- Join us on this Thanksgiving day hunt in the Catskill Mountains of NY. We were blessed with this fine buck and look forward to many more memories in the outdoors! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t yet!
Heck of a shot and heck of a buck, really enjoyed watching this as it brings me to my home region, really enjoyed watching the family out there with you! Congratulations great job!
Thank you so much! I just started watching more of your videos! I’m glad I found you! We both put in a lot of effort where we hunt!
Congratulations on the deer Tim, and on Thanksgiving. What a great memory. Beautiful buck and once again the whole family involved. Well done buddy.
So cool how you transport the deer on the hood of the Jeep, old school, I love it. The more I watch your videos and channel the more I think about getting a Jeep for hunting.
Thanks for sharing and the great video.
Regards
Mark
Thank you Mark! I appreciate that you understand the extra involved in having the kids be part at that early age but how wonderful and important it is! I hope that if they don’t take up hunting that they will remember helping me and their grandpa fondly- I hope that will be the case. Just like you, we have a rich hunting heritage and Jeeps have been part of that. In fact after posting this video I had multiple folks comment that all the meat is ruined from the hot hood or you must just want to show off your kill- Well…. All I know is that I can not envision a hunting trip without the jeep even though we have trucks as daily drivers- it’s just memories to me and part of our story- I would HIGHLY recommend getting one- it is old school! I can’t tell you how many thumbs up and waves we get from passers by, because they too are taken back to the old days when Jeeps were hunting vehicles! You and me both are trying hard to hang on to our hunting history and keep it alive in our kids best we can! Sentimental for sure! As we drove home that day my dad asked me to drive by the old family homestead even though a Byron doesn’t own it anymore- He thought it would make the ancestors happy if they could somehow see us drive by with a buck on the hood again!
Congratulations Tim! Happy Thanksgiving from Indian Lake
Thanks so much! Hope to see you on the lake up there soon!

I use iMovie on my cell phone and that app allows you to do a voice over - over your photos or videos. I also get the music royalty free from the youtube library

Congratulations on a fine deer! I got my 8 pointer this year the day after Thanksgiving. Nothing like hunting during the Thanksgiving holiday. Still want to see a video starring that Mannlicher. ;)
Congratulations on your buck! Thanks for watching and commenting- I think I will do a video on that soon! I know I keep saying that! Just need more hours in the day lol
Good job. By the way, that's a nice set of whiskers you're sporting!
Thank you lol
Really enjoyed the video. Mark from back country pipe mentioned your channel so thought I'd check you out. This reminded me of hunting as a kid with my dad and his friends in north eastern PA. I like how you included the whole family. Subbed and will be catching up on some of your videos. Don
Hello there! Thanks so much for checking us out and we appreciate you subscribing. Similar to Mark we love the older hunting traditions and try to keep them alive! Thanks again for watching!

Good job Tim! So your dad is Ridgerunner, our hunting club up north is the Ridgerunner hunting club. Isn't the drag fun!
Yes he is! Nice to hear from you Griz! Hope you have success this season
That's the way it awe to be every time I've ever harvested a deer my family was thankful an excited 😮😂😅
I agree! Thanks again for watching!
Congratulations! Thought those mountains looked familiar. Saw the 212 and 28 signage and started reminiscing. Happy Thanksgiving from Krumville.
Oh wow! Thanks for watching and commenting! Hope you also had a great thanksgiving!
Another nice one
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
My two cent opinion,,,never put a deer on the hood of any vehicle, the heat from the engine can ruin all the meat in a very short time,,thats not a opinion its a fact
I agree, cool the meat down as soon as possible for the best results, do not warm it up.
Thanks for your opinion- We have never had any issue with 3 generations of hunters putting deer on our Jeeps- that being said we never travel more than a few miles from the hunt to home.
I would agree with longer trips, but luckily we hunt a few miles from our house- Never had any issues- thanks for watching and commenting!
In three generations no one ever considered buying a truck? I think you all just like driving through town and showing off! That would not go over very well in Missouri,we are true conservationists with morals and respect our wildlife.
@@devondillon4431 and another two cents from me,,,I agree with you 100%....I have hidden plenty of deer behind the back seat of a CJ7. And that's a fact ,,,same thing when you see a person ride all around town with a 45 lb skipper in the bed of their truck with the tailgate down so everyone can see they knocked the spots almost off it,,,,,,
Great buck and nice capture of the shot. What radios do you guys use? Are they effective in the mountains?
Thanks so much! Let me look at the cb and get back to you- they are just ok. Line of sight. If you get a ridge in between forget it
Sorry it took so long - the brand is Mag One radios
its funny my wife just helped me drag a deer home the other night lol nice buck
Thanks for watching and commenting! I’m glad she was able to help you! It’s definitely not an easy job lol
What rifle/calibre were you shooting? Kinda looked like a CZ possibly. Congratulations on the Thanksgiving day success!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting- good eye- Yes it’s a CZ 550 FS in 270- I only get to hunt with it when my wife isn’t using it 😆
Maybe he wanted dinner ready when he got home
안녕 하세요 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
A bit lame at times.
Please send me a link to your hunting videos. I would love to learn how to spice it up!
Auuu, the good old days when folks used to cook their deer on the hot hood on the way home! 😃
Never burned a hair in 60 years!
Lucky for us it’s only a couple miles home!
Thanks for watching!
