We made a 2D physics based game with ragdolls, where your objective is using your lives to beat the levels. It was a challenge because we are beginners at making games, and coding. We made assets (and borrowed some) and by the end of the 48 hour challenge we became good game developers.

The stickman dying makes sense because the same black stickman is also seen on posters and warnings where he dies. (Unless thats what was already intended)

How did you make such a good game in two days?! It took me like 3 hours to finish a 1 hour Brakney’s godot tutorial. Secondly how are you so underrated? This should have WAY more views.

I will either think I am also able to do this in the same time frame or disappointed when it doesn't look like this. I like the graphics and what you did with the models/characters.

just go small scope. the reason the art looks how it does is because its low effort and easy to make, perfect for a first game.
@@CoalGame that's the only thing I can do if I actually want to finish or even start games, since it seems anything not easily obtainable just doesn't happen and I don't try. Doesn't help that I have so many things I want to do (like actually compose the music for instance, at least for this instance), but decision fatigue kicks in and habits fallback.

How is this your first game! How long did you study to get there?
We had python experience beforehand which helped, + a bunch of tutorials were used while making the game

I really enjoyed this game and it's charm, def seems like something i'd find on steam for free. I did have some problems with trying to land in the water when there was a dead body or limbs in the way, but right clicking fixed that in a minute. But regardless I enjoyed it a lot :)

If anyone is just starting out and is disheartened - this video is evidently for entertainment purposes only. And with that said, I found it entertaining, I love poo poo jokes and maymays like any other red blooded American, but for those that are disheartened, please read this comment.
I've been a software and game developer for decades, working in AAA and indie,... this is very evidently not to be their first game, and the claim they have zero experience is absurd.
Making a game in 48 hours takes a tremendous amount of effort, coordination, creativity and skill... and those take years to hone into something you can actually use to put out a functional gamejam game in 48 hours... that's not to say that you shouldn't try - but just know that there is no harm in failing when you're first starting out, as that's where most people start out at (but it gets better over time, with practice and continual learning).
Also, the game concept itself is lifted from SeppuKuties (flash game from 2008)... so, not only did they very evidently lie about this being their first game with zero skill, but also, they stole the core game mechanics and concept and made a worse version of it.
So if you feel disheartened and you're new, just know that: 1) at least you're not a liar like these guys (like: claiming to have no experience when evidently you do - which calls into question if they actually made it in 48 hours as well - no evidence to support their claim within in the video which is the length of my interest researching these dubious claims) - 2) you didn't steal an existing game and make it notably worse, all in hopes of profiting from youtube ads by lying and at the cost of disheartening future game developers... which is disgusting.
Keep practicing, and you can eventually successfully make gamejam games within 48 hours. Don't allow their lies make you feel like any less of a developer or dissuade you in any way or make you feel like you are in any way behind where you should be, because they after all, they are nothing more than a bunch of lies.

That said, outside of the glaring lies (which again, are needless and destructive), I enjoyed watching the video and hopefully you did too - its edited well and is entertaining. For me, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
