About your tooth, not that you have requested advice, it would be beneficial to have that (likely) cavity examined fully, especially if it irritated or sensitive to cold, sweet, or general stimulus. Allowing a cavity to continue will always result in root infection, the cure of which is root canal, or in cases where the root is fully damaged by a cavity, extraction. Better to spare the suffering and endure a simple dental filling now rather than a root canal later!

It's not as bad as you think. Usually laser procedures and don't even require general anaesthetic. Be happy and stay well
