Great job at explaining the build in terms a regular guy can understand, very rare! I love my pair of Mantra's!!

I managed to demo the Kendo this year and was very suprised how well it skied. It felt light, agile and manoeuvrable. It seemed to really hold an edge well.
I didn’t get a chance to demo the mantra but am now very curious to try them.

Hopefully the snow starts flying sooner than later and you can get out on a pair!!!

@@PeterGlennSports I’m in Australia and the snow isn’t too good at the moment. Warmer weather than normal and less precipitation.
Skiing the Volkl Deacon 76 black and the Line Sakana at the moment.

Great Review! I consider my self an intermediate skier, I am in my mid 40’s and looking to improve my carving skills, I am not at full capacity when it comes to carving, still doing the occasional skid coming down hills. I feel comfortable hitting up some blues and enjoy blacks. I’ll do the occasional trees and powder. I really like these skis and want to improve and work myself into them. Will these skis be a good fit for me? I don’t want a pair that I am going to overpower and then regret later. I am 5’-10” 200lbs. Thanks!

Volkl literally describes the Mantra series as for an "Ambitious , Expert , Professional" so theres definitely no worries about outgrowing the performance. They are a freeride style ski so that seems to match up perfectly with your skiing style! You might check out the 102 version too, little bit wider waist that would give much more float when you get into the pow and trees.

Hi Jonny, thanks the review. Any chance you can let us know how the M6 did in the bumps? I'm looking for a strong all mountain/groomer ski that can still perform decently in an occasional zip line bump run (maybe 5 % of my ski time so not a top priority but still important to me). Just thought I'd ask a former mogul champ in case you get a moment to reply! The other ski I'm considering is the Rossignol Experience 86 Ti. Cheers mate!

Hey Mate! Great to hear you like the bumps. You always have to consider zipper line performance! You can definitely swing these through a natural zipper line but you may get spit out when you poach the local bump team’s man made ruts! Have fun.

@@PeterGlennSports Thanks, Jonny! That helps. Keep ripping it! Still have your Nagano mute grab etched in my memory. Good ol' days.
