    This was an expertly told story. Watching it unfold affected me quite deeply as I can personally put myself into the shoes of Chandler, as I can empathize with the feelings of deep shame and guilt he must have experienced deceiving his parents for so long. Years ago I went through meticulous steps to fabricate a story to lie to my parents about aspects of my work while attending high school spanning almost 2 entire years. When it all came crashing down it was devastating. The only thing that got me out of that rut and back on track was the grace, love and understanding of my parents. The idea of using those emotions not for constructing a better path for myself but to tear down and destroy the life they had built for me and my family like Chandler did makes me sick to my stomach. I hope everyone involved may one day recover from this incident and I appreciate you covering this topic with such poignant virtuosity.

I got excited and started to ask him about the teachers who I know are still there. Asked him about the where he lives and what transportation route he uses to get to the uni because in "my time" the traffic was horrible in that area of the city. Asked about subject I learnt if he struggles the same way .. etc etc etc. So I went into deep.
    He couldn't answer any basic question. He wasnt even sure where the building of this uni was. It came to me real quick that he is just lying. This guy till up to this day lives with his parents, tells them the same bullshit that he has exams, how hard the uni is etc etc etc.
    I hope he will not chop up his parents when they figure his lies out.
    I cannot understand how can you not see as a parent that your ~25year old son, who you know from his birth lies to you this much. It's incredible.

    I knew of that case. I watched the prosecutor and his amazing opening statement. I watched a lot of people speak about this case.
    But the way you put ths video together is something else. The editing, the thoughtful placement of quotes, interviews, photos, the commentary, the compassion... And that killer, killer ending. Allowing those couple seconds after the judge's statement to ring with silence before the curtain dropped....
    Wow. Just wow.

Think you only needed to be around level 5 and have completed literally the first task from that trader before you get it. For context, the level cap used to be 70 and there would have been >=150 tasks in total around that time.

    This kid had it all. He threw that all away because he was simply lazy, cold, calculating selfish, maniacal, lying psychopath. These were dream parents. Caring, forgiving, successful, hard-working, involved, wonderful parents. 100% of the world would love to have parents like these. He also ruined his brothers life, his aunt and uncles life. His girlfriend's and her family's lives as well. Chandler deserves the Death Penalty. There is no rehabbing this. He deserves to be judged by God. Not be more of a free loader on the backs of the tax payers in Wisconsin. So sad. So enraged he would do this to such wonderful people all around. The fitting part is his selfishness that he thought he could explain this in one of his half-baked lazy plans he has historically been so terrible at.

We are as much a part of mundane nature as a rock. We just so happen to have evolved the capacity of thought and reason and a complex social structure with the morality that inevitably would follow from such social structures.

    As a gun owner....I would not gift someone a firearm unless they themselves had prior history of legally owned firearms. The friend had too much trust of someone they just met in person from the internet.

      The SKS is just a straightforward run-of-the-mill semi-automatic gun that can be bought in Kansas without any sort of permit. And it would just be one of 40 million semi-automatic rifles across the United States.
      In this case, there is really no difference between handing him the cash to buy the gun and giving him the gun directly.

    • @S386LWBNM
      @S386LWBNM 18 дней назад +1

      @Hugebull My point still stands, I wouldn't want to be the one to supply it. Cash or physical item, to some internet friend I just met in person. Permit stuff is worthless, I live in a constitutional carry state.
      This kid had no job and no money. He would have had to face reality if it wasn't for the gift.

    • @Hugebull
      @Hugebull 18 дней назад

      @@S386LWBNM That runs into the eternal debate of whether the gun plays a part in the crime, or whether he would have simply used a different tool for the job. His life was already unraveling, and the house has knives and an axe. There are plenty of similar cases similar to this but without the use of a gun.
      But, I do agree with you that I would not want to live with the fact that I was the one who supplied the gun that was used. That's a burden to carry, no matter the legality of the transaction.

    • @S386LWBNM

    The beginning of this video is so good! How you open by introducing Chandler’s “great” life, leading me to think “Hmm, I wonder what happened to Chandler to explain how he went from this to committing a murder?” And then you use that court trial/opening statement footage to reveal that it was all a lie, which caught me off guard!
