Stage 31: Anything Gogo’s | FFXIV Blue Mage Achievement Guide

Stage 31 of the masked carnivale is likely the most difficult of the challenge stages, and so it can be a hard for many players to overcome. However with the increase to level 80 and the introduction of new spells it's no longer as bad as it once was.

Thanks for the guide, I finally beat it! I didn't have Nightbloom, but once you know the mechanics it's not too terribly hard to stay alive while you slowly chip away at him :)

Thank you for the guide! He's a fairly simple fight, and I managed to survive through two Diamondback Meteors. The thing that trips most up is remembering the Charybdis diameters.

I haven’t tried this fight since I got the achievement before the new spells were added but does eternal flame work on him? Normally it can stack with breath of magic and bloom/ siren, figured I’d ask instead of trying it cuz….. ptsd

You can, however, I believe using both mortal flame and breath of magic on a single character is generally a dps loss which is why in a full party you'd normally want 2 different people to use them, and of the two breath of magic is generally the more powerful at least when it comes to shorter fights as I don't think mortal flame passes breath of magic until like the 4 minute mark(math could be wrong with that)

I think you kill him too fast for it to make a difference. The power of mortal flame is the fact that it's infinite and so it generates more value the longer the fight. However, the opposite is true as well where it is less valuable the shorter the fight

Just a point; Doom won't instantly kill you when the timer lands, you get 10 seconds after its cast to top yourself off and remove the debuff.

When he inflicts the doom he also inflicts a debuff preventing you from healing
