  • The Haiti They Don't Want You To See Part 2. In Haiti, I travel to theCitadelle Laferrière, one of Haiti's Greatest structural achievements to learn more about Henri Christophe Fortress and Haitian Culture. The Citadelle Laferrière is a largely early 19th-century fortress built to protect the Country from Haiti invading countries
The Citadelle Laferrière and Sans-Souci Palace near Milot, a commune in the Nord department of Haiti, 12 miles south of Cap-Haïtien

Totally different, you wouldn't be kicking out the government to start a new one, ypu have infrastructure in place and wouldn't also destroy it, all you'd be doing is declaring yourself independent from USA As citizens you'd all pay taxes which today they don't to pay for roads schools and such. Increase tourism with all inclusive, today there's zero all inclusives and you'd have to increase sales to other countries of PR sugar coffee milk or whatever else you can sell. But PR citizen don't want to pay any kind of real-estate or any taxes. So they'll never vote to be independent

They won't show you all the mansions with their pool in their backyard along with all the servants it takes to keep their homes well maintained. The 1st thing you hear on the news is how it's the poorest country in the western hemisphere. You never ask yourself why is this the information they are reading from the teleprompter when the news is about an earthquake. White supremacist will always hate Haiti & show Haiti in the worst possible light because we beat them down & kicked them out. Have some common sense & ask yourself why? I didn't see anything horrible in the video. So please tell me what's so horrible about Haiti? I'll wait⌚⏱🕛⏳

I grew up with Haitians here in NYC and in South Florida. They are some of the most beautiful people (inside and out). It sickens me every time I think of how they were crippled into poverty by the French AND the U.S. What France did to Haiti, is the same thing they did to Burkina-Faso in the 1980s. In addition to an independence debt, they had Thomas Sankara assassinated. Haitians should always keep their heads up for being the FIRST free black republic to liberate themselves from slavery. Excellent work! As someone who lived in Jamaica for over 2 years traveling the interior and more rural areas this is a reminder of how the media misleads the world about these natural and cultural treasures instead focusing on anything negative. Don't believe the hype and visit. I have always longed to visit Haiti and now more inspired from your video!

Wow, what majestic & monumental creations these castles are & knowing that they were built in a time & era lacking the equipment that we use today in erecting such monstrous structures can certainly leave you in an almost state of disbelief. If you were not told that these monumental structures existed in Hati, you could easily be fooled into thinking that you're viewing dwellings from Rome or Greece. Thanks for taking us on the tour & revealing to us what most of us did not know.

FACTS!!! After the Haitian Revolution all world powers (read slave holders) isolated Haiti and demonized Haitians out of fear there'd be more successful slave rebellions throughout the western hemisphere. Plantation owners in the American south heavily lobbied Thomas Jefferson and subsequent American presidents to economically and diplomatically isolate Haiti.

Just the infrastucture is missing but I love the people. I have haitian friends here in Jamaica but now I see it's the lack of infrastucture and opportunity that they were running from but definitely not from the scenery or people. Loving what I see. So surprised.
