  • After years of planning, Dublin enters a fresh era, marking a much-anticipated evolution. Its progress stretches far beyond the East Bay, resonating throughout California. Every corner of Dublin's school district has been experiencing growth, with nearly thirteen thousand students propelling to the forefront.

It saddened me to hear the young lady say the color green is a reference to the environment and green hills surrounding Dublin. The truth is that Dublin was so-named due to its many early Irish settlers. I hope the school district doesn't try to rewrite history to suit an agenda. I lived for years in Dublin and while I'm most definitely not Irish, still managed to enjoy the annual St. Patrick's Day parade and other shout outs to Dublin's past.

They mentioned Celtic dragons as inspiration for the mascot.

Dublin sucks compared to Pleasanton or the San Ramon Valley.

I live in Dublin and no it does not suck compared to Pleasanton. I visit San Ramon every other day so that part is true. I live in a nice part in Dublin walking distance to Whole Foods (huge benefit). There's no Whole Foods in Pleasanton because the city sucks compared to Dublin.

@@Adriana-in3yf Hmm I grew up in the area but haven't lived there in a while. Pleasanton used to be a nice outpost, and Dublin was second tier. I guess that's changed.

High paying jobs: tech, healthcare, white-collar jobs, and entrepreneurs .... It's my goal to be there within the next 5-6 years. I've been working hard for the past 3-4 years to make this a reality (I should comfortably be able to make this happen). It's insane though, homes start at around $1.5 million for something decent. But the area is TOP NOTCH for a variety of reasons.
