Finally! Been waiting for the day Andy finally takes on gunpla building. For many years I've been watching you freehand airbrush camo on german tanks and making it look so easy! maybe someday you'll do a custom camo paint on one of these gunpla kits.
I just want to say you are the reason I got into scale armor models, I started watching your videos years ago and eventually started building my own with your tips, keep up the awesome content!!!
Bandai have made some amazing kits. I have their series of 1;15 scale tanks, the Tiger 1, Panzer IV, Stug IV and Hummel. They also made a superb 1/16 scale traction engine and 1914 vintage fire engine
great to see you building again Andy I think building kit no matter what type they where was what made you a house hold name in the past keep them coming we all look forward to them
From the Gundam movie no one liked, comes another Ver Ka no one asked for... But seeing how it builds up, I do want it. Bandai, make a friggin HG Tequila Gundam already!
Funny thing about this andy is that I started model kits with gunpla/gundam and watching you build that 1/350 italian heavy cruiser gave me thr courage to start building ships. So thank for that and I hope you continue to enjoy building gunpla and maybe customize some of them too. Bandai basically spoiled me when it comes to standards for model kits lol
gundam never really interested me as a topic, but man are they fun to build a model of, i've done a few now and other than their cost i'll add more eventually.
I wish you showed spraying the clear coat on the main body. You only showed spraying the gun and shield. Could you next time tell what is the best way of spray them.
Some of the younger members of my local club bring these in. I've always been impressed with the engineering. I just wish they'd apply all that tooling to an old motorcycle or stringy helicopter. Something "real".
Closest thing you can get with something "real" from bandai is probably their star wars line of kits and batman batmobiles as well. I think the reason they dont do real stuff is because of how they want to maintain their brand image since they are primarily a "Toy Company" which is ironic because they started their model kit line with said actual real vehicles.
@istillusezune82 Im actually building the yamato from that line currently. The AA is a pain to put on because there are so many but im impressed by the amount of detail there is on plastic
@@datgood121 The good thing about 1/700 is that there are endless upgrade parts. If the AA is too hard to do, try to get 3D printed ones, they come assembled.
Just a suggestion, but maybe dry brush the light colored panels with a little gun metal? I would personally love to see how you would fully weather a gundam model!
@@rohampasha9667 But those aren't 100% authentic internal parts just in plastic and they're 1/3 scale. I imagine lots of people would love a 1/2 to fill scale FG42, MP44, MP38, MG34 or MG42.
Any chance you'll be resupplying your MiniArt kits anytime soon? Just online and noticed most are sold out and have been for a while. Just wondering. Thanks Andy.
Hello Andy@hhq.boy thats a lot of plastic.i hope u had a lot of fun building.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Hi Andy, not the build video I would normally watch, but beggers can't be choosers, I would like to see you normal build videos back on screen soon, best regards from Australia, Les
I've been saying that myself for some time, he has a number of projects which he's never finished. I'm glad his business is growing and doing well, but all he does lately (this video is a rarity these days) is show 'new product', which is fine but I really wish he'd get back to doing more builds.
@@MuShinnen I've been modelling for 50 years and have won 10 IPMS Judge's Best of Shows. My last three models were scratch built. I see no challenge in a snap together robot. I'm not mad. They just aren't a product that is right for me.
That's the joy of gunpla. You build it, have fun, then display it as is, no hassle, as painting is optional.
I'm old enough to remember when all of your videos were build videos :)
Same here and i miss those days

Actually he has an old video from 2016 (has it really been that long?) where he painted a custom camo on a Gouf Custom
@@DieselxRobot Whoa how did I miss that? Gonna go check it out! Thank you!

Nice! Totally unexpected. Thanks for showcasing gunpla.
My pleasure
I recommend for everyone to try a Gundam, they are FUN!!!!! 🙂
Loved it, great to see ur build videos again. Congrats on the store growth!
Love seeing another build video, and a gunpla kit at that!

Love the drybrushing you did on this one :)

I liked it, and I wanted the Ver KA. It has weapons the original stein does not. Now I have both.

Love bandai gundam kits. They also have a bunch of other anime kits.
the hands ... how ? I just .... wuuuut ?
Even they not only do with hand, RG level for example have skeleton that can moved in runners

Hope this opens the door for Zoids.
love that kit!
Really nice build
Was starting to miss the waltzes🥹
I LOVE bandai kits.
Oh yes! Different type of armor :)
Thank you, Bandai are my weakness! Makes me believe I can build again, until I do a glue kit😢
What is the difference between the Narrative version and the regular Master grade version?
I wish you showed spraying the clear coat on the main body. You only showed spraying the gun and shield. Could you next time tell what is the best way of spray them.
Try building the RX 78 Perfect Grade Unleashed, Andy!
Fun Project

Try Fujimi's Fleet Next series. 1/700 WWII warships but with Gundam style engineering.

I would love a well made full scale scale snap kits in accurate WWII rifles, smgs and machine guns. All parts functional as in the real thing.
Goatguns?

I saw something like that in videos from Japanese model shops so they do exist.
Andy , before you start the gundam diorama , did you ever finish the factory diorama you were working on??
GUNPLA!

It's rare video andy build gunpla since gouf custom
No glue?!
Just a comment for the algorithm.
didnt andy wear glasses..?

Great build Andy. Just to let you know, Gundam purists insist that they’re NOT robots, they are “mobile suits”.
MS is a Gundam-specific term (as opposed to fighter-like Mobile Armor), they are called "mecha" in general.
No interest in this, but other kits Great interest.
so you can build a robot thingie but you won't do an airplane?
Don't see why people are crazy for them. Snap fit kit.
you gotta admire the design and mechanics ... the hands blew me away
It's easy. No mess. Turns out great even for beginners. But yea...
You can glue them if you want, nothing stopping you? Also lots of people paint and customize them.
So you're mad that you have to do less work for a product that still looks good? I'm confused as to the point.

Silly nonsense. Snap fit kits for children. Big sellers, eh? Tells the grown ups a lot. Cue the moaning.
