This one is a M48 Hell Hawk but any pistol crossbow with 80lb limbs that you can attach a reel to the bottom of will work. I used an old rod handle and zip ties to attach my reel
I so want to do this with my son. I know you mentioned zebco 33 and 50 lb braid but what kind of bolts/arrows are you using and what model is the mini crossbow?
This crossbow is called a M48 Hell Hawk but just about any 80lb limb mini crossbow will work. As long as there is someplace to attach the rod. I'm using metal slingshot fishing arrows. Just punch metal slingshot fishing arrow into amazon and it will pop up, they're cheap!
I got a Bat too. I haven't fishied with it yet. I know it would work well but we're rough on'em dropping them in the water, working them over with muddy hands and shooting muddy arrows out of them. I was afraid all the grit might mess up the moving parts on the bat.
@@TheWaterSwatters I've never tried mine in those conditions I did piece together a nicer set up than the one they sell on line but im usually standing on a boat shooting the asian carp when they jump they are blast to reel in its super simple to mod one if your interested
Your boy is a crack shot for sure! I have the same problems when hunting rabbits at night, I can see the rabbit or I can see my sights but I can't see both.

I actually have a ballista bat that I made a quick detach fishing rig for to go after Asian carp I never thought of trying it on frogs

Are you just sighting them with the arrow... did you use the red dot site?
We were using headlamps and the sights on top of the bow. Lol my son was a little better at it than I was!

I leave it loose because I'm always forgetting to push the button on the reel. It absorbs some of the shock of the arrow when that happens
