Thank you. Because I want a bit more sensitivity I have programmed my 5800PIR's as Zone Type 04 Interior follower and Loop 2. During the period that the LED is flashing I am able to get a fault at the keypad. After the LED walk test times out the fault no longer registers at the keypad. If I open the case the the tamper switch will alarm the keypad and instruct to check the motion detector. I have done this with (2) detectors and currently have the zones set too 00 Not used to avoid problems. Any suggestions. I am using a 5881 ENH receiver. After determining that the 5828 RF keypad I have will not work without 2 way communication I am waiting for the arrival of a 5800TM.
Question. I replaced the batt on the 5800 and followed the instructions. However now the motion detector doesn’t work or detect any motion. What is the trick to get it to work?
I followed your instructions, but when I quit the Programming Mode and the 5800PIR detects an object, the panel shows a "CHECK 10" message (10 is the zone where my sensor is installed) and the panel starts beeping (not the alarm, this is disarmed). This PIR was already working and the battery is new. I tried to reprogram the PIR but still getting this message. Any ideas?
Help! I followed these great instructions and was so glad to find them. Before I bought the new sensor I had a "check 16" error code. After following the instructions it worked! I was able to set the alarm. But now the error code came back and I can''t set the alarm unless I bypass. Is there a way to "reset" the pad?
enter code 1, enter code 1 see if that clears the fault. If not what fault are you currently getting? Good Question on the honeywell vista 20p wired security system.
I entered the code then 1 twice and it didn't reset so I went in to reprogram the new areas where devices had been replaced. It does say "ready to arm" now as it had before but last time the fault codes came up again "check 10" & "check 16". It's hard to know exactly what "check" means.
Ok, check 10 and check 16 means that there is an issue with zone 10 and zone 16 it could be a battery or a tamper. Are you looking for low cost no contract alarm monitoring services? We have the lowest rates around.
Hey guys, great video! I have a question, I'm experiencing a problem which is, after following the steps you provided and added the PIR fine, whenever something is detected by it, the keypad starts beeping and not stoping, and the panel is not even armed! I have a wired PIR and works just fine (if something passes in front of it doesn't let you arm for some seconds, and nothing beeps), also added a wireless keypad and works fine too (so transceiver works fine), but I have this problem with the sensor. Any ideas? I'll really appreciate it thanks!
Thanks guys! Anyways, I already figured out, it was the tamper alarm of the PIR because the cover was not in place, it sounds simple but it was difficult to spot it with a LCD panel...
That is a very common issue glad you were able to solve it. By any chance are you looking for low cost no contract alarm monitoring services? Our rates start at $8 per month for phone line and $15 per month for cellular?
Hey Joe, I have a Safewatch Pro Custom control panel on my ADT Pulse. Would the programming be the same sequences?? Also, I know you skipped over it in the video, but how would I give it an actual name (Front Hall Motion), etc? Great vid by the way.....best I've found to program these things. Just have these last couple questions. Thanks J
Good morning, in most cases the programming would be the same as Safewatch panels are Honeywell security systems. We usually recommend switching to our alarm monitoring services as we offer the lowest no contract alarm monitoring rates starting at $8 per month. In that fee you will also get unlimited free remote tech support where we can actually in most cases access your panel remotely or guide you through the programming very easily.
Ross Man If you are getting rf troubles that could mean that the sensor you are using is to far away from the alarm panel or wireless rf keypad. If this is the case you may want to try adding a www.geoarm.com/honeywell-wireless-security-system-repeater-5800rp.html
Any chance of getting those instruction in a typed out manner? Will be much easier to read as I go along installing. Thank you
Thank u for the video. It is really helpful. Do you have a video that shows the replacing of a sensor in an existing zone?

Do you have our alarm monitoring services?
To install the wireless sensor in the video do I need an installers code or just need to enter my user code before I type in 411 etc? Thank you
How many IR sensors can we add to the Vista? I’m stuck at only adding one.

When is the keypad beeping what does the keypad actually say? Do you have any monitoring services with this panel?

I just typed in 4112800 and the panel shows No AC now.
