Arthur Morgan, despite being a fictional character in a videogame, was the first character to actually make me cry when he passed on. And I’m a 25 year old male, who’s never once gotten this emotional over a video game character. Damn you rockstar 😭
This game made me miss Arthur enough to start a new game again. That doesn't happen to me a lot. I usually restart a game because of new game plus' if they have them or just to play it differently than last time but with rdr2 it actually made me miss a character. Rockstar really nailed it with this one.
Same bro I restarted the game and I’m stuck in chapter 4 right before the bank robbery but I’m not doing any missions until I feel it’s a good time not trying to loose hosea and Lenny
Hey all I'm on the final chapter. Chapter 6 very close of the ending game. I really love the character of Arthur Morgan. And I would like to re play once again.
Part of me almost cries when I think about the pain that John had to go through And then I realize it’s just a video game but I wonder how the developers could put so much emotion into a video game I’ve never felt this way about another video game
Im honestly surprised that nobody even really cared about seans death. They pretty much only talk about it with dutch saying i dont want to think about that. Arthur is the only one who cares. Seans death hit me like a train, it literally came out of nowhere, i loved him. And obviously lenny too, but you kinda knew with how many times arthur told him he was a good man and would outlive the gang
Sean’s death was the start of everything falling apart. Sean and Lenny’s death were the most annoying deaths because there was no glory Sean just got shot out of nowhere Lenny just got shot once and fell over, didn’t even get to say any last words, neither did Sean I was really starting to warm up to both of them especially Sean Lenny was my favourite character at that point
@@asmriely7967 i agree 100 percent, this game is too well done, literally felt like my long time friend died when it happened. Like jesus lenny and i were getting drunk in a bar so long ago look where we are now
Because Sean was an annoying, shit-talking piece of garbage and a pathetic little bully? Screw him. Now, Lenny is a whole different case entirely and his death shook me truly. He was a great young man.
The camp songs hit me the hardest. There's just something so depressing thinking of a time when the gang was a happy family, completely naive of the tragedy that's about to happen.
Hearing the voices of his old gang just makes me realize how emotionally screwed John and Arthur were as friends and all the things John went through he just misses his family his gang
one of my biggest points i always make in recent the last of us 2 discussions. People seem to really forget how basic the message that last of us 2 is conveying really is and how other games were able to make the same point, in shorter time and much more effectively. Yet people still claim the last of us 2 is the masterpiece of this generation lmao.
The idea that revenge is bad in the last of us 2 is stupid because within the same game there is a revenge story that works out just fine (Abby killing Joel) but Ellie doesn’t kill Ellie for that reason. It works in rdr2 because it’s said that revenge is bad, and when John gets revenge it ends with him dying
@@Chitenho1 they just want to shoot pixels, dominate other people and get y little power kick. In case you didn't notice that's how most shooter games work ^^

Gotta love how this games touches nostalgia. At 4:45 i can feel what marston is feeling and for a game to be able to do that is absolutely incredible. One of the best games i have ever played in my life.
I’m so glad I naturally stumbled upon this in my save. I Respawned at horse shoe and didn’t realize where I was at first. Then I started hearing voices. I looked around and realized John was hearing this in his head. It was so emotional. Thank you rockstar for making the perfect sequel to one of my favorite games
It’d be perfect if they’d actually put a few people on fixing some of the bugs that are still there since launch 4 years ago. But it’s damn near close.
So i restarted the game as soon as i completely finished it, and omg it's really painful playing without the gang. And it always hurts getting to the mission where Sean dies that's when the game gets depressing
Dr Avraham Rozenzweig It’s always worth another Play-through especially just helping people out with Arthur. I guess it just feels better because even in the end you know Arthur means well. I just wanna see what they do with the story. I know everyone is already gone and we know everyone’s faith but, it’d be nice to dig in the past for Arthur. Such a relatable yet amazing character.
This genuinely brought tears to my eyes. I know John keeps pretty much everything about the gang and his encounters with everyone to himself, but to get to hear some of the things he heard as he walked by the members...
You can interact with John and Abigail in camp after the second to last dialouge in the video. John then says something like "Take this guy for example". Arthur then says "Come on Abigail, you know a man can't change". Then Abigail roasts Arthur and goes "Some men can change, Arthur. But others just stay dumb forever"
Strauss was seriously underrated, I understand why he was kicked out but he was tortured to death by Pinkertons but still didn’t talk, he was loyal even after he was kicked out
If you think about it what could he told the Pinkertons? The gang was already gone by the time they took him. He didnt know the wherebout of Dutch,John etc. I doubt he know the money location
@@kingf6766 I think they were still in Beaver Hollow when they captured him.. I mean why else would they interrogate him if the gang had already disbanded
@@Stormertheboy They might asked him about the money location. I doubt Strauss know anything about the money. He got what he deserved. If they caught him during Beaver Hollow he probably got no use for them anyway. They already got Micah as an informant
When I completed the game for the first time I randomly decided to go to all the camp sites without any knowledge of this and I honestly shed* a few tears. This is one of those games that I wish I could relive the way it made me feel during the first playthrough. This game definitely is in my top three, lots of memories.
Whether its ghost voices or what John Marston could be thinking, his memories or the voices of his former gang members. Its really haunting. Its pretty much like that with anyone in real life, revisiting old places you once use to hang out with old former friends or family, knowing they're gone, passed away or living another life elsewhere.
This is the "Red depression" I loved this game, and I have visited a few camps and actually hearing the voices is heartbreaking. I cried everytime, especially with the faint happy singing
Look Arthur, we get more money, we get a boat, and put an ocean between us and the Pinkertons. I say we go to Tahiti and become mango farmers for the rest of our lives, trust me on this one.
These break my heart so much 💔. I remember hearing them after my first playthrough and I teared up because of all the wonderful memories I had in those camps.
He did have a much harder life I think. Poor fella, I'd been mean as hell to if I'd been through all that. John's was heartbreaking for me because he went through hell just to get his family back and it was snatched away from him along with his life. His on and wife both witnesses the horrific death or body I should say....witch then I can only assume damned his son jack as well when he was filled with rage over his father and mother, who I assumed may have suffered hardships from John's passing. Abigail died at a young age as well. John was robbed of wat mattered to him most, his family lived in sadness and hard times afterwards, and his son was damned like him as well.
I think it's less that he "hears" voices, but that the memories are VERY vivid. They're moments before everything completed went awry. Word for word, the feeling and tone, he recalls the celebrations and tragedies because of how important that time in his life was.
The saddest part of the entire game to me is how the gang was so close and happy at the beginning. the further you get in the game, the sadder and more torn apart the gang becomes. They start as a family singing “i’ve got a girl in valentine” laughing and having fun in horseshoe overlook despite all they've been through. To see how hostile some members of the gang became and to watch everyone lose their happiness and trust in one another was so depressing. So to me, the voices are more of a remnant on how happy the gang was at one point and how Dutch really split apart his so called “family”.
It’s sad that John is now alone and in red dead redemption John dies and now jack marston is the only member of Dutch’s gang and still lives with the outlaw life Edit: I’m sorry I’ve started ww3
Cheng Teoh Funny enough, I agree. It’s just sad to think that he has all these fond memories with the people closest to him and now that’s really all he has of them.
It's pretty normal to hear the voices of dead people you love the most, some of which left you to die after years of being like brothers to you. That kind of trauma stays with you forever until you die. Me myself have experienced that. It is definetely not a good feeling. Doesn't let me sleep.
@The Best Moviess My grandparents died 3 years ago. When I see their home, I can feel and hear how my grandfather is speaking to me. I loved my grandparents and wish, that god give them hopefully more time to live but that‘s how life works. We have to look forward but we should not forget the past and our loved ones.
I will take any form of John remembering Arthur. It is really sad because you know that, no matter how John tries or wants, being free criminal is kinda engraved in him at this point. Thanks for providing this as, without those videos, I would probably never seen those :v
0:28 this is really emotional as it shows the "good times" of the gang where everyone stuck together and did not betray each other, just partying and singing together. Some of these voices are from Abigail saying they must get Jack back or that John should treat Abigail and Jack better. John definetly still regrets and is ashamed of not being a better father to Jack and significant other to Abigail.

I usually restart a game because of new game plus' if they have them or just to play it differently than last time but with rdr2 it actually made me miss a character. Rockstar really nailed it with this one.
I felt depressingly lonely without the rest of the gang while playing as John, so I restarted the game as well
TrexAintaChicken bro same
SAME
Same bro I restarted the game and I’m stuck in chapter 4 right before the bank robbery but I’m not doing any missions until I feel it’s a good time not trying to loose hosea and Lenny
Hey all I'm on the final chapter. Chapter 6 very close of the ending game. I really love the character of Arthur Morgan. And I would like to re play once again.
That money in Blackwater is cursed
Artemis Arrow hi
Cursed by strange man with tall hat, maybe.

Tainted water. Tainted money. At least, that’s how the name “Blackwater” always struck me.
yep, sometimes it's just best to let sleeping dogs sleep.
Part of me almost cries when I think about the pain that John had to go through And then I realize it’s just a video game but I wonder how the developers could put so much emotion into a video game I’ve never felt this way about another video game
Didn't expect this to be emotional caught me off guard
What I hear at the end.
Arthur- "What, you see yourself as a shepard now?"
John-"Maybe."
That’s what’s said and it’s dialogue from the mission where Arthur and John go cattle rustling
Can you believe it He never was Ranching and now he ie
Im honestly surprised that nobody even really cared about seans death. They pretty much only talk about it with dutch saying i dont want to think about that. Arthur is the only one who cares. Seans death hit me like a train, it literally came out of nowhere, i loved him. And obviously lenny too, but you kinda knew with how many times arthur told him he was a good man and would outlive the gang
Sean’s death was the start of everything falling apart.
Sean and Lenny’s death were the most annoying deaths because there was no glory
Sean just got shot out of nowhere
Lenny just got shot once and fell over, didn’t even get to say any last words, neither did Sean
I was really starting to warm up to both of them especially Sean
Lenny was my favourite character at that point
@@asmriely7967 i agree 100 percent, this game is too well done, literally felt like my long time friend died when it happened. Like jesus lenny and i were getting drunk in a bar so long ago look where we are now
I personally was so happy. Sean irritated the fuck out of me. Hosea and Lenny were brutal.
@@TRIIGGAVELLI but getting irritated by him was what made me like him, its just like arthur wrote in his journal, hes like an annoying little brother

Mosherkopter We just wanted a good game not a stupid revenge game
The idea that revenge is bad in the last of us 2 is stupid because within the same game there is a revenge story that works out just fine (Abby killing Joel) but Ellie doesn’t kill Ellie for that reason. It works in rdr2 because it’s said that revenge is bad, and when John gets revenge it ends with him dying
And yet people always want revenge in red dead online

It was bad but John's was worse in my opinion
I feel bad for Arthur, lost his wife and son, gets betrayed, and dies in his mid 30’s..

People are dumb.. Theyve done the exact same thing in movies for decades
