After going through one tragedy after another for the last few years, I was so desperate for help and hope. After one of my friends brought me to a wonderful church and I heard this song, it gave me hope.
while the church turned me down and didn't accepted me for who I am, God accepted me with open arms.
Thats how it is. I am a prophetic Seer. Ive been able my whole since i was young etc 7 years old. To see demons on people and so on and so on. And I know alot of spiritual things and how the church is blind. And i have been harrased by the churches also. But Jesus and God and Holy Spirit - Dont care about the churches. The real church is true followers to him who walk with his Spirit in Gods Kingdom, that is within you =). You are his family.
Because it's religion that turned you down, _you_ yourself are the Church too! :)

Through all my relapses, this song kept me alive and helped me know Him at my lowest. Everyone close to me that I could see walked away, but The One I could feel was always there. I am not near what i should be, but because of Him, I at least have the chance. God Bless. Love this song.

The thing I've noticed about Cory's songs is they're all incredibly personal. Where it definitely feels like the songs aren't for an audience but the audience can still relate a lot to what's said. I was raised in a house where Christian music was a constant, and I don't remember any of the songs I heard growing up be the kind that makes a person stop and go, "this applies to me so much, it's as though the writer took my thoughts and feelings and put them to paper." Cory's song 'Dear God' is the one that broke me down the most. "The harder that I try, the harder it becomes..." "I've been chasing their approval and it's killing me..." "I'm stuck inside my head..." He has quite a few songs with lyrics similar to that. It's all incredibly taxing on the emotions but after crying for a few hours, there is a weight lifted.
The Holy Spirit and God made a Rhema or personal message to every human :)
