Shouldn't the title say largest metropolitan regions instead of largest cities in the world? Because for me, a city ends geographically and politically where its borders end, or rather where the administrative borders and administration end. The largest city in the world is actually Chongqing (China) with a total area of 82,403 square kilometers (within the administered city limits and administration under Chongqing) with a population of around 32 million residents.

Lots of incorrect informaton here. Dhaka for instance..a real shit hole, the most DENSELY populated city in the world. Manila is actually the SECOND most densely populated. Shanghai actually is contentious s many say it has about 23 million BUT it sprawls into other near areas , which gives it the pseudo population they say here, but technically it is not so, however China has MANY cities of more than 20 million. I think when theres more than 2 people it gets a bit crowded.

While people enjoy their cities, I will be out in my off roading vehicle (where many people cannot get to) camped out with views of mountains, desert and canyons while cooking smores around the fire. If not that, then hunting, fishing and shooting.

When it comes to humans affecting climate change, the number 1 reason is population growth. It took more than 1000 years for the population to double from 1 AD to 1100 AD when the population was 340M. In the last 70 years, the population MORE THAN TRIPLED to 8B today. Thanks India and China... maybe some family planning should be considered in these countries especially since they are the biggest polluters in the world (Ever see their cities?
