    Most Lactic acid probiotics increase Histamine load exacerbating histamine intolerance symptoms for those with leaky gut, MCAS, MCAD, methylation impairments, DAO deficiency and as such.
    Most SIBO patients who have leaky gut do NOT respond well to Lactic acid probiotics such as lactobacill & Bifido bacteria.
    The only type of probiotics I had some success with were SBOs - soil based organisms with decoded genome.

      That’s very interesting! I’ve been taking a blend of both - lacto and soil based..haven’t seen any improvements and still having sensitivities. I’m wondering if I should just switch to the soil-based alone? Is that when you noticed a difference?

    I thought this would be about food sensitivities as they say leaky gut leads / causes food sensitivities. But you really haven't discussed it at all. Living on grass fed beef + lamb + organic prunes because I react to other stuff. I tried eating a banana after avoiding them for 1.5 years and ended up with loud ear ringing, peeling skin, joint pain, etc. Do these ever go away? Also react to perfume, air freshener, all sorts of daily products. I tried low fodmap for 4 months and it did nothing. I also react to fumes of other people's cooking, esp to grains. I suspect the autism + EDS is linked to these issues. But I am afraid I really did not find this video helpful. You are only talking about IBS and IBD. What about all the food sensitivities that leaky gut causes? How do you cure that? Do those antibodies ever go away?

    I also want to add the comment that I chose a treatment based on my symptoms. No testing done at that time! I hadn't yet connected with an Integrative doc and i wanted to HEAL. After much research, i chose a protocol for SIBO -dr Rajsree - and jumped in! I am saying this just to agree: you don't need 10 tests to confirm gastro symptoms. Now i have a great functional doc and he looked over all that I used and said he would have done basically the same, AND the fact that my symptoms are down to 10-20% of what they were. Confirmed.

    What are your thoughts on this idea of the acid in our stomach kills the probiotic before it gets to the gut ? ( ie seed probiotic)

    • @DrRuscioDC
      @DrRuscioDC  Год назад +6

      Good question. I've talked about this before within the context of other topics, but not as a stand-alone topic so it's harder to pin down.
      Firstly, how long probiotics last in the GI is a more difficult thing to research, as microbiota tests (typically stool samples) are really only a measure of what makes it to the large intestine, and doesn't account for the small intestine.
      There's also evidence showing that even heat-killed probiotics impart health benefits. So to me, that shows that probiotics needing to be "alive" to be effective isn't necessarily the case. I'll link a video I did about that here for more info: ruclips.net/video/mhrWHnOmiIM/видео.html
      Hope that helps explain a bit. :)

And then just look out for quality controls and avoid added fillers (sugars, dairy, high prebiotic content).
