Haha not just positive outlook! This thing is spectacular! I know a lot of reviews out there are picking on it about gaining some weight but like I said - what did you expect BMW to do? Not update the M2 with any power or tech? Weight gain was inevitable along with more power and performance
Waiting for mine to hit Pert Newark this week (hopefully). The only option I did not order was the Carbon Package (but did order Carbon Roof). I got the Automatic. I love the looks. It has attitude, sorta like where I grew up in Brooklyn attitude.
Finally, a review of a BMW M2 that’s not done by a BMW cheerleader… very refreshing to get an honest, well balanced take on the G87. Thanks Omar, well done!
I'm pretty sure most reviews haven't been done by "cheerleaders". Throttle House, savagegeese, Daily Motor, MilesPerHr etc. have all berated the car for losing the "soul" older cars had. They see it as a betrayal of BMW's long-held philosophy dating back to the days of the M1, Batmobile and E30 M3.
@@drjk7565 Interesting… I don’t think I’ve seen the ones you mention. That said, I have read others who did leave me thinking they were very biased, hence the “cheerleader” moniker, and why I thanked Omar.
@@germanengineering204 Despite my previous comment, I don't think all of BMW's current lineup is bad. The M340i is still the benchmark sports sedan in its class (bonus points for no buck teeth), and according to some, the 230i is a hidden gem that's closest in spirit to a traditional BMW.
Took me all but a minute to really like the looks after seeing one in person. wasn't planning on it but I liked it so much that I put a deposit on one. lol
The design doesn't flow to my eyes. The intakes in front look like utility frames you buy at Home Depot to frame the hole in the drywall you cut for your laundry plumbing. And the shapes down the side look like your first job whittling a wooden race car as a kid where you cut away too much here and not enough here. Definitely a work in progress look, borderline ugly. But the mechanicals are good.
Would you buy the new BMW M2? Let me know!
Absolutely but with a manual #savethemanuals
@@sali8425 Not even if they drop it by 30k and add a hand job. It is a hideous looking car, a truly disaster in terms of styling.
@@Krasshirsch You are entitled to your opinion 😀
@@Krasshirschlmaooo i wish i could like this twice
Absolutely. BMW has a winner.
Yup yup 👍
Mahalo nui Omar
Great review; love your positive attitude and outlook.
My M2 is scheduled for delivery in September……….super excited.
Ciao

And Mahalo to you as well! I'm flying to Kona Hawaii tomorrow!
@@omardrives Have a fantastic trip. Big Island is beautiful.
I live on Maui and we’ve got a couple roads that are really fun to misbehave on.😉
Aloha
Mine is coming in June/July. Alpine white, cognac interior, manual transmission. Can’t wait!
Nice! Congratulations 🙌

Yup it talks a minute to grow on you. You gotta look at all the angles of it to really appreciate it. Hope this video showed that

This is the only review on YT that has the front license plate on. Can you talk about it?

well done another great vid!

Was looking FW to seeing the trunk space... "11:04 - Rear Legroom / Cargo Space" BUT no. 😠
nice car and your rewiew is good
Appreciate that!
‘Finally’ gets an M engine ?? What’s in my F87 M2 Comp ?? Lol
I was going to say the same thing - maybe he thought the N55 carried over from the 2016-18 OG M2? M2 Comp had the S55 M engine from 2019-21.
Fun little car. Makes you wish no cops were around to tear it up.
I know! That was my biggest thing while driving this on every day roads
Good luck to them to catch you on that thing
02:27 "For less monies". 🥴
M car but not made in germany.....
