I was just aligning some vocals with flex in Logic this evening and found it a bit tedious. Had heard about Vocalign but never considered buying it. You have just changed this !!! Sounds great and you music too !!!
Thank you for turning us onto this plugin. I got it and it really makes the difference between professional and home studio sound. I was never good at aligning my vocals manually. There were some difficulties at first but I followed their instructions and finally got it to work.
I started making music in 2019 hen I got some equipment and was picked this up it’s predecessor Vocal Align 4 in 2021 right before this version came out. I was able to upgrade for free! 😁
Various tricks in vocal alignment have been employed over the decades. This tool takes the hassle out of the decades old task. Remember the # of overdubs Les Paul made w/ his wife's vocals, or even w/the Carpenters? Bet they would have enjoyed this. Now, can it be used in instrumentation? Impressive tool. Thank you for bringing this to light. PS: Hope your wrist is healing well following your surgery. God bless.
I concur. My bandmate [who's more experienced in music production than I am] told me about this plug-in. It's saved me so much time, and having to go back and either re-do vocal takes, or feel like I have to make sacrifices when I'm choosing the best takes. This allows you to have the best takes synced and aligned. Great video recommendation.
The whole point of double tracking is that there will be slight differences in timing and pitch fluctuations between takes. This was demonstrated in your original recordings. After processing that effect was lost thus lessening the whole performance. You might as well have made 2 copies of the first track and played them all together. If the other takes are totally off and it starts to sound like an echo then this plugin might be handy to tighten it up a bit.
I purchased this plug-in after watching your video but unfortunately, I’m stuck with ilok not being able to activate the license code and no body mentioned that this plug-in required extra third party complications. I’m so disappointed 😢
