I thank the Lord for directing me to your channel. You have been and are very instrumental in my learning how to overcome medical condition procedural errors/side effects that have caused me issues on the range.
Great tips to help improve your hand shaking. Congrat on beating the big C. I have also beat the big C. Your right recovery sometimes in not easy. Thanks again for sharing.
I remember when I was younger and getting my cast taken off after my broken wrist was healed and trying and shoot a basketball... My wrist just gave out and the ball flopped to the ground like a dead fish. I ended up having to do those free weight exercises for a decent bit to get some of that strength back.
I'm sorry to hear you had the "Big C". I know a bit about this sort of thing. I had a major Autoimmune deficiency and enteropathic syndrome including rheumatoid arthritis, and Inflammatory bowel disease hit me, my pancreas became deficient, my stomach and ultimately my colon ( I lost it completely) all were effected, two open-chest, 10 hour operations later, I was left with a 119 lb. body after weighing 190. It took me 6 years to get back to 145. I am just starting to shoot again with an S&W model 41, and getting 2" groups off hand at 50 ft., and I just got started. I literally took it out the first time to a range two days ago for the first time after bore sighting it, for open sites, a laser, and red dot all co-witnessed. My biggest issue is the shake, mine is minor because I had to do so much PT to recover, and some of the exercises are exactly like you mentioned in this and your other video with the weights. My grip is so much better, that my red dot barely shakes, but I still need to improve some. What you are saying is very valuable and correct information. I am an avid guitarist of MANY years, which I believe helped my recovery. I would not normally tell this to everyone, it is intended for the OP, but for those of you watching, listen to this man, he is correct on the subject matter.
My hands began shaking when I turned 60yr. I'm now 66 and will defy that anyone can read my writing. My sig's completely unreadable. I have such a hard time keeping the front site on target. Hard time as in never. I have to time pulling the trigger when I anticipate crossing the bullseye's path which causes untold more troubles. Anticipating, jerking, breaking up etc. Dry firing's no fun at all, the laser bounces U/D, L/R. Ah, the old days (grin). I started with exercising a month ago, we shall see but your video gives me hope.
Thanks for this. I have been lucky enough not to have to deal personally with the big 'C' but have naturally shaky hands. I'll try this to see if it helps.
Thanks for some great ideas. I can imagine what the recovery from your surgery was like. In 1996, at age 50, I had surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm. They cut from just below the diaphragm, straight down with a slight detour around the navel, all the way to the top of the pubic bone. Then they take all your intestines out so they can get to the artery which lies just in front of the spine. They replace about 8" of it with a Dacron tube. Then they stuff the chitterlings back in the hog and stitch you up. I had to sleep on the sofa or in my recliner for over a month because I didn't have the strength to get in or out of our waterbed.
Thanks for this advice. I have essential tremors in the hands and when I try to play the guitar or fire my Glock19, my hands shake. Will these exercises help me? Thanks.

The disease is not evil. The fire is though.
