Pheonix and Kujata (and Kujata again) is the second shrine battle on Gilgamesh Island. Unfortunately, you have to kill Kujata, then Phoenix, then Kujata again, in order to succeed. Be sure to equip Fire + Elemental onto your armor to help mitigate some of Phoenix's attacks, as most of them are fire based.
To access GIlgamesh Island, you first need to complete all of the Phenomenon Intel quests throughout the world. To access these fights, you'll need to complete all the Divine Intel quests throughout the world in order to level the summons up.

I actually ended up cheesing this fight!
I had Yuffie continuously attack Phoenix when it was about to use Rebirth Flame.
This endlessly reset the charging animation for the ability and I ended up stun-locking it to death!
I feel that.. thats why I'm here.

This fight is actually super easy. Follow these steps...
1.) Put Elemental + Fire in your armor. This will make two of your characters pretty much invincible
2.) Take out Kujata first because Phoenix won't take damage until then
3.) Once Kujata is revived then focus everything on Phoenix
4.) Use Shiva summon. She took out Phoenix on her own

But that 3rd point was great I used it on phoenix using two ATB meter for Shiva drives a big ass glazier on top of the phoenix head and the enemy hits the ground it was beautiful.

Once you defeat Kujata the first time you need to span attacks on Phoenix as fast as you can to continuously stop the rebirth flame animation until is staggered and then Phoenix is done, won't get a chance to revive Kujata.
Funny it happened to me right now when i used a combination of arcane ward and blizzagga with tifa and aerith, synergy abilities and limit levels 2 with Cloud and Tifa.
Got a bit lucky with this I think. 😂 Spammed Phoenix with Cloud's Braver and Tifa's Focused Strike while it was casting rebirth flame, also added Aerith's Blizzara with her in an Arcane Ward and I think because of those attacks the Rebirth Flame kept canceling out, so Kujata never revived. 😊
I summoned my own kujata to battle against this boss kujata, so i was so close to winning the fight, then kujata started his tri disaster at nearly 1 hp, then i was surprised to have won right after, turns out MY kujata summon did the tri disaster and dealed the finishing blow
The fight was really stressful because it looked like i was fighting two kujatas at once lol
Same thing happened with bahamut arisen
You can actually stop Phoenix from reviving Kujata....its all timing but with two fast party members like Cloud, Yuffie, Tifa, and Red if you spam abilities like Triple Slash Focused Thrust, Phoenix can't cast revive and you can end the fight early
You can actually cancel phoenix's revive ult, i used cloud's focuses thrust with plasma discharge active from the beginning of the battle

So really funny, my Kujata didn’t revive? I somehow died during flames of rebirth and my summon shiva did her special move since the character I summoned her on died and it somehow cancelled reviving kujata?
I made it to the end but Kujata did tri blast on me
Why am I unable to select a team with aerith and yuffie....or barret and aerith....or barret and yuffie....only cloud barret tifa....or cloud aerith tifa..... I don't understand
So there's no way to NOT allow Phoenix to revive Kujata?

If you time your summon final attack (kujata or odin) when phoenix triggers its rebirth it auto wipes out kujata
My strategy is beat Phoenix first

I feel so dumb for not realizing Phoenix loses its damage barrier once it revives Kujata once.....

Pheonix just keeps using his ability to heal kjata. Pretty sure you have to kill him first.
You can't deal real damage to Phoenix until the link is broken, which happens when Kujata dies.
Kujata revives? I stopped Phoenix before it could do that on my first try, so I never knew

I don’t remember now, didn’t think it was unusual. Maybe something to do with me being able to stagger it with Limit Breaks and stuff?
In any case, the ultimate never went off and it was just Phoenix for the rest of the fight
It was using its post ultimate move set though
@@SweetJohnnyCageI've seen other videos where people have saved their limit breaks until they kill kujata, and then used all 3 of their limits on pheonix and it automatically staggers it and puts it at like half health, then they're able to kill it either right before the stagger is over, or right after
2 elemental materias on cloud makes him invulnerable during this fight yikes.
I deleted the game after this fight.

You said parrying is your bread n butter because you are a 3s player, but it was harder in this game. Something along those lines.

This one was easier then the first one by a long shot.
I hope whatever idiot made these dual summon fights is not allowed to work on any bosses is the next game. These fights are definition of Artifical Difficultly.
