Airbag Light Fix for S550 Ford Mustangs

- If you are installing aftermarket seats or just seats from another generation or year of Mustang you may want to get that annoying airbag light off your dash. Well after weeding through all sorts of info I decided to make a video that not only tells you but shows you how to get that airbag light off your dash.
Required items:
Seat belt receptacles (current assumption if you could loop the wires to complete the circuit).
Seat position sensors (place the sensor near metal or other have said you can short it to make it work)
Airbag resistor:
Airbag adapter:

Resistors:
uxcell a14060600ux0450 30 Piece Axial Lead 1W 1% Tolerance 2.2 Ohm Flameproof Metal Film Resistor a.co/d/be4zUYZ
Passenger occupancy sensor:
Remove sensor and bag filled with liquid from stock seat and connect to harness and place under the seat. You must zip tie or squeeze the fluid to make the airbag deploy in an accident. If it does not have pressure it will not let the airbag deploy. (Different years have different sensors 15-17 and 18-22 are different)

You are a god send, this makes me a lot more comfortable with running some Corbeau seats. I Was worried about the passenger airbag not deploying
I was in the same boat, it was hard to digest all the information or misinformation that was out on the web. I hope this helps people be able to put awesome seats into a fun car!

dude this has helped so much! Ive got a Lincoln MKZ but the harness and everything is 99% the same. what type of wire did you use for the 2.2 Ohm resistors that you used for the passenger seat? im just missing adding resistor and hopefully this works for the Lincoln too!
I just used some that I had laying around. Really can be any 12-14 gauge wire.
Killer vid I just did 19 premium seats in my 2017 base Recaro car amd air bag lighy is on.....so I really don't have to have the pad on bladder I can just cut tge hose cap off end and use the sensor? My buddy has my recaros in a race car so I need to go get that sensor then already did resistor on driver side a y info be much appreciated

Hey I was just wondering how I would go about it if I was just to delete the passenger seat completely. would I just take the bladder and harness out like in the video out and just have the loose wires kind of sprawled out

Can you please elaborate on cutting the occupancy sensor. What do I use to clamp that little hose ?
I would not cut that, people have reported it not working well when cutting. Much better to keep it and hide it under the seat.
The problem is my sensor is not working and giving me fault codes and airbag light and I just bought the car (original seats) and can’t find that sensor anywhere to buy
man i wanna delete the rear airbags that are notorious for rattling in the back of the car. someone should sell kits for this.
