Great video brings back memories. As a little kid we would leave our boat club called Catawba Island Club on Lake Erie and do a summer vacation.
we would stay at the Detroit Boat Club, Detroit Yacht Club and Grosse Pointe Yacht Club.
Fond memories. Never went to Boblo Island but I remember seeing Boblo spelled out in flowers as we would ride by in our 38-foot wooden Chris-Craft Constellation. I remember when I was 8-9 years old I was never allowed to touch the throttles on the boat, however my dad would let me drive on the river and one day we were going past a freighter that was making huge wake my dad was down below and I made an executive decision to slow the boat down and touch the throttles, my father ran up and I thought I was going to get yelled at and actually he told me I did the right thing.
And then who would know as an adult in my late forties I would move to Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan and be a member of Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and the "little club" which is a secret.

The Great Lakes offer great boating opportunities for all types of boats and a variety of purposes. That said, this is a fine and enjoyable trip down memory lane for those who know the area, but a bit light on details for those unfamiliar with the area.

I’ll have to work on it, I’m still learning myself, I appreciate your helpful comments.
