    For 145K I would normally just say grind it out until youre debt free but amazon is toxic. On top of that 3 investigations? Get out now. • @zenchi9214
    @zenchi9214 Год назад +18

    Never go to HR unless you have documented proof in video and/or audio showing a pattern of egregious abuse. If you just have vague “my bosses don’t include me and are passive aggressive and don’t like me, etc.” it’s not going to do anything. HR has to investigate because they have to give the person a chance to defend themselves. They can’t just take your word for it. Which makes sense. Imagine if someone accused you of something and HR just believed them and fired you without investigating. If there’s no proof the other person is just going to lie, and HR can’t figure who is telling the truth so they do nothing but document it in a file. Now, despite anti-retaliation, you have a target on your back. They are going to be careful not to do anything too obvious, but they are going to start a smear campaign and isolate you. Your best bet is to recognize that they are playing 4D chess and you didn’t even know you were in the game. The game of thrones no less. People are toxic and no matter where you go eventually you’re going to encounter one or more people that are snakes. Heck, there are even toxic snakes in church! So, my advice is to go to therapy, toughen up, learn the lessons you need to learn, and save like crazy. Then, in time leave on your own terms. Don’t let someone run you off. You’re not going to di e at work unless you let them send you into an early grave. Be as shrewd as a snake, but as gentle as a dove. When they sense that you know what’s going on, but you’re unaffected and refuse to stoop to their level, they’ll either self destruct, try to cozy up to you, and/or find new people to torment. Again, HR can’t help unless there is documented proof of harassment or discrimination over time. You writing a letter isn’t proof and not to be mean but makes you seem (although I know you’re not) like a high maintenance drama queen. With the right perspective, some therapy, a better understanding that people can be cruel and toxic, and a strong prayer life you can come out of this stronger . I’m rooting for ya!

    Put aside all the money you can, if worse comes to worse, take a job at 60k that allows you to breathe and use that money put aside to fill in the gap in pay until you can come up with a better solution. Once you DO get in a better situation, put ALL the money you can into a close-to-liquid investment like a good ETF so that if you get in this position again, you'll be able to live off the interest indefinitely (you can typically pull out money from an ETF in about 1 business week so as long as you plan ahead you're fine).

Trust me, I am an employer, with Covid and all the free things government is giving to people, people don’t want to work, they do whatever they want to do at work, employees know there is a shortage. Amazon main concern is to get people orders to them the next day. You can’t expect to make 145k as a leader and don’t get stressed. Some people are married to the government, they only have to work a few hours to get their welfare and they don’t so they bring all that to the job. You believer start praying . I personally pray for my bosses, my employees , my colleagues and have made up my mind that I am not leaving my job until I retire. You upgraded your lifestyle to 145k a year , now you are in a trap. Dave Ramsey always say live on less than you make, if she was living on a budget or $90,000 a year, she will not be working in abuse and a toxic environment. If I were her, I will pray , go to work, adjust my life to $90,000 a year , become debt free and leave. Learn the culture and go with the flow of you want that kind of money.

      Good insight. Those apparent mood swings just might be the birthing place of a lot of the toxic atmosphere at her job site. He is probably right to advise her to move on, but even if I am wrong, it seems she could use some counseling for coping skills.

      Her salary grade is irrelevant and women can handle high stress jobs just fine. No one should be subjected to a toxic and abusive corporate culture and bully bosses. Amazon has a bad reputation for this bullshit. I believe Eileen.

    Sounds like chick on chick harassment. This is why I am so thankful that I have set myself up with financial freedom so that if I am in a work situation where I have too many chicks above, below or same level as me I simply quit amd find a workplace with more men!

      Yes, as a female, female bosses are usually problematic. And a department of women is unbearable.

      It's the psychological warfare. I'm in the Army and men do it too, just not as often. Usually they want to clear things up and move on instead of stewing passive aggressively.
