So I can coo like a dove very accurately so me and this dove at local pet store used to have conversations with me. He'd coo and then I'd coo back and he'd listen and do it again. We were pals.he lived there for like 4 year
i showed this to my dove and she started cooing she is a loner her mate died it made me sad to see this she was never so happy to hear and see another dove
Bless all your souls. I know how it feels to see your lovely companions suffering because of this. It hurts most when they try singing to their fallen mate.
awww... play it to her often then :) It's amazing how intelligent these things are. They can navigate better than any GPS, so amazing that they are so tiny yet so intelligent:)
Surprisingly, I have set this as my no.1 relaxing bgm for working/studying as it's just so peaceful hearing the coos, and it is super effective Love those doves of yours!
Awww I love them so much. Your videos made me end up getting a pair, they're so fun. They live in my home with me and love to come watch me do things around the house. When I come home if I forget to greet them they will fly to the room I'm in and say hi.
Lulz haven't sent anything lately, I was one who had a baby morning dove. Just posted a shot of her with her pink ball, "fancy doesn't like her pink ball"
Those are the most chill doves ive ever seen. They dont even seem to care when you grab them and pick them up! I take it you've had them since they were eggs? Or before or after?
Daniel Cannata yeah they were born and raised on my shelf actually haha, i let the parents raise them n all but i played with them a lot while they were young. eventually as the mom n dad didn't see them as their own anymore I'd protect them so they wouldn't fight
I have one of my own such wonderful birds. Mine is a girl sadly I can't pet her like you can yours. She is sadly blind but I adore her she is my baby. Acts like one to.
Nonono. Thats a juvenile molting into its adult feathers. Tsk tsk guys. Pidgeons dont eat one another, nor fight. Not to hat extent. My pidgeon currently looks like its heavily diseased and sick. Its doing its first adult molt from brown to grey. Its normal

Hello lulz it's been a while since I have messaged you. I am the one with the female morning dove. she has been laying eggs 4 so far and getting ready to lay more. I have been wanting to mate her and now have the chance, a male with a broken wing came to the house a few days ago and by the looks he will never fly again (grew up on a farm) hawk! that is how i got her, i just dont know if any babies will survive in the outdoors after they get old enough. mom doesn't go outside and the prospective dad can't fly to teach them

Hi! Yesterday I bought a ringneck dove and I've noticed him pacing back and forth on the bottom of the cage away from the doors. Can anyone tell me what this means? he's/she's been tripping and startling himself too and I'm a little concerned. (this is the first time I've gotten a bird too) I believe he's/she's been clipped because he's never gone to his perch nor has he gone out of the cage when I open it.
+Harper Winter doves are best kept in pairs, go back to the place where you bought the bird and see if they can determine if they're male or female, then buy another of the opposite gender. it'll probably calm them down and not be so focused in trying to get out of the cage
+lulzBrownie I've asked about genders in the store and they all asked each other and couldn't tell. As for getting another dove, I dunno. Especially since my parents are iffy about birds (big time) and we got them out of town close by. He actually got out of my cage and he stopped pacing back and forth once he got inside. Funny experience. Their feet feel so odd. XD

If it came from the wild before you found it it will be fine in the wild - unless it wants to stay ;)
