    After dropping my reel while wading through a muddy river, my reel was running really rough. Now after following this video, everything is running nice and smooth - feels brand new. Appreciate the in-depth instructions, thank you!

      Thanks man! 👊🏽😃 That’s really nice of you to say and awesome to hear! I’m glad they are helpful to you! Haha never really know if people are enjoying them. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 But they are honestly some of my favorite videos to make because I can kind of just relax and just enjoy working on the reels. 🎣😎🤙🏽 Thanks again for the nice comment and thanks for watching 👊🏽☺️

    After prolonged use especially around salt water it's a good idea to pull out the nose bearing and line roller bearing to clean and lube they take a real beating.

      Salt water is the worst. Gotta spay those reels down with a hose after ever trip.

    How often should I do this? (Obviously depends on usage) but what would you recommend for mid usage? Super helpful video btw. Thanks!

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад

      Thanks man 👊🏽😊 Glad you enjoyed it! Definitely depends on usage ya know, and also on how you like your gear to be lol I know guys who never do it at all 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 But normal usage, not dropping it in the sand or noticing it getting super dirty or feeling rough, I’d say once or twice a year. 😊🤙🏽

    So I did this and my reel spins both ways now… what did I do wrong

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +1

      Well I can’t know for sure what’s wrong, haha but that pretty much means your anti reverse isn’t working. There is a link in the video description for the schematic. I would take it all apart again and put it back together following the schematic and making sure every part is in the correct place and not damaged. Pain in the butt I know, but that’s the only way to figure it out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@WhereWeWildthanks it’s weird be cause there is no switch on the reel either lol

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +1

      @@AdrianMtz222 Yeah I know hahaha I actually went over to look at the reel when I first saw your comment lol couldn’t remember if it had the switch 🤔😂 Was hoping that was the easy fix for ya but yeah they’ve kind of stopped making them that way. Something just has to be slightly out of place man. Those little metal pieces inside the black cap maybe if you messed with that little 4th screw, or something not seated or lined up with the gears. You’ll find it. 👊🏽😎

    i did the same thing but my reel feels rough when cranking, like the main gear is touching something

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +1

      I would just take it back apart and make sure everything is in the right place. Main gear is pushed all the way in, the piñon gear is all the way seated and meets the main gear correctly, check the bearings, make sure oscillating gear is seated in the slide, everything man. As well as check the teeth on the piñon and main gear to make sure they aren’t damaged.

      First thing loosen the handle knob a little and see if the binding let's up if it does the the handle shaft that splines into the reel through the main gear might need another thin shim washer or two in order to space the handle away from the side plate we're talking a very close clearance next be sure your washer shims are back on your main gear and on the correct side also any shim washer or washers between the rotor and nose bearing beyond that after the side plate is back on tap on it with a non metallic mallet or even the rubber part of a screw driver handle using light to moderate striking force this will sometimes seat the side plate bearing in place and eliminate binding, also make sure if you have instant anti reverse that it is clean sometimes with prolonged use especially in salt water the anti reverse unit can start to bind taking them off the reel and cleaning them in clear mineral spirits can help just let it dry completely before reinstalling.

    Shimano Ax, FX FC ,catana nexave, Sienna sono tutti meccanicamente identici. Pagate di più solo per il lato estetico. Poi cambiate le boccole con dei cuscinetti e diventano subito top di gamma 🤣

      Lol ya think? 😃😂 Take one of these completely apart, clean every little thing on it, then put it all back together and see how long that takes you bro. 😁 And even worse teaching your wife how to do it while you’re at it! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 That’s what fast forward buttons are for. 😁🤙🏽
