    It's weird that since Jake is so good at the game it ruins a lot of the tension. I remember Winterhell being super close and tense. Now he just wrecks the game like it's nothing, robbing a lot of the games' attempt to pit survival vs. retaining one's humanity.
    Love your content!

      I at first found jake because I thought one of his titles was interesting before long I could blast through the first scenarios like nothing xD
      Like, at first I almost struggled with the first scenario
      And after I saw jake I had everyone red hot 80% of the run and could build everyone into a house in less than 10 days from when I unlocked them and only cause I could xD
      It felt like I couldn’t loose with some “my humanity is gone but everyone survived” thrown in just to spice things up

    Hey @DDRJake. Thank you so much for teaching how to play this game and inspiring to do challenges too. I assume you won't really return to Frostpunk but I'll drop the idea anyway. Challenge - Inept Leader. Only take Laws which your citizens suggest. I tested it several times on Extreme and basically it is No Laws that kinda treats itself with citizens requesting a Cemetery upon dead or Treatments upon severely ill, for example. I think this challenge is pretty fun and it also has common sense in its core.

    Interesting idea, why don't you try a "Split" run (I can't think of any fancy names)
    Essentially, at all times, you may only have HALF of your total population work at any time, if it reaches an odd number, you have to round it down (49 people results in 24 useable, 61 results in 49, etc)
    And you MUST rescue any survivors you discover (unless your scouts need to escape the storm)

  • @KaizerRemix

    What about a minimal tech run? You can research nothing beyond the first toer (ie no drawing board techs or deeper) except generator and steam hub improvements. That means no drawing boards, only one slow scout no infirmaries, no wall drills...

  • @SillyIdea
    @SillyIdea 4 года назад +6

    I know you can save the generator at least once with a steam core or child, can you do that multiple times? If you can, I've got a challenge run for you. Eternal Overdrive, try not to run out of sacrifices and coal as you're required to max out the generator at all times. I feel like it's possible since the added heat means you can beeline techs for coal and explorers while not caring as much for insulation.
