I am so happy to see that people watch the bill. I only found it about 5 years ago. After I found prime video I had my own personal British invasion with acorn and brittbox and fell in love with so many British shows and movies especially crime drama at the top of my list. I always heard mention of the bill being this great cop show and one of the channels had it but only had two seasons so that really kind of turned me off because who wants to watch only two seasons of a show that has so many episodes? Well one day I was desperate for something to watch and I gave it a try ended up watching the two last seasons of the Bill 25 and 26. Well naturally I had to find the first 24 season somewhere. I managed to find them all between RUclips and Dailymotion and got through all 24 seasons. I was not about to watch 25 and 26 again maybe someday. Well I'm watching from the beginning again not binging like the first time. I started last March and now almost a year later I am on season 9. I'm going to stop reading the comments here because I haven't watched the episode yet and being that I've already watched it one time around it could jog my memory and be a spoiler alert. I just wanted to comment since it hasn't been so long that somebody did so I know there are people out there like me still interested. The bill rocks no doubt about it thank you thank you Jana💜
I know right. Heterochromia. I noticed that a few years back I looked all over for mention of it but couldn't find any at least not over here in the US anyway.
How it monroe fault tgey were both arguing blaming each and right after there son just dief he was right disgusting behaviour should becoming together in a time like that
Looked up the chruch and was actually burnt down due an electrical fire during rennovation (around 1993) . so the scene was an actual fire , which was used as a set.
There was an episode in season 8 where Conway chatted to a young black man to drop a complaint against his treatment by junior officers in the police command. Everyone said they hated Conway after that because at the end of the episode he called the black man a loser. Thing is, I really thought about how he said it and how he was acting in the episode. In some ways, I thought Conway was talking about himself more in that comment, than the young black man. I quote, "The guy is a loser... Trust me, I should know." Brilliant writing.
Bad blood indeed. Sun Hill officers hated Cato (then Twist) for ending Sgt Penny's career, and Cato hated Sun Hill for embarrassing him by ending Sgt Coles'. Nice bit of swerving by Burnside. Meadows was sent to Sun Hill as punishment for not realising his own DS was corrupt, a fact exposed by Burnside and Reid.
@@JoeStudd96 They totally weren't. When Cato was introduced, they maintained Twist's backstory and just changed the character's name. The show did that with several guest or recurring characters who became regulars.
Oh one more thing before I forget I wanted to add has anyone ever noticed before how much of a close talker Brownlow is? I swear I'm not kidding every scene he is in he is always like up in the person's face talking it's really kind of funny I don't know if maybe he's directed to do that for added effect or what but he really is a close talker😂
Happy 2024 to one and all from an expat in Australia 🇦🇺 And the respect for the police has declined by the year. And a lost London, UK 🇬🇧 and the west.

I remember watching as a young lad I'm now 43 and when that theme tune plays at the beginning I'm well away 😁
Good acting by Colin Tarrant as Munro, as always.
Ch. Insp. Conway has one brown eye and one blue eye. How sweet. I have never noticed that before.
It was one of the first things that I noticed about him, I thought he looked a bit like my GF’s Husky 😀
Think David Bowie had the same!
Heterochromia

Never seen Monroe lose it like he does with the parents 😲
Might have been easier for Conway, the fuse was blown.
Would be mighty interestng to see how Cato would have handled it.
Monroe has lost it couple times bang out of order though
Tbh prefered Gold and Smith as inspectors
How it monroe fault tgey were both arguing blaming each and right after there son just dief he was right disgusting behaviour should becoming together in a time like that
Monroe was a father of three daughters, and he is rightly disgusted at two parents trying to blame each other when their son has only just died
Faithful old retainer... brownlow says to Conway... makes him sound like a Labrador!!
"a man with experience, a man who knows the ropes...a man like me." Good old Derick.
Great acting in this episode!

Brownlow is the best double talker I have ever seen
That's how he got to chief super. Politician to the core.
Don't like him !

Conway trying his hand at a bit of blackmail. Sly old🦊
Unbelievable 😂😂
I'm glad Meadows remembered to comb his hair when he got back to the station.
Ha yeah Jack with hair through the 90's till after 2000 he started going bald

Twist and Cato were two separate characters.

@@NewhamMatt Fair enough.
@@NewhamMatt ... and there is the twist in the storyline...! 😁😜🥴🙄🙃

Great episode: how management manages to put the worst possible person for the job.
Cato looked more like a sea captain on an old ocean liner with his facial hair.
Captain Birds Eye on a crash diet

Your nicked sunshine!!
@2:41 - Eh ? He used to play PC Shaw - How did he get to be Brownlow's boss ??
Two different actors. Mike Burnside would have been playing DAC Hicks from about the same time Shaw was a PC.
Thats Hicks...he doesnt even look like PC Shaw
This episode is full of platitudes and empty phrases. You can tell it’s one about senior officers.
Brownlow is typical of a lot of modern day overendowed managers/directors . conway "even you might be surprised "....well said!
👍
