I've actually never heard of the Jibun Techo before, but now I think I have a new product on my no-buy list 🤣🤣
It's a slippery slope, be careful LOL 😂
It's the ONLY one in my hand bag. I divide the daily TO DOs into two parts. The top part is my to-do and the bottom all the events scheduled. The right times part I use for food logging. All my meals on the times I actually eat.... the weather up top and mood at the bottom. LOVE IT!!!!!
Omg the MEALS! That is such a good idea! Thank you for sharing!!
I’ve used the Jibun Techo for the last 3 years. It’s by far my favorite and I use the First Kit every year. It’s the planner world’s most underrated planner. My fave. ❤️
That’s amazing! Thanks for sharing ☺️🙏
Couldn't agree more, this planner deserves way more attention! Found planner peace with it after years of planner shopping 😅 now it's my fourth year in the weekly A5 jibun techo, won't change it for sure! I started with the First Kit and now i just buy the new planner every year..I loved the TN weekly insert, regular size, but it was too narrow for my needs, while this is just perfect, a bit larger than the TN and same height.
I am SO glad to hear you’ve found planner peace, If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!! 😉 I also found the TN to be too narrow 🥰
Thank you! I love this planner! I’ve been using it for a few years now. The paper is superb! I love the monthlies with the trackers at the bottom too.
I’m so happy you enjoyed this video! I totally agree 🤭🤭 Jibun Techo >>>
I also bought this planner on a whim at the end of last year after wanting to love the Hobonichi Techo (in two sizes!), and other miscellaneous planners. I am also using the Hobo Weeks (it comes everywhere with me), but this Jibun Techo is the only planner that has ever “stuck” for longer than a couple of months. I draw my days, I journal, I future plan, I track habits on the monthly - it may be *whisper* planner peace????
I’m finding the exact same - this planner is the only one that is sticking! I also find I’m not as worried to mess it up 🤔
In an attempt to narrow my EDC to just a single book, I carry only my Jibun Days, using a one-page Personal Rings weekly insert from Cloth and Paper as a bookmark. It has a brief overview of my scheduled things for the week (work days, birthdays, appointments, etc) as well as the weekly to do list of anything I haven’t put on a particular day yet. I still use my Jibun Techo weekly diary for planning and tracking, but it stays at home.
The one page insert is such a great idea! Like a “dashboard” 🤩 I have never used the weekly diary - I’m not really a vertical weekly enjoyer - but I’m so tempted!
I love this idea!
I’ve been using the Jibun Techo B6 Slim in both the days and the weekly diary for a month. I’m so glad I decided to try them! I love them. I didn’t realize how much I needed the structure to help me plan.
I’m the same way! Which version do you prefer? 😇💖
@@lillabjornco It’s funny, buying the Days was an afterthought, I really only intended to get the weekly diary and in the last minute I added the Days. Now I find myself using the Days intensely and the weeks more like a catch all. I’m really loving the hourly strip down the middle of the Days, and all the little features. I’m definitely Team Days now!
Funny how things work like that sometimes 😂
I used DAYs for 2022. B6 slim. love that size. This year I'm using an A5 slim weekly version. You are so right!! The paper is fabulous. Jibun Techo has so many features that are included. Less layouts to make myself.
I love the B6 size! The paper is a dream! So glad you agree 😄
I realize this is such a chatty video - WHOOPS!
Chatty is good!
Actually enjoyed it! :)
Haha I'm glad!! @@DasOrangensaft.
I love love the Jibun Techo as well, thank you for highlighting it :)
Ahh I’m so glad! My pleasure 😇
Really great. The orange one is perfect to study japanese
I love the orange colour 😍
I thought everyone knew about this, this was a really popular hobonichi alternative many years ago
I was team Hobonichi a couple years ago, maybe that's why I missed it haha!
I don't know why more ppl don't talk about this planner either. I had one last year. Loved it, couldn't be happier. However, I've made this dumb rule with myself that I *should* try a different planner each year... I bought something similar to the Jibun Techo DAYS, same layout and everything... I lasted a month lol. I couldn't stand it. I despised using it, I didn't even want to look at it xD. It just wasn't the same. Gave up, went to Barnes and Noble and gladly, since it was already a month into the new year, they had the DAYS in stock for half off! Been using it ever since. I think I might have finally found planner peace. I do still want to try other planners but I think the DAYS is going to be a permanent necessity now.
I get the same way too! I’ll have a system that really works, but it’s the “what if” that get me to over buy haha! I’m just glad I took the chance this year. Also, HALF OFF?!? That is incredible 🤩🤩
I've used this planner a couple years and I absolutely loved it. I only quit to go to a week's style planner because it fit in my purse better.
That makes total sense! The weeks is super portable 😊
This planner colour cover is so beautiful 🧡
I think so too! I’ve been loving orange lately 😍🍊
The Jibun Techo is (IMHO) far superior to the Hobonichi! I have the standard diary and was amazed by how comprehensive it is. I haven't tried the Days yet, but might next year. I've wandered in and out of it but always come back to it. So happy you are happy with it!
I 100% agree! I’m finding the Jibun Techo to be much more functional than the Hobonichi 🫢 It’s a shame more people don’t give it a go!
@@lillabjorncoI think they will when they’re looking for paper other than the new Sanzen.
You’re so right - that’s how I found it haha!
the paper, though.
@@ellevvi does that mean you like it or don’t like it?
I adore my Jibun Techo A5!!! It’s been my main planner for the past 3 years. I also use a hobo weeks for summer when I have less to do. I’m a college professor so summer is not as busy.
Wow that’s so cool, thanks for sharing! I love hearing that other people love the Jibun Techo 💖😊
I just started using the same one but weeks starter. I use the idea book but not the life. It works very well. Im glad you like it too.
Awesome, I love it! 😇
I had that briefly before switching to Hobonichi. Kokuyo gives you a lot for the cost, thin paper/mio paper is nice. I just despise the orange/green/blue/orange coloring & the layout!
One of the reasons why I went for the Days and not the weekly style was because of the colour! All of the pages are black, except for Saturdays and Sundays 😄
currently using one this year, it's my first ever paper planner 😄 I was surprised at the lack of content about this too! So far I use it for journaling and reflection, with a daily doodle on the month pages. What I've learned is that i'm a person that really needs weekly pages for actual planning purposes, so its a shame the DAYS doesn't have these. I've got the A6 hobo weekly supplemental booklet and kind of inserted it in the cover? It works, but I think i'll probably switch to something with actual weekly pages for next year. I do love the trackers on the month page tho...
I think if the Days came with weekly pages too, it would give Hobonichi a run for its money!! Someone else mentioned the Kokuyo PAL, which is a weekly planner. I am definitely going to look into it for 2025 😁
I use the Jibun Techo weekly planner for work. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
You are so welcome!
Love this planner and adore the b6 slim size, between that and the A6 they are my go to planners ❤❤❤
I totally agree! I tend to prefer slightly smaller planners 🥰
I’m on my 6th year of using the Jibun Techo in the BIZ version. I love the size, the simplicity and the paper.
I'm right there with you! The paper is a dream 😍
I actually think kokuyo planers are so underrated! I personally don't have a jibun techo, but I got a kokuyo PAL planner, and it's amazing!
I looked into the PAL as well! Definitely on my 2025 wish list 🤭
Love the Kokuyo paper! I'm hoping Kokuyo still makes the PAL planner next year as that's what I want to try. I will also be getting the days system to go along with that.
I want to grab the PAL too!! We are planner system twins 🤝🤭
I am actually thinking about switching from a two planner system (one for work and one for personal planning) to this one. I think this layout will work perfectly for me.
It has served me well! Let me know if you have any questions 😇
@@lillabjornco thank you! 🤍
Np!
I started using the starter kit in January. I think it may be perfect for my needs!
That’s awesome! So happy for you 😁
Wowza..; you outlined the month and it really pops.
Thank you!! I agree 😉
This is indeed a great planner! Like it very much but I just gave up on dated planners at the moment. Glad you are enjoying it so much 😊
I completely understand the desire for an undated planner! I was using the Hobonichi Day Free for a while, but I found myself missing the structure of a dated planner 😇
@@lillabjornco I can understand it either! Not having to prepare anything is also great 😌
So true 😊💖
Hmm, i thought it always comes up when you search hobonichi hahaah when i was searching last year, this planner always comes up.
I think its still preference, i love the cover and all, but the inside look of the jibun just don't speak with me... it kinda looks very formal for me 😊
Really?!? Dang, maybe I need to start searching “hobonichi” instead 🤣🤣 I felt the same way about the Jibun Techo at first (they layout looked so messy), but I took a chance and now I love it!
@@lillabjornco hahaahha maybe the jubun algorithm just works its way to me last year hahahaha but i'm pretty sure jibun techo is in yoseka's top list of planners hahaha
Wow! Well I’m glad hehe, they deserve all the hype 🤭
Couldn't agree more! It's my favorite too.
Yayy! So glad to hear 🤩
I'm in the Days this year as well. I do miss a timed weekly section more than I thought I would. But I love this planner and don't know why it's note more popular.
I know what you mean 🥲 I’m not much of a vertical weekly enjoyer, but I think having the weekly as well would be the cherry on top 🤩
Thanks for the practical review with so many questions answered! I’ve been eyeing Jibun for a while. There is a cute irony to the rhetorical question of why isn’t this planner used by more people………….all of the hashtags are for Hobonichis 😂❤
Oh my gosh you’re so right! I reused the details from another video so the hashtags were kept too… nooooo 🥲🫠 I’ll be doing more vids though, so not to worry haha! 🤣💖
It's great to know that you have found THE ONE! 🎉
Thank you! 😊 Let’s hope it sticks haha!
This is my current planner and I love it.
I'm so glad! It really is a great planner hehe 😋
Never seen this before! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Use the Jibun since 3 years now and love it!!!
Yayy!! I’m so glad to hear 😇
This is also my daily use planner and I agree, it doesn't get the attention it deserves!
Right?! 😩
This planner came with some other books at Barnes and Noble. I kept hoping it would go on sale as I had not used it before and thought I’d get it if the Universe helped out! It did! Very cool system. Still need to do some work on it!
Yes! The First Kit comes with a couple extra books 😊
When did you catch it on sale?
This is the 1st year since 2018 that I haven’t used a Jibun Techo. After watching your video I feel the need to buy one if they are still available!
Wow, it was meant to be 😉 I think they are still available in some places - someone mentioned they found theirs for 50% off at Barnes and Noble! 🥳
Jetpens. They're marked down a bit from regular price.
Great suggestion! That is where I got mine 😇
I love those planners so awesome. What really sucks is I wanted to get a jibun April start apparently they are not making those anymore. Also I was told by jetpens they will not be selling them anymore.
Oh no! That is too bad. I was really hoping to purchase the soft cover, but they don’t make them anymore either 😪
A doodle a day in the monthly would be fun!
Omg I’m SO doing this! Thanks for the idea 😇💖
I have 2, so I absolutely agree
Love it!
I got mine at Barnes and Noble on clearance for $5.
$5?!? I am forever jelly
When did you get it from there?!
Hobonichi and ring binders are extremely popular right now, so in comparison not as popular but I’ve definitely seen many videos on jibun techo maybe a few years back though. The standard weekly version was pretty well loved and i watched a ton of those videos, but there are a lot of versions, ex: the days version i’ve only seen a couple. It was one of the planners i did consider but ultimately it was too expensive to me.
I have also noticed a HUGE increase in ring binder popularity! Being a lefty, rings have never been my friend, but everyone makes them look so appealing 👀 I have searched for Jibun Techo vids and you’re right, most of the videos I’ve seen about them are years old! I completely understand, they are quite expensive. A couple people have been saying that they are currently on sale at Barnes and Noble for 50% off, if you’re still interested 😇
@@lillabjornco wow i’d never thought i’d see the day that a japanese planner would be sold at barnes & nobles. it’s sold out on the website but maybe next time i hang out at the mall, i’ll be on the lookout :)) thanks!!
i still don’t know how i feel about ring binders, they really didn’t used to be my thing, but i have a personal size that i was gifted sitting in my desk drawer for like 2 years, so i’ve been trying it out. still not sure though hahah
Yeah check it out! Let me know how the rings work out for you 😊
the Jibun Techo is my favorite system
Mine too! Do you have the A5 or B6 size?
@@lillabjornco the A5 is my preferred size
@@AllTheArtsy Thank you!
Thank you
Glad you found this helpful! 💖
i think, you like the template more than the book.
I mean, a big part of the book is the template LOL! I also much prefer the paper, the size, and the cover customization 😄
Great Planner! Can ask what pens you are using here?
Of course! The pen you see in the pen loop is a UniJetream ballpoint 0.7 insert in a UniBall ONE body 😇 The pen that I am pointing with is a Pilot Frixion Ball 3 Slim 0.38 💖
I love the Jibun, if only they would combine the monthly, weekly, and daily into one book!
I agree! That would be ideal 😍 Plus, I wish they included the elastic band with each styleee!
@@lillabjornco yes! Closure necessary unless you keep it in a cover that has one! 😊
I have been on a wild goose chase looking for the Jibun Techo B6 Soft Cover but alas, they discontinued it 😪
@@lillabjornco B6 Slim?
Yes! I cannot find it anywhere! I’ve also checked Etsy for something similar, but nothing quite like the soft cover 😪
I’ve had the Jibun Techo for three years and am also curious as to why it doesn’t get much love.
Right?!? It’s crazy!
well, been there, done that, didn't like the font and the design, so I moved on, simple as that
With the timeline down the center, it works daily for both lefties and righties. As a leftie, that is important to me.
I am a lefty too!! Lefties unite 💗 But yes, I totally agree!
@@lillabjornco I noticed you were in your video, so I trust your recommendation!
Aww that’s so sweet!
Righttttt
So glad you agree!
Just to clarify, does the Jibun Techo only come in a B6 size? Or is there a larger size? 💝
There is a larger size! It also comes in an A5 slim ☺
Can you tell me where you got the pen loop?
The pen loop is from AliExpress!
I love my jibun techo!! I have been using it for 5 years!
Yayy! I'm so glad 😁
I won it from ther Instagram but its was the January start and got i 2 =3 month ind but i will tray it out in July when 2 second hafe starts
But are you doing more vidios abut it
You won it?! Wow, that is awesome!
@@TimeWithSussane Yes I will be!
Don’t know if I got the wrong one but mine came in Japanese which made it essentially useless for me🥺
Oh no! In the version I have, it is partially Japanese, but the months and the days are also given in English - is that not the same in yours?
@@lillabjornco yes it’s partial on dates but I got the pack with the Life Book to record all essential information and that was exclusively Japanese, if they brought out a full English version I would strongly consider using it but at the moment it just adds a layer of complexity I don’t need to already hectic days…but a brilliant idea and design, just waiting on English version🫶
Oh no, that’s too bad! Yeah totally!
Dumb question but is it undated?? Because it’s now June I may have to wait till the 2025 planners come out :(
Not a dumb question at all 💗 It is dated, BUT it’s divided into 2 booklets (Jan-June and July-Dec). This means that you can use the second booklet in it’s entirety 🥳 Also, I know many sellers are listing them at a discount since half the year is over. Hope this helps 🥰
Can I ask where you purchased yours from? I looked on JetPens and it doesn’t look like it’s a two book set but I could be wrong
@@RRosing6744 I actually did purchase mine from JetPens! Had I not looked into it, I wouldn't have thought it was a two book set either dw. I don't know if they have any B6 slim left, but I do see they have the A5 slim still in stock and discounted!
Where can I get one of these?
I purchased mine on JetPens, but they’re also available at Barnes and Noble, most stationery stores, and Amazon!
I like that gray pen. Is it a Uni? What type?
You’ve got a good eye! It is a Uni-ball One body, with a Uni-ball Jetstream refill 💖
@@lillabjornco ok, I thought it may have been a UniBall One F…I love the Uniballs!! I have a few Ones and a P…the P is fun…I want to try the F. Thank you!!
Yes it is an F! The body is my favourite 😇 I’ve been having some trouble with the Uniball ink, that’s why I swap!
@@lillabjornco that’s so funny bc my friend had that experience with the uniball one…and I’ve had nothing but positive experience…I recently purchased brown black uniball one ink and it’s fantastic. I guess it’s the luck of the draw!! I also love the Bordeaux Black…I’m wondering if the .38 ink works better…she’s a .5 person and I’m a .38 person and I’ve never had a problem.
That is too funny because I’ve noticed it’s a 50/50 whether or not someone has a problem with the Uniballs haha! I’ll def buy a 0.38, why not 😉
Hey, where can i buy this?
I purchased mine from JetPens, but they’re also available at Barnes and Noble and even Amazon!
@@lillabjornco thank you so much!
No problem!
Does it exist in English or just Japanese?
Mine is in English! 😍✨ But it does also have Japanese translations as well!
