I have been going to that museum seence I was 2 I never knew it had that rare of trains like 1522 and this
Is Nickel Plate Road 170 was built in 1927 by ALCO-Brooks in Dunkirk New York?
Since CNW 1385 got a new boiler it is possible NKP 170 could get one also and be restored to operation at Fort Wayne.
Ah yes, the elephant-eared hudson! Nicely done CNW 1015
I'm actually surprised you didn't specify that 170 was being considered for restoration by none other than SLSTA, whom obviously chose 1522 over her. She's definitely far from an exception to the museum's unique steam locomotives
Awesome 😊
I know it is but again they would have to build a whole brand new boiler and get it up to FRA standards
I know it is possible since Sierra Railway number three had to have her going to replaced what is not an easy task it is very expensive
When does your next steam engine presentation come out?
i hope 170 is steamed.
⬆️ needs to be restored to running oder.
