Thank you so much for this Brother!!! In addition to all of the above, I have to get over my fears! Fear of failure. Fear that people won't like my music. Fear of not being successful. Fear that I'm doing all of this for nothing. And more.. The thing is, how will I even know if I don't even go out there and do it. I'm wasting my time and if anything, I'm the one stopping myself from reaching any success and knowing what can, and will happen.
I wish there were videos like this for instrumentalists. Because even though there are 100,000 uploads per day, those aren't all for instrumentalists. And narrow down from there just piano. And narrowed down from there just the genre of neoclassical or ambient. So I really wish I had actual data on 'my' competition and if I should be doing anything different than bands and vocalists, etc. I wish there were videos on RUclips like that.
Epiphany was one of my most frequently listened to albums in high school. I'm happy for you that you went independent and are still making it. May God richly bless you for sharing your insights with the rest of us.
