For anyone wondering and asking - During a pretty lengthy and relatively opened interview between Todd and content creator, Mr. Matty plays last month, Todd was asked abut Shatter space and what to expect. Todd mentioned the expansion being the first of what what he hopes to be many expansions and at about a yearly cadence as long as there are interest in it. The expansion is claimed by Todd, himself, being the about the size and scope of Fallout 4's Far Harbor, and focused on a single planet and looks to have plenty of explorable areas and a bit closer to that exploration some were wanting in Starfield (do expect a overhaul because Todd wants each game series to have their own unique exploring).
@@derekw948 Well tbh, with the kind of games Todd and Bethesda make, I don't think we'd ever really get a Todd game right out the gate and launch with nothing or little to nothing the community would be hammering at for them to hurry up and update and fix or add this and that. Besides, IMO, It's more important to make a great foundation and base of a game, and later be committed to listening to feedback and opinions and wanting to continue supporting the game and wanting to ensure that it can be and does live just as long and meaningful as Skyrim and Fallout
Sounds like what Starfield needs at the moment. More handcrafted locations with awarding exploration rich in environmental storytelling, characters, and quests.
I certainly hope that the initial release was a skeleton of a universe that will be filled in as we go, this being the first of many to rival the depth of ESO. Hope this brings up the player base

The Great Serpent is a Starborn who has passed through Unity thousands of times. As a result, it became a corrupted entity that needs to "eat" galaxies to stay "awake".
I'm looking forward about how BGS is going to fix the plugin limit issue. I'm at 110 plugins and adding any further one makes ships in the game disappear or crashes the game. This is a huge issue and makes me wonder if BGS is serious about their modding and creation club efforts at all.
Weird question, but does anyone know if they've shown more Varuun NPCs, and if there's a wide variety of ethnicities. The very few we saw in the base game were all either from the Middle East or Balkans. For a long time I have worried whether it goes against lore to give Serpent's Embrace to someone else.
God, you culture warriors just can't stop yourselves. It's like you define yourselves by opposition to the vaguest of all things imaginable. Like seriously, I get annoyed by "woke" bullshit too. But it's also like "If you got a problem with it, go make your own shit." For me it's like this. While I can definitely define "wokeness" to an extent, it's mostly a meaningless dismissal of frankly too many things, oftentimes leading to a situation where people end up having to argue against just basic empathy simply to avoid being woke, which is so ill-defined that any act of kindness or understanding could reasonably be considered that, alongside the more egregious examples. It's just a silly word. For example, I keep hearing that people should keep politics out of movies, stories, or art in general. And I hear that and it's like "Whether you agree with it or not, all storytelling is INHERENTLY political." This idea that this is something new is the most ridiculous aspect of this. The Terminator was about abortion. Star Wars (the OG trilogy) was a criticism of American imperialism, the prequels were about how democracies deteriorate and die. There's a string of storytellers throughout history that wrote brilliantly political works (for the time) and were punished for it. My point is that this whole argument over wokeness, while having elements I agree are annoying, is pointless because it's just an argument against someone else's politics more often than not. It's one of those things where if it only said shit you agreed with, no matter how political it got, you'd almost certainly be fine with that. It's just silly to me.
