Me 2.. I did not have cable, a new car, go to movies, eat out or a cell phone UNTIL I paid back my student loan. Both of our children sacrificed until they paid off their student loans. We, who actually work our degrees and paid off our student loans with interest do we get our money back??? No.. I don't actually believe they paid off anyone's student loan, more lies. Does anyone know someone who's loan was forgiven?

I can tell you exactly where I was and what I was doing when the 2nd plane hit. I remember that day and that time period like it was yesterday. As horrible as it was though, it was beautiful to see how many people came from all over the country to help search for survivors. Everyone came together and flew American flags and everyone wanted vengeance. All the "Never Foget" tattoos and flags. You could have told me back then that there'd be people protesting in support of a terrorist group and defending Bin Laden and just allowing terrorists to waltz in as they please less than 25 years later and I would have thought you were crazy. It's sad to see how far we have fallen, how divided we've become and how quickly we have forgotten. Literally breaks my heart!

Inflation and grocery prices are such a huge issue for everyone. I bought a few select groceries at great sale prices today from a very nice market and when I figured out my savings, I was blown away. I got my items for 40% off!!! Five pounds of ground sirloin, a pound and a half of large cooked cocktail shrimp and a package of 8 clean ingredient corn tortillas with no preservatives, etc. That's it. I paid $45.93 and at regular price it would have run $75.83! I was so excited until it struck me - that's actually what it SHOULD cost! Four to five years ago, that's what I paid for those same items from that same store. Actually, I paid even less 4-5 years ago for the ground sirloin. The sale price per pound now is $5.49 and 4-5 years ago I could buy it for $4.49 to 4.99. The regular price per pound for that now? $8.79 per pound. It was $5.99 to 6.99 then.

I was a single mother who benefitted from the Pell grant to go to trade school. I made sure to pay back the student loan part of my education (which took me 10 years at 30$ a month) because i was grateful to be able to provide for my family.
