Nice to see another GH video from you, looking forward to season 2! Hardware quality affects how fast the "health" (the heart icon) of the hardware goes down. 10/10 lasts the longest. When hardware health goes below around 50% you may start to experience crashes and other issues of random severity depending on what component is failing. Something to keep in mind when using scripts from other players is that they could have bugs or limitations, I have not used that custom nmap script myself, it looks good, but if the info ever seems off, you should double-check with the default nmap script. Good luck!
For some reason YT latched onto the first series but never really promoted the second. The videos weren't really performing and I figured it wasn't worth continuing so I've moved away from it again already, but please enjoy.
42:33 Don't delete the "Connection Established" ones (unless you know there won't be a "Connection closed" after it. Only remove the "shell obtained...", "deleted file...", "routed to...", etc. if you delete the "Connection Established" one there will only be a "Connection Closed" so they'll get suspicious. (when you exit it will log that you exited)
A "Get credentials for a particular user" mission can actually always be fulfilled just by social engineering the password. Users never have multiple logins on the network, they only have a login for one machine. Their password is just their password. So you actually don't need to know their local IP address, even though the email emphasizes that you need to make sure that you have the right address. It's correct by default.
What I learned from this video though is that you can script library version lookup. That's definitely much faster than social engineering it for one library at a time. That method I can now reserve for when I don't have a shell into the machine yet.
Scripting is definitely overpowered. It's both good and bad. If you put the time into scripting you'll solve most challenges really easily. Bad news is that it takes a lot of the problem-solving out of it, which is the majority of the fun (for me, anyway.)

Good to know - that definitely changes how I'll approach hardware purchases in the future.
Oh man, season 2! How did I miss this?
Glad to see you back in Grey Hack, very entertaining.

Glad you liked it. I do plan to come back to grey hack again eventually. Time permitting, anyway.

I takes me forever to understand the admin system in the game. I don't really catch on until season 2.
