ever since! I mean I won’t say I have the worst life, because I have a roof over my head, a family that love me, and I’m as healthy as one can be with kidney failure and mental issues from years and years of trauma and abuse and just, it would literally sound like I was dramatizing what really happened if I said it all! But yeah I guess I needed to vent on top of my two pennies on the Eris Morn theory I was thinking about! Lol Thank you for letting me and thank you for reading this if you have read to here, seriously please leave a comment and let me know someone cares! I know it sounds pathetic, but when you are in a dark place you need to hear those things…Or so I’ve been told!❤️🐧

I feel like the plot of the king coming back would be moshy with the witness center stage. Unless the queen and king become allies then I could see that. Eventually I know for sure that every race will become one and fightback the dark. Maybe not the vex since those machines don't really think for rhemselves.
The vex pretty much just have one goal of controlling pretty much everything that can and they won’t stop until they do it
Vex are basically gallaxy’s mold. Leave a planet to long uncontrolled, next thing you know there’s a freaking Vex structure ate the planets’ core. Freaking mold man!
Witch Queen expansion is great, enjoying weapons crafting, but I would be thrilled if it's taken a bit further. Also, it would be interesting to see the same crafting for armor. Finally, I'm looking forward to the remaining subclasses being buffed.
About the point of destiny 3 not happening because we've wiped out everything I disagree. I'm a pretty big lore nerd and while ur right about us pretty much taking care of the fallen, hive, and cabal you're correct. However we have not even phased the vex. Everything we've done to them and they still don't even see us as worth sending in their actual soldiers. The vex we fight rn are nothing more than construction workers.
Wild theory for the beyond content after the witness is defeated, there's a civil war among guardians the city gets destroyed new factions arise. The Nine come in tell everyone to chill the f out. Turns out the nine are multiveresal gods that control time and space. And our universe gets invaded by other universe with dark guardians. Just my thoughts sounds cool idk.
Thank god it’s Strand and not a poison subclass, the latter would of been uninspired. Especially compared to Strand.
Every thing is awesome for the most part, what needs adjusting is the weapon crafting, it’s just way too grindy, also the orbs of power needs reworking again

Isn't the main villain the winower ( the voice in the dark). I thought the witness was just like the right hand of the winower. Like a sub villian.
What I initially thought of when I saw the Witness for the first time was the cutscene right after Ghaul takes the light and kicks us off the ship: when the camera pans under the water and shows all the faces and hands reaching out and then it shows a bunch of pyramids

I really like the design of The Witness. In a world where 4 armed bug aliens are pretty normal, something like The Witness seems so very alien and out of place which is very fitting. He's very uncanny valley.
It feels like he's mocking the humanoid form, rather than that he is one. The upward flow of souls out of his head clearly indicates that none of his body is real, he's not manifesting a constant stream of new flesh from his skull constantly - so it's an illusion of some kind. It also gives his silhouette the hourglass double-triangle shape, which is a great touch.
I think he’s pretty strange looking and has a fear of the unknown thing going on and I’d also like to mention since he’s known as the formless one he may not look like this when it’s all said and done.
i think the witness looking that way was intentional. they always say that they are not our enemy or our friend so he was made to look like neither. not intimidating, not friendly
It is also interesting how A LOT of the new Stasis weapons have a green-ish tint over the dark blue in addition to not having the stasis effect. I would expect them to become corruption weapons at some point.
The veist foundry has always had green tint over its bullet trails. I doubt this has anything to do with that. Krait, stasis veist weapon has green, and funnelweb, void veist has it too. So does every other veist foundry weapon.
I wouldn’t expect poison weapons as that would take away the uniqueness of thorn, le monarque, and osteo striga

what I want to know is, who was Mara sov speaking too during the Of Queens quest when you do the worm. she gets interrupted by an unknown entity due to how dialogue progressed and its clear it wasnt the witness. also whats happening with Rasputin? when he got yoinked last year we got no explanation on that (we assumed it was the darkness) but was it in fact the traveller using it as a form of communication?

I remember when I thought up the idea of bane a darkness based Gass subclass. Gas grenades poison melee and supers. I didn't actually realise that it was potentially coming.

Well bungie pretty much confirmed more darkness subclasses because at some point I think they said stasis wouldn’t be the only darkness subclass and that they wanted to have three to match up with the light subclasses and we will probably see two more darkness subclasses with lightfall and the final shape
Yea I totally agree with what you said , I am loving the expansion so far, I also like the way they made the artefact fully available now instead of getting up to 100.000 glimmer for resets by the end of each season 😂. I also love the void 3.0 but it’s probably Gona get nurfed a bit, or they might just keep it as is until the next light subclasses 3.0s come around, the artefacts are definitely playing a huge part in the power of our characters and that’s a change that no one seams to talk about .
I still think the armor mod system needs work and I hope Crucible gets some love in the future too.
Destiny 2: SECRET ENEMY & TRAVELER KEY! Poison Subclass, Oryx Return & Final Shape
It seems like what's gonna happen is we are going to have the witness and his lieutenants Erimas xivu and callus leading their darkness fallen hive and cabal and the guardians/vanguard and our lieutenants mithrax savathun and caital leading the light fallen hive and cabal in a battle against eachother.
So I think the traveler is mad at the guardian because we messed up The Travelers chance to be safe inside savathun's Throne world (the final card to play). That's why savathun was purging the darkness from her throne world. Does that mean we're the bad guys in which Queen?
It needs to be redesigned to insure a minimum set of settings can manuvered thru the darkness dealing with invisible walls any sucker traps are do able.
in D1 after King's Fall, Eris's idle dialogue in the tower she says "Oryx still lives." so I think it's more than fair to assume that we see him return in some capacity.
Somehow they managed to make the main enemy of the game initially feel so irrelevant now. The Vex were made so OP and they’re just constantly getting shafted

In my opinion, Oryx coming back is Bungee’s way of having Savathun break the “4th Wall” and tell you the “King’s Fall” raid is coming back. This Raid will not have anything to do with the story
It’s just the ultimate darkness, destiny is just yet another 2D form of media like any religion of old. Just cuz we no longer use books as our 2D mediums doesn’t mean the concepts of the 5th dimension don’t still interact with us. And so what we don’t call them religions now? Still higher dimensional concepts making their way to our reality via 2D media.
We are literally building an alliance to fight against the Witness, We have a Cabal ally, we have a Fallen ally, Asher is now in the Vex network so we have a Vex ally, and witch queen will be our last one
All of these allies will help us when the Vanguard falls and the light is taken away.

3:59 Gotta disagree with you there. Seeing an enemy like that in a Destiny game is honestly super creepy just because it's so different from everything else we've seen. The first time I saw the witness in game I straight up felt uncomfortable looking at him, which is a good thing.

LeMonarque is Void not Corruption(not poison, in pvp when you die to it it says corruption). But the current Corruption weapons, and armor, use green energy and the weapons are in the kinetic slot where Stasis weapons lie whereas LeMonarque is in the energy slot, does purple energy damage and most importantly is labeled as a Void weapon. LeMonarque is more akin to Void detonators from the old middle tree Sentinel(and current aspect) than anything Thorn, Striga or Necrotic Grips do. There's a big difference between Corruption damage Void damage and even things like Solar/burn and Arc/chain damage despite them all having a dot and aoe affect. Corruption behaves more like the traditional light elements than something like Stasis but it's still fundamentally different than LeMonarque's Void damage.
I truly think as we can see as he enters that room. He has endless faces smoking from atop his skull. He mocked us in the Shaowkeep final scene as simply being us.
I think he can perhaps alter his appearance to a variety of choices at will of races he has turned to the Darkness. He acquired Rhulk as a follower, imagine all the other endless races Darkness has captured in its endless existence. We never knew anything of the Lubrae at any point in time, lore wise to my knowledge in Destiny history until ending of the Vow Raid. Rhulk just pops up as a boss and we accept it cause the possibilities are endless when dealing with an entity that has existed for millennia. This game can endure and go beyond the Light & Dark Saga honestly.
Sony & Bungie together can explore The Golden Age, The Collapse, etc. as media if done correctly. Movie, TV Series, etc. It's def exciting the possibilities we have where Destiny goes.
Only thing bad I've found so far is the RNG for red border weapons to unlock blueprints, and the MASSIVE lack of blueprints. Right now around 90% of the blueprints available are weapons I have zero interest in.
Pretty sure the next "Darkness class/ability" will be called Corruption (think of Thorn). There's many hints in the game that refer to Corruption, off top of my head I can't remember them exactly but there's mentions in the kill feed at times when we die to it (Corruption) and it's like green poison/smoke. It'll most likely be green and have some sort of movement penalty like stasis does with freezing/slowing although it will do DoT as well. Wouldn't be surprised if we do get it from the Hive or possibly Eris down the road, possibly in Lightfall. Very curious as to how it will work with the Titan, Warlock, Hunter. But what if there's a 4th Vanguard class?
Looking at the five races, and the prediction that the poison element would come from the Hive, or at least be related to it, what about the Vex?

Vex: ????
Cabal: Opposed to both Light and Darkness

In reference to having to vault stuff because of memory issues I would like to know where you get "the game wouldn't function with those existing" from. I have NEVER understood this to be the case of why they are vaulting stuff. I have always heard (some even from Bungo's own TWABs), that they didn't want the footprint of the game to get so big that it would take up so much space on everyone's hard drives, not that it would cause some sort of memory problem. They have games WAY larger than Destiny 2 currently is that don't have problems like that. I'm probably in the minority here but I would gladly set aside more space to be able to access ALL the content I have bought and paid for...
You said you don't think there is enough content for Bungie to make a Destiny 3??? Here are a few simple observations on things they COULD do... In one of the voice lines from 2 truths and 2 lies, Savathun says: "your destiny lies beyond this universe"... I think thats true, because bungie once said when fans were asking if we'd ever get to visit Torobatl or Riis (a LONG time ago), that we would not be leaving this system, because of this story arc, but that is WAS something they were considering for after the conclusion of this story...
so after this story has played out, that means that we may very well go with Caiatl to help her reclaim the worlds of the Cabal Empire, or go help to save the Eliksni home world! Then there is the option of seeing the Awoken's 'world' inside that pocket dimension... plus there is the Aphelion race that they have talked about in lore a handful of times, that they're already in our system... there are entire planets consumed by darkness with strange darkness-fueled life on it that someone talked about (Osiris? Drifter? I can't remember)... there is the looming threat of Vex super-galactic spacecraft's invading (as the vex are known to consume entire solar systems and harness suns as celestial forges).
And then as for side plots that they can still use between now and the end of The Final Shape, there is: the Krill by the name of Taox is still at large in the universe, the Nine still have unresolved plans, Eramis is most likely going to return, there is Rasputin most likely returning as an exo (I think this is going to be this year, since we're on mars now anyways), Calus's inevitable return, the fate of Sjur Eido, the Cabal Rebellion, the other factions from the Tower that left last season may make a hostile return at some point, Savathun's return, Spider's return, Fikrul (aka the Fanatic) is still alive, the curse on the dreaming city still needs to be broken, etc etc etc. so yeah, there is still a MASSIVE amount of content to work with! and each new season has the possibility of leaving loose threads that can be used later!
People fail to realize that the witness isn’t supposed to look like a big scary dude. Based off what we’ve seen of him and the lore, he’s isn’t trying to be scary. He’s trying to appear relatable and familiar. He’s supposed to appear humanlike but also look otherworldly. It’s the same reason he replicated our appearance in shadowkeep. He isn’t trying to intimidate us, he’s trying to recruit us.

I hate that everyone is projecting their preconceived ideas about what "intimidating" is.
Rhulk doesn't quite look like an intimidating villain either but after knowing his story and watching his foot yeet my friends into oblivion, he's by far the best villain we've ever had and we only get him for a raid.
Vaulting content wasn't about the game functioning, it was about the shear size of the game and the PS4 and Xbox. Before the newest gen, those consoles had 500gb HDDs. The game was going to approach 250gb, which asking someone to clear half their space is irresponsible as a developer. Also irresponsible to ask people to download that much every update or more. Yes, it helped them on the back end too but a big reason was simply the games size was getting too big for the oldest gen consoles on this version of the game.
You’re making a lot of assumptions, and some of this is just incorrect. We don’t know what’s truth and what’s lies of the claims you brought up.
We don’t know if there’s another darkness subclass (i want them (gravity, vapor, etc), but think about how much more complicated that makes things… they might just make stasis have more supers and powers.. and maybe the light subclasses too).
The traveler and the witness might not be the winower and the gardener. They might be descendants of them. Or that whole thing might be a metaphor for how the 2 of them act, but the witness might have been mortal before, just a regular dude that got touched by the traveler and went evil…. Just like Rhulk’s crew.
We didn’t wipe out the vex, That story is wide open. I don’t think there’s gonna be a D3 either, but not because there’s no enemies.

The witness looks like a fragile, beta, who has a glass jaw. Extremely anti-climactic for a final boss, that's supposed to be more powerful than 2 nigh omnipotent forces...
This just sounds like a stupid theory Thorn existed back in D1 and now suddenly because Bungie made a Poison bow back in Forsaken and Necrotic Grips in Beyond Light "oh look Bungie must be making a poison based darkness subclass"
