  • We are grilling what look like mini T-Bone steaks! But what they are, are actually lamb loin chops. These may be small, but they are mighty delicious. What side of the lamb loin chop is your favorite? The strip side, or the filet side?

    Hey mate great video. Pro tip from an Aussie - for the last minute put the chops FAT side down on the grill so the fat goes nice and crispy too !

      That is an awesome tip! I don't know why I didn't think of that - I do that when I make rack of lamb so this was an obvious one. Thank you!!!!! :-)

    Always enjoy your channel. I am also in Australia and got a great deal on lamb loin chops today. It is spring here and the lamb is particularly good. Just took a refresher course on this video to make sure I was on the right track, and it seems our methods are very similar. Looking forward to some medium rare chops this evening.

    Lots of us from Australia. I love Chicago and love your channel!! Grass fed antibiotic free lamb loin chops oiled and seasoned and ready to go on my Baby Q with my off grid home grown veggies. Going to try frying the fatty bit at the last minute like my Aussie mate suggests in the comments below.

    Loin and rib chops are a steal at Costco and in heavy rotation around here. To go with I roast potatoes and carrots like you did.

    • @ChicagoGriller
      @ChicagoGriller  3 года назад +1

      Hi Mad Mex! Thanks for watching! It's hard for me to justify going to Costco since it's just two of us here with no kids, but my parents go all the time anyways. You're right, their meat and seafood prices are a steal.... I should just get a membership and do my shopping there, I guess I can always just freeze what I don't use immediately anyways.

    • @madmex6526
      @madmex6526 3 года назад

      @@ChicagoGriller Exactly what I do. It's about 14 fat loin chops per package, which is a lot and just over $30. I leave out half and freeze the rest. And like you showed us, they're super easy to grill up. More lamb and less beef for me. Best

      Welcome to the channel, and thanks for the support! These lamb loin chops are pretty simple because it's straight on the grill. There is a roast version of it too if you do leg of lamb or a rack of lamb. I'll probably do one of those dishes as we get close to spring/Easter as that's a popular time for lamb. Thanks again for the sub, and happy new year!

    So you used the same tongs you used to pick up the uncoocked lamb to the cooked lamb. So unhygienic. Stay away from cooking for other people. No wonder people got all kinds of stomach problems in this country.

    • @ChicagoGriller
      @ChicagoGriller  Год назад +2

      Same tongs but actually what you don’t see is that since I am at home I do a quick soap and rinse before the final pick up. You are right though it’s not obvious in my videos so this is an important safety tip that I should do a better job of highlighting.
