Definitely recommend Transparent Labs if that's your criteria. Sweetened with Stevia and 0 grams added sugar. The oatmeal chocolate chip and french vanilla flavors have 93% of the calories coming from protein, which is insanely high for a flavored protein. I actually have a discount code you can use at checkout for 10% off (FEASTGOOD).
Both have pretty unique flavor options if you want to expand beyond the traditional vanilla and chocolate. PEScience has a creamy texture, which I really like vs Ghost which is a bit thinner. But you really can't go wrong with either in terms of flavor. Because it's pretty much a tie (in my opinion), I'd make the decision based on other factors. And based on all the other factors (transparency, fat content, protein percentage, mixability, satiety, effective ingredients) I would go with PEScience over Ghost. But they are VERY close.
I've only tried Cake Pop, Snickerdoodle, Cookies N Cream, and Frosted Chocolate Cupcake, and they are all creamy and delicious. Honestly, PE Science has the best-tasting protein I've ever tried. While taste is such a personal thing, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their flavors. The only thing I'll mention is that the calories/macros change depending on the flavor, ranging from 110-125 kcal. So just be mindful of that if that's something that's important to you.
I don't know how to answer this because ALL whey protein powders are highly processed. In other words, you can't get whey protein without extensive processing and PEScience is no different. Whey protein powder is derived from milk. Milk is separated into curds and whey, and the liquid whey is concentrated, purified, and dried into a powder. Depending on the degree of processing, the result is either whey protein concentrate or whey protein isolate, with 80-95% protein by weight in the final product. Most people want the "most processed" whey protein powder possible because it means more protein per serving. As for retaining water, there's about 200mg of sodium, which according to a bit of Googling can cause you to retain about 1lb of water. HOWEVER, this is not unique to PEScience. Most protein powders will have some sodium. AND, most healthy people should consume some sodium per day anyways, around 1500mg of sodium per day (without going over 2400mg). If you're concerned about water retention for some medical reason, you should speak with your doctor.
Appreciate you saying that. I have a "Top 5 Coffee Flavored Protein Powder" coming soon. I'm staying away from the "Best Overall Protein Powder" round-ups for right now because I want to test a few more individual products before coming up with a definitive list.
Yes, PEScience is one of the highest-quality protein powders we've reviewed. You can check out how we tested it and everything we think here: feastgood.com/pescience-protein-review/. In terms of gaining mass specifically, other factors outside of just whey protein supplementation are key, including proper training and being in a caloric surplus. Read this article to figure out how big your caloric surplus should be: feastgood.com/how-big-should-calorie-surplus-be/ Then, once you figure out your ideal calorie target, go to our meal plan category and try one of our free meal plans: feastgood.com/category/meal-plans/
You don’t necessarily want/need casein. There is no real benefit when it comes to absorption or timing and casein is generally a cheaper protein with lower bioavailability so while it adds up to the serving size it may actually lower what your able to process as the MPS is generally stimulate by having the amino acids hit the system rapidly not via a delay
Good point, but some people want a protein powder that isn't just exclusively for post-workout. I haven't read anywhere that casein has lower bioavailability. Do you have a source for that?
@@kiryumiagich.3548 you know why casein was created? It’s 80% of milk by weight. So it’s a byproduct of the manufacturing of whey, it was Originally used for animals. Supplement market saw a marketing opportunity and ran with it since they were able to get it cheaper.
Bro please review...Naturaltein protein powder as well...they are an indian brand and they are doing very excellent and remarkable job in this industry!
look into "protein spiking" in the world of protein powders. they have ways of claiming higher protein content than what you actually are receiving. typical supplement industry bs. in the case of PE science, you are not getting all 25 grams of protein listed. which is a shame @@feast_good

Matteo, this channel going blow up because your breakdowns are on point.
Thanks, really appreciate the support. Happy to answer any questions about the protein.
Chocolate peanut butter cup of this is the best protein I've ever had. Won't be changing anytime soon.
Always nice to hear flavor recs
Agree on the Choco PB cup. I am going to try Chocolate Truffle next.
Let me know how that tastes. Haven't had that one yet. @@muffemod
I ditched the shaker bottles
Vitamix handheld mixer was a game changer for me when mixing protein, preworkout and creatinine powders.
Ya, I just got a vitamix too. I like it
I am considering making my own mix with whey and caseine.
Could do that. I've never done it before. But you can buy the bulk ingredients from Bulk Supplements.
@@feast_good thx I am not saying doing a complete diy mix, just buy whey isolate, and caseine, and mix both
Great video! Thanks!
You're welcome. Let me know if you have any questions
i need zero sugar and no artificial sweeteners. high in protein which one you recommend thanks

Egg whites
where is the expiration date?
I don't know. It should be somewhere on the bottle, though.
Which one taste better, PEScience or Ghost?

ghost uses hella additives. even corn syrup and seed oils. id stay away from daily use when it comes to ghost. its not clean at all.

Are PE Science powders ''highly processed'' and do they make your body retain water? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Wtf bro. What are you talking about hahahah nonsense
Do you know where this product is made? Which lab they use?
I've reached out to them, but no response yet. I'll let you know what I hear if they respond.

the sucralose point is dumb and stevia does effect the flavor
Some people care about the use of artificial sweeteners. It's a very minor point obviously. Still highly recommend PE Science.

I can't review Indian-specific brands because our audience is primarily North American-based.

Great review. I agree, it's too bad they use sucralose and artificial sweetners.
For sure. It's not a deal breaker for me, but for some, this could be the reason not to buy it.
you absorb only 15--20 grams in pe science. not all 25. so its a pass for me unless i want one of the flavors they offer, as they are really good.
Can you elaborate on what you mean?
