I am American but the depiction of the German is actually the way I approach social media. I'm not like most Americans though! Just thought it was funny because of how much it reminded me of myself using the fake name and VPN for Facebook. 😂

In Russia you NEED to use VPN to access Facebook, Instagram, X, etc. Our state cares about our privacy and because of that these sites are inaccessible without VPN.

I think in the US younger people use Snapchat and TikTok as their social media. Older people use Facebook or instagram. I’m genX and I feel like there’s no social media I really like any more. I mostly send photos thought text to talk with people, but occasionally I will make a random Facebook post. Usually just a few times per year now. I don’t even care that much about my data privacy, social media apps are all just garbage to me. I still have accounts, just don’t really use them much.

It was funny cause I was one of my friends on Facebook who had not a fake age since I was 13 and they were younger. ahh, good old times and it was kinda more fun back then on platforms like that but maybe I just think it was cause of nostalgia.
Well, I deactivated FB in 2015, deleted my account on WA in 2019 and never were on Instagram
I turning 26 in two month and I never missed anything really.

Yessssss exactly what we were talking about at work yesterday. We were discussing life of middleaged people working for a corporation livibg off of loans and just getting by with anticipated no retirement allowing even a decent senior life vs. RUclipsrs 😂 who have made milions and milions of dollars and here my colleagues had many examples of things I did not know existed like some channel were a woman is provoked by her husband to gag and milions of viewers watch this. Like I don't understand this world anymore 😂 I just don't. As for Facebook I don't know how they do it but they they some how do with those weird suggestions people you do not want to befriend once opening an account or youtube commercials being from random words you say out loud during the day😮
