    Nice finds! Love the Masons symbol. The thimble with an open end is a tailor's thimble and the key looks like a watch winding key.

    • @Treasure-Charger
      @Treasure-Charger  3 месяца назад

      Thanks, relicretriever! So, is the thimble supposed to be open topped? It looks like it was made that way. The little key does make sense for a watch winder. Appreciate it and good luck on your hunts!

    • @relicretriever4130
      @relicretriever4130 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Treasure-Charger Yes, tailor thimbles are made with an open-end. You can read about them on Google. I made an interesting find yesterday. A patriotic Rev. War button. I did not know anything about them but I used Google Lens to learn about the button. It turns out it may have been worn by an officer. Waiting to learn more.

    Very cool finds! I just attended the 225th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky F.&A.M. yesterday, so the Masonic emblem is especially exciting to me! The symbol didn't include the letter G until around the 1870's or so, so that should help date it on the early end.

    • @Treasure-Charger
      @Treasure-Charger  3 месяца назад

      Thank you very much, kyvettman! The G symbol definitely helps me. The coins were earlier, but a home stood in this place until the 1960's. Appreciate the veiw, comment, and information. Have a great week!

    Hey there excellent Hunt. The Mason piece you found Congrats Big Time. I just recently found my first one a few years ago. I live in Nevada. Yours is definitely older than the on it found. Congrats on the 1851 and 1853 Coppers. Those are Coins I won't find here. Love the Sash Buckle and Suspender piece. The Suspender Piece you found I just seen a picture where Mason Merc found one. It had a picture of a person on it. Very Cool. Love the 1860s Pat.Dat piece. Anything with a Pat Dates on it is always a great find. Love all the Coins and Relics you found. Take Care Crazie Digging. Almost forgot the Watch Winder you found Beautiful. That's a Bucket Lister for me

      Hello, Crazydiggin and thanks! What is the Mason piece used for? Is it just decoration do you think? Got you subbed now. This hunt was in western Indiana. The area has some early 1800's history picking up some toward mid to late 1800s. Thanks for the comments and good luck on your hunts!

    • @craziedigging4590
      @craziedigging4590 3 месяца назад +1

      @Treasure-Charger Thank you. I'm not sure if the Mason Piece is for Decoration. I donated the one I found at our tiny museum. I was told they'd would have to look if it belonged in the cemetery. Where I found mine I wad even close to a cemetery. I'm still wondering also, but very cool Relics we found there. I'm in a small mining town. It started as a Stage Stop late 1870s.
