damien aspin 1:04 Again lost some time in that corner. He missed the apex/ fastest line because he lost a little to much traction and had to adjust his steering.
Stefan...... It was barely a mistake, and now you can carry much more speed in corners and to me it looks like a new racing line. It would of cost a tenth or two at best.
damien aspen He didn't even went flat out through turn 9 like you can do now easily. And 2 tenths are everything but negligible. We will see much faster laps later this year.
Theres definitely more time in that. That wasnt an out-right quali lap. 1-2 noticeable lifts, not getting on the throttle when he couldve. Looking good Ferrari.
let me guess dont like dominance? even tho nearly all teams have had a spell of dominance. Or is it just your team hasnt been winning? Formula one never left, just the fanboys.... now they will come back.... O dear
Nope its just the speed and those aeros making it F1 again, domination now would be seen a huge achievement owing to driver errors and huge strain on cars and engines
Personally think that dominance will carry on, what happens when there are regulation changes? the teams with the most resources and best designers win. Unless a brawn style car comes out of the garage its still gonna be the same line up. Like I said F1 never left.
Ferrari usually don't get it quite right when the regulations change, but so far, it looks to be a whole different story. I really hope what we've seen in testing translates into race wins and even a championship challenge this year.
If Ferrari have built a championship winning car, I really hope Kimi wins the driver's championship and not Vettel. Though if I were a betting man, I'd bet on Vettel.
Everybody is talking about his apex misses. But it semms to that he lifted a little bit, I think it was Turn 10? And I think he wasn't going full speed in the last shikane. But we will see, and don't forget, the softest tyre will be the soft for the Barcelona weekend.
Seems a bit understeer-y, might be due to the massively increased mechanical grip to the rear :/ Odd how even with 2-3 overshot corners, you can still have the 1st place finish.
poseidon I didn't say it was the car's fault. When you look at his hands you can see that he first turned in and than let loose before turning in again. He wouldn't have done that if there was no understeer. However I have to agree with you that the car doesn't seem inherently prown to understeer.
I know, I was kidding about McHonda improving. :) But even if Alonso were to go back to Ferrari I don't think he can be as fast as he once was.The level is very high in this sport that a few years older takes a lot of speed away. Also, not winning for several years doesn't help either. It takes away confidence.
Yea right Alonso would be right back to his prime form if he had a championship winning car. Its hilarious that people these days say guys go over the hill in their 30's. Back in the day they race intos 30's and 40's like it was nothing. The only reason the older stars leave or get pushed out is because of commercial reasons and they get tired of not winning in a bad car. As far as talent goes if you are a world champion you dont lose it just because you go up some years. Look at Kimi he is still got it, Schumacher had it, Nigel, the list goes on and on.
i'm glad Ferrari looks fast.. but i feel like Mercedes has not even come close to true pace in testing. What strategic advantage does it present to Mercedes to go out and show everyone how fast they really are. I hope i'm wrong, but comes Australia in FP2 then Qualy, i think Mercedes is going to turn it up and blow them all away (i really hope i'm wrong, i want a good competitive season this year!!)
Yea that is a Formula 1 Car in the modern time. The Speed is amazing this Yeah. But the Engine sounds can be better like the Ford GT in the WEC who is a V6 Turbo too.
all teams could have gone quicker. Ferrari pushing harder than others though. mercs quickest lap clearly carrying more fuel. as always true pace won't be seen til Melbourne. bring it on!
Finally a comment with sense :) I do like to see the other teams getting better but I have a feeling merc are still ahead by more than they are letting on.
Bring F1 back to Freeview and demand minimal advertising throughout, preferably none at all during the race. I don't know why people in F1 don't understand this, but the reason viewing figures suffer, is because people were forced to buy expensive packages they didn't want, just to see a race every three weeks. It's not good enough. You priced out 50% of diehard fans and then you wonder why viewing figures decreased? Changing the cars, making drivers wear dresses to 'add viewing value' is shortsighted and ignoring the problem. It won't change a damn thing. I'm still not paying for F1 through Sky. Sorry, but you aren't fleecing me and forcing me to enrich Rupert Murdoch just cos the rules change. I don't care how fat the tyres are, nor do I get excited about endless driver interviews. If watching live races cannot be done without Sky, then you still haven't fixed the problem, so it's all immaterial. Think about the fans ffs! The drivers, F1 staff, et al, make enough money as it is. I don't see anybody in the paddock struggling to eat.
Diego Cargnin i think it thanks to Kimi's driving style. He usually pays more attentiom on the corner entries and thats why he goes wide in corner exits 😃. He goes into the corners very early
I noticed this too, and there has been talk around the paddock that they are lacking full downforce on their front wing setup, hence the understeer/ balance issues. Kimi does like to turn in early though, you notice it I think mainly on turn 4 here.
Remember how he was fighting to keep the F14-T on the track? This looks so much better!
The grip on that acceleration @1.08 is incredible. Absolutely floors it.
This lap is almost 9 seconds faster than his qualifiying lap in 2014!
Back in the days when Ferrari still had the great low-speed traction and mechanical grip. 2019 Ferrari are nowhere in this department.
Ikr...
The 2017 Ferrari should have won the title with Vettel...
@@pepefuentesf1 2018 as well
The ICE sound is more pronounced than last year. Dat turbo whine tho 😍
Thanks for uploading alphamaxnova's highlights
Fernando is for sure quiet happy at McLaren Honda!
Just looking at this far into 2018. I never knew Ferrari ran these mirrors, they had other ones later obviously but it just looks weird to me now
That aggressive upshifting when exiting corners tho!
he wasnt even trying, this is far from qualifiying driving
Ye flat out in turns where you wouldn't normally, He was pushing hard....
damien aspin
0:42 missed Apex

That Ferrari looks very stable and well planted, I think theyre in for a good year.
Forza Ferrari!
Grandissimo Kimi! Giro fantastico. Impressionante la frenata alla curva 1!
Theres definitely more time in that. That wasnt an out-right quali lap. 1-2 noticeable lifts, not getting on the throttle when he couldve. Looking good Ferrari.
2017 cars look so stable.... cornering speed looks fast. Can't wait for 25th.
FUCKKKKKK as soon as kimi went into turn 1 and 2 i just gasped, looks sooooooooooooooooooooo much faster man. That think is on fkn rails.
Loving those turbo sounds
Kimi 1,18,63,
Valterri 1,19,31, Fins doing what they do in top the position
Now thats what u call a proper F1 Lap!! #welcomebackf1
let me guess dont like dominance? even tho nearly all teams have had a spell of dominance. Or is it just your team hasnt been winning?

Like I said F1 never left.
With a perfect lap he could probably go half a second faster.
even more, on qualification, the temperature was pretty cold now, and he made some mistakes
Yeah but they wont use super soft tyres in barcelona this year so ...
At the Spanish GP they are not going to use the super soft though
There's about 0.3 to 0.5s max between SS and S according to Pirelli, still they should be in late to mid 1 17s if the experts are right
SuperSofts in Barcelona this year guys, time to set some record breakers!
What a beast.. We are matching performances of the early 00s cars already. I'm so fucking pumped for the season.
Stratos Kat Way past that already lol
Also I love that subtle hiss in the ferrari😍
Ferrari usually don't get it quite right when the regulations change, but so far, it looks to be a whole different story. I really hope what we've seen in testing translates into race wins and even a championship challenge this year.
What an engine at 1:09
BWOAH!
Real F1, no FUCKING halo
Looks good, lets hope the cars are closer and we can have some real racing.
I'd truly shit myself going that speed.
If Ferrari have built a championship winning car, I really hope Kimi wins the driver's championship and not Vettel. Though if I were a betting man, I'd bet on Vettel.
team orders in Monaco
imagine what the sf70 H can do with the ultrasofts and without mistakes, I can't wait for the australian gp!
1:08 that acceleration
I like those fins on the car - almost like back in 2007-2008 :)
se se nota la traccion tan brutal y las fuerzas G que dan estos nuevos nuematicos, las trasadas son muy distintas, este año promete mucho
Everybody is talking about his apex misses. But it semms to that he lifted a little bit, I think it was Turn 10? And I think he wasn't going full speed in the last shikane. But we will see, and don't forget, the softest tyre will be the soft for the Barcelona weekend.
The turbo sounds crazy!!!
Dutchy I think that isn't turbo noise, it should be the ERS system :)
the noiseling sound you hear, is for sure the turbo, wich sounds way more extreem then last year
you can hear it the best when Kimi is upshifting
Dutchy Compare 2015 to this and it doesnt sound like it has a turbo lol. 2016 really suprised me with it's overwhelming turbo sound
tru. i saw some home made vids, from the barcalona 2017 tests, with sounds, and that turbo is crazy. cant wait until spa, au rauge, here i come!!!!
That looked like it was on rails, and a fast driver. Ferrari, all the best :-D
It is just me or there's a strong vibration in the front wing, especially on the longest straight?
Kimi, how does the car sound this year?
Bwoah...
Danny Hudson How is the car this year?
Yes
Seems a bit understeer-y, might be due to the massively increased mechanical grip to the rear :/ Odd how even with 2-3 overshot corners, you can still have the 1st place finish.
If you look at the corners where he didn't overshoot the apex, the car was hooked. It's not understeer in the car. It's just him missing the apex.
poseidon
1:04
that definitely was understeer. Look at his hands. He had to adjust his line because he lost grip on his front tires.
Stefan S He brakes too deep. if there is any inherent understeer in the car, it'll show up in turns 1,2 and 3.
poseidon
I didn't say it was the car's fault. When you look at his hands you can see that he first turned in and than let loose before turning in again. He wouldn't have done that if there was no understeer.
However I have to agree with you that the car doesn't seem inherently prown to understeer.
If I was wondering about how Mercedes and RB compare, I would say to you "no comment"...
So much grip!
😍 What a Lap! 🍹
New sub!!! Great video
Did he lift before T9?
He did lift a tiny bit
very little
Kimi world champ 2017, remember i said this March 17 2017
Not really, i am Raikkönen fan myself, but Vettel is the champion this year.
Juan Pineda no!
lol no
LMAOOOOOOOO
man the grip on that car!
Breaking point at turn 1 is unbelievable...
Fernando Alonso REGRETS
Moralbro what if he goes back?
Shannon, what if he goes back and starts to see the McLaren-Honda improve? Another REGRET :D
Anybody can see that Mclaren wont be fast than Ferrari for at least 3-5 years. The chassis looks horrid let alone Honda.
I know, I was kidding about McHonda improving. :)
But even if Alonso were to go back to Ferrari I don't think he can be as fast as he once was.The level is very high in this sport that a few years older takes a lot of speed away. Also, not winning for several years doesn't help either. It takes away confidence.

And hes missing the apex several times ....
beautiful
seem so much more fun to drive with those big tyres harder but funnier
F1 2017 cars be like... Yeah I'm just gonna go from 200 to 50 in about 100 meters into the hair pin
uploaded on my birthday :D
Does anyone pay attention to the engine sound? It's like a jet ffs , Ferrari for the championship.
Galaxy05 for me it sounds like mercedes
I keep seeing this jet BS, has anybody ever heard a fucking jet>????????
Galaxy05 the sweet music of qualifying engine set up
this is just the turbo
+nixxxon18 yeah but it is more obvious than ani other engine in 2017 . :D
The sound of turbo is this very hight
that engine is not even close to full power...
Wow I totally can't see that thanks Sherlock
The cars are so much faster that the video actualy looks sped up
Finally a totally red ferrari!😍
Ok, but more red than 2016. I hate 2016 ferrari F1
Kimi!!!!!!
you kidding Alonso, but I think almost certainly that Alonso with a car of this type could seriously think the third Drivers' title
Bwoah!!!!
😍

Ultra Soft + Curve mistake avoided 1:07 = 6 or 7 tenths faster.
Streckenrekord:
(Automobil)1:21,670 min.
(Kimi Räikkönen, Ferrari, 2008)ahahaha, omfg that's so sick! cant waaaaiiiiiit, aaaaaaah xD
Yea that is a Formula 1 Car in the modern time. The Speed is amazing this Yeah. But the Engine sounds can be better like the Ford GT in the WEC who is a V6 Turbo too.
well i really think that cars will struggle to beat this team with the soft tire.Should be interesting.
so brave to drive without halo
He wasn't even pushing. I hope finally we can see Mercedes being beaten
Go Kimi!
Bwoah...i mean this lap was shit.
-Kimi Raikkonen
Those mirrors
素晴らしい
That was a terrible lap. He was thinking of ice cream.
is this the 1:18 lap?
Yes, read the description....
When Ferrari deserve the title :(
all teams could have gone quicker. Ferrari pushing harder than others though. mercs quickest lap clearly carrying more fuel. as always true pace won't be seen til Melbourne. bring it on!
I think ferrari have made improvements but the recovery of the engine to top speed is still slow compared to the mercedes
Finally a comment with sense :) I do like to see the other teams getting better but I have a feeling merc are still ahead by more than they are letting on.
Akıyo maşaallah 😜🏎
Ferrari is back baby!
F1 is pretty cool, but I'm into bondage right now.
2017 cars are amazingly quicker at the corners! omg
this result with 2 big mistakes (0:44 & 1:06) and 2 smaler!....ferrari is already winner this year
He carried forward momentum though. Like MSC used to do. Even when Kimi locks up he carries good apex speed.
+Kimi said he could have gone faster still....I bet that the pole lap this year in Barcelona might even be below 1:18
"big mistakes" probably lost a tenth in both of them
Balnazzardi---yep. I believe vettel should be under 1:17 !!! ultra soft + no mistakes+ evo 1 engine even better !
1st apex +0,3 and second too deep... another 0,5 s
This looks like cgi
I can t hear shit!! Have to turn up the volume...ah it s max yet...
Livio Picca see a doctor
bwoah
Mclaren will take the pole this year
Made many errors could have went even faster.
Dont be too happy because Mercedes is still the strongest
Ferrari this year mate
@@jasong8586 LOL ok "mate"
@@jasong8586 maybe THIS year

Looks a bit understeery compared to the Mercedes

In a quali I would rather have a good exit than a good entry. He must really trust his engines.
Diego Cargnin I'm on the same opinion😃 Vettel's driving style might fit better to this car 😃

will have to wait for a full Vettel onboard then :D
Mercedes and Redbull will still kick Ferrari's ass....
damien aspin red bull?are u sure about that
damien aspin Are you sure? Merc and Ferrari kick Red Bull ass. And now is the second year in a row.
God they sound awful :/
